I too was buying G25 and PS3 for GT5, but after that fail, I turned my attention back to flight sims until AC early access. 2011 and 2012 was all about DCS and BMS, that's why I didn't back Pcars, the pit was all in flight config until last year.

So this year was all about prepping for next-gen sims: CSPv2, TH8RS, new seat, revamped pit, sold the TM warthog and now I'm just waiting for the V2 base. And Pcars. And Rift... It never stops, lol.

Those warthog controllers look pretty bad ass!

That's what it's all about, these guys selling codes on eBay are being quite greedy I think..
When is it going to be available for you?
The website says January 30 which is cool with me. I ordered the base and Clubsport V2 pedals. That gives me almost 3 months to save up for the CSS SQ and whatever rim I'm going to pick up first.:)

Bought a used CSWv1 and Formula Wheel from a respected member of the iRacing community. Motors have been replaced previously, everything appears to be in great condition, and they were shipped in the original Fanatec packaging. I've had a CSW before (sold it when I moved into a smaller apartment) so I'm familiar with using it.

I followed all installation instructions from the website, plugged everything in, turned on the wheel, installed the latest drivers (200), it asked me to update to the latest firmware (53) so I did. Everything went fine, but when it went through the centering process after turning the wheel back on it pulled all the way to the left and stayed there. It was held pretty tight so it took a little force to turn it back to center, turned it a little to the right and it automatically pulled all the way to the right and stuck there again. The same thing happens over and over again, it's normal (loose) in the center but once I go a 1/4 turn or so in either direction the motors pull it all the way in that direction. I did the centering calibration but that didn't do anything to help the problem.

I tried iRacing with it, calibrates fine until I get to the final 50 degrees or so of movement on each side, then it pulls hard to the left or right. Once I get in the game the wheel just jerks left and right when I try to turn a little, so I have to fight to hold it centered, otherwise the wheel just pulls all the way to one direction.

I uninstalled everything and went back to an older driver (144) and firmware (37) and it still has the same problem.

I tried it on a second computer, so completely fresh install, started with 144 drivers, same problem, then to 200 drivers, same problem. I tried different USB ports, USB 3.0, 2.0, powered hubs, unpowered hubs, not sure what to do from here.

I took a video to show what's happening (video still processing, give it a few minutes):

Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a question...You said the motors have been replaced previously right? Did the previous owner test the wheel when he replaced the motors or did he simply replace the motors and call it done before selling it to you?

Here's why I'm asking. Based on the video you posted the wheel never enters into the firmware screen on the LED on the wheel. It just half calibrates before it's locked. That happened to me exactly in the same fashion. I replaced the motors myself from a replacement set sent by Fanatec.

The issue is the replacement motors that were installed are wired in reverse. The manual that Fanatec CS emails you specifically tells the owner this may happen, so they want you to check the wires against the original motors. I did not do so and was perplexed for about 5 minutes until I read the entire manual carefully =) It's an easy wire reversal, but if you're not comfortable changing the pins out of the white plug you might want to ask for help.

Hope this helps.

Who got a code? Did he get a code? Will my code work? How much is shipping? Did yours ship yet? Do you know if mine will ship soon? Will they ship to my town? I hope it ships soon! Faaaaaaaart

I so can't wait to finish work tonight lol
The Porsche rim was re delivered today to the Restaurant as there wasn't anyone at home yesterday.
All I can say is it's a thing of beauty and personally I love the brown leather! :D

Still waiting on my csw v2 and css Sq -_- early December ship date.

Still need a steering wheel, can't decide between BMW gt rim or universal hub and aftermarket wheel. The only thing really turning me away from BMW rim is the alcatraz I don't want to wear gloves lol

Anyone wanna buy a csr elite in the US?

Home sweet home!
I love it, and I love not wearing gloves just as much. To think I was just about to buy a new pair of Alpinestars gloves, I can cross that off the list for now

Congrats, Mark.
Is that Latte's old Monsta display? Didn't know you had it.
The only thing missing is a handbrake and a set of Oculus goggles. :)

Thanks Christiaan.
Well spotted yes it is although currently it's not working, some kind of driver issue.
Funny Latte and I were talking about the Oculus goggles last week and I just don't think they'd be for me. I love the look of my sim gear and wouldn't be able to see it wearing goggles.

@Carson79 porsche 918 looks amazing, wish i could afford that extra cost :(

Seems like the BMW GT rim might be the one i go with.

What gloves is everyone using for this wheel?

@lazjet The BMW rim is an excellent wheel rim.
When you add up the cost of the Un Hub and a good aftermarket wheel rim there isn't much difference in the cost of the Porsche rim......It's worth every penny
Yeah sparco gloves here too

That's before you've tried it! I was blown away by my rift. The immersion is just something else entirely. Takes it to a whole new level. What you would lose in not seeing you gear is infinitesimally small compared to what you gain in immersion. Try it and you'll be a convert!

I just ordered the CSW V2 base and BMW M3 GT2 wheel rim D: eta is january. now i am thinking about getting the obutto ozone. not sure

Exactly, immersion is why we buy wheels, seats and triple screens in the first place, so why stop there?

To each their own really.
One of the reasons I bought any of my gear was based on how it looks and how it makes me feel using them and looking at them.
I wouldn't need a £300 wheel rim with leds on the rim with a rift because I simply would not be able to see them lol.
I'm sure it is great for immersion but personally it's not for me. I don't like wearing gloves thats why I bought the 918 RSR, and I hate wearing glasses thats why I wear contacts 90% of the time. I will probably get laser surgery soon too.
So I definitely wouldn't enjoy wearing a headset/goggles.
I'm happy that others enjoy it though 👍

I'm the same, I want to see my wheel and shifter etc. Plus I am quite susceptible to getting sea sick so something like that will set me off I'm sure.

There are more natural ways to improve vision problems than lasers wich can cause alot of damage to your eyes. Try read this before surgery:

Yeah originally was planning to do the Hub with a cheaper aftermarket wheel but realized that wont cut it haha. The hub and the momo monte carlo that i want would run at about the same as the porsche wheel.

I deceided to go the cheapest route for now as ill also be investing in an xbox one and ps4 wheel later down the line.

So much money needed haha i also want to build a PC and get into AC and iRacing

The ozone is a great cockpit for the price 👍 especially now that i recently found out how easy it is to reverse mount the CS V2 Pedals (no modding needed bolted right up using existing bolts on the cockpit)
