Please have a look at the delivery date mentioned in the order confirmation email.

If we could not keep this date we would inform you.

I asked yesterday (ordered September 27th) and got confirmed again that it will be definately not delivered before early December. My GT2 wheel is broken so I asked if I should let it repair or if I can count with the V2 base in the next few days/week.

We are not the ones to set the rules ;)

Well, somehow Thrustmaster get it done to get the T500 working on PS4 without a security chip :)

I would prefer to make the people buy a new wheel because they are convinced that they get a much better performance. This will actually be the case and therefore I hope that the big majority of customers will be happy with their much advanced next gen wheel.
Obviously since you sell them :dopey:

I'm angry how we got played by Sony and MS, i have a beautiful good working CSR and 911 wheel (total cost 400 bucks), that are now a few years after they were released rendered useless, only so these companies (and ultimately also the third parties that get a license of them) can make money of me again...

It is and stays a deliberate scam IMO.

You don´t really think Fanatec would do that, do you? When they can sell us new and expensive products, why the hell would Fanatec make an Firmware for the older wheels that will work with the PS4?

Well I suppose there are a few reasons why I think it is worth asking:

- there may be a significant proportion of current fanatec customers who can't, for whatever reason, afford £600 for a new base and rim
- fanatec may recognise this and could provide it from a customer loyalty standpoint or they could figure out a way to monetise the firmware update (e.g. Right now I'd be happy to pay a reasonable fee for that firmware but I'm not in the position to spend £600 on new kit)
- they may also recognise that the v2 wheelbase & rims are quite a step up for those of us on gt or csr wheels and the likelihood is that unless we absolutely want full platform compatibility, they might lose us as fanatec customers to thrustmaster or another... Keeping people tied into your brand can be powerful for future sales...

There are often more ways to look at a situation...

And it cost us a lot of money that we don't have next gen wheels up to now.

Thanks for the reply, I expected this would be the case but you never know.

In previous generations I've always ended up owning each machine and the csr wheel with elite pedals was a great product which let me have one setup covering all bases.

As much as I would like to have Xbox one & ps4 and a wheel that supports both, the price of doing so this gen is too much so my current thinking is I'll have to stick with just ps4 and likely get a t300 plus Mr Bashers adapter to use my elite pedals.

I'll miss my fanatec wheel and love the look of your new kit but I suppose that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I dont get it why you would use gloves anyway? I have an Porsche GT2 wheel with Alcantara that is 3 1/2 years old. Never used gloves. Still looks fine to me. It was in perfect condition until 2 months ago as a afriend came to me and played. He gets sweaten hands when he drives. So the Alcantara feels a bit hard now. But what gives... I would feel so stupid, sitting with gloves in front of the screen. Would just miss a helmet, shoes, a racing suit and a belt and I am ready for asylum :D

I ordered the F1 Rim together with the V2 base because the BMW rim is too heavy and the Hub + wheel gets extreme expensive in combo with V2. So the F1 rim was the cheapest way.

I don't get why the military here have their soldiers in full battle regalia and boots and stuff when they run their virtual training for combat situations, I mean they could be in their underwear, I mean really.

If you're going to sim race, sim race and don't F around LOL. I'm looking for full immersion, not hey I'm sitting in front of a TV drinking beer simulator.

i am wondering if i should ask fanatec to change my order from the BMW gt2 rim to the F1 rim now heh. Also, I am wondering about the Accuforce wheel and how it compares to the CSW V2

Well, somehow Thrustmaster get it done to get the T500 working on PS4 without a security chip :)

Somehow = $$$$$$$$

Thrustmaster is a tiny company, struggling to ship their products to stores worldwide based on the challenges many people are having to actually purchase their kit. To give you an idea: 2013 revenues which you can find on the web imply Logitech hit $2 billion In revenue, Thrustmaster $40 million. They are a niche player who chooses to ship products to brick and mortar stores rather than direct webshop sales.

I doubt very much they could or would want to afford paying Sony large sums for exclusivity.

Rather more likely is that Thrustmaster simply went through the hoops to license their T300 and T80 properly, then sneaked the T500 in "through a loophole", probably simply because they already have their drivers in the PS4 OS due to having licensed the T300.

They got the Gran Turismo license...

I think Sony may have approached them initially knowing they build some quality gaming peripherals and have so over many years, so I bet they asked them to go into a partnership and develop the T500RS, therefore 'exclusivity license payments' may even be non-existant in their partnership.

Clearly something went haywire with Logitech and they were most likely asking for a larger cut from the official GT branded wheel sales.. or vice-versa, Sony saying "hey, we're the reason your selling all your wheels, we want a larger cut" when talks were being had about developing a newer and more high-end wheel for PS3/PS4 with a new contract someone couldn't agree on of course.. the 'greed' of Logitech probably ruined the partnership I think.

Smaller companies like Thrustmaster and Fanatec make the world a better place. ;) But hey, how you can call Amazon a brick and mortar store? The T500 was also supplied to BestBuy for a while but probably Thrustmaster couldn't maintain steady shipment at the time plus couldn't give the bulk sale prices BestBuy wanted. Currently I know the T100 is being sold there though.. and I'm sure they've worked out some things to more quickly manufacture and supply wheels over the last little while, maybe the marketing team can get the T300 out there into more stores soon.

You should probably add which region you are from as it is only transferable to someone in your region. Good on you for your generosity 👍

Sorry didn't realise it was region specific. I'm in Canada so region would likely be North America.

I already ordered the V2 because I got a code from somebody else. But still got no code from Fanatec. Bought the Clubsport Pedals 3 years ago.

i ordered the Clubsport V1 pedals at nea launch, i think but they dont show up as a previous order, just my turbo wheel. Sooo i am wondering if htat means i should have my preorder shipped out earlier than it currently is scheduled to be shipped out... hmmm

It's been over a year since first people got their Clubsport shifters and still they can't produce enough to have them in stock. Was looking to buy one, but now, estimated delivery is the end of Februray. Every single time I want to buy something, I'll have to wait very many months for a product. By that time I hope there are some more news about Heusinkveld H-shifter to get that one instead at a later date.

Hi everyone, haven't been here for a long long time! I've received a code for the V2 base as well. If someone is interested contact me by PM. I'm from Belgium. Cheers.

EDIT:Code has been given. Cheers.
