Nope. Don't work for Fanatec. In my line of work I'm paid to pay attention to market trends, market leaders and along the way I get to meet new friends who will share cool things with me because I happen to be into sim racing games and console racing games.

I would love to say the brand out loud, but that would violate a trust. I will say a group of folks were shown the GT rim with the "brand" a few weeks ago at an event I organized. Anyway, I hope the official announcement comes soon. I'm eager to read everyone's reaction to it.

Sorry for the larger pictures: I think it will be an Audi steering wheel.

The rim of the last picture actually looks like the Elite rim already..

There are a few plants in Regensburg. Most notably tho would be BMW. Weren't the opening/ just opened a new plant there?

Damn, i got beat. Hears my pink slip. :( ;)

I think it's more of a tuning menu screen rather than rev indicator.

You might be right ; I was just begining thinking that way.

I think it doesn't match but here the wheel from a VW Golf race car :

If there is no built-in rev indicator, do you guys think the wheel may come with a steady screen to attach directly on the wheel base ?

BUT Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche also has a plant in regensburg..
There are a lot of possible automakers.. But I think it is a BMW one.. :)

Ok, so I do know nothing :)

By the way, an Audi, Volkswagen or Porsche wheel would ne nice so...

Been looking over the recent videos again...

Twin Motors =
Stonger
Faster
Smoother

But no teeth on the belts may have an adverse effect on faster and stronger. Smoother for sure. I'm still very concerned about the requirement for a separate drift mode for faster spinning. (which I don't think I dreamed) why?

Still no news on what is obviously the BMW E92 M3 GT2 wheel (pats self on back), but Fanatec did make with some other exciting news.

The first containers of CSR products (wheel, shifter, pedals) are "swimming" as Thomas puts it, so they will make the Forza 4 launch. Pre-orders should be up soon. This is the first time I've seen a picture of the CSR Pedals, and while no Elites, you can see the family resemblance. They look nice.

The CSR Elite Wheel has a new finish. Rather than the glossy, painted finish they've switched to a rubberized matte finish. It looks nice and hopefully feels even better. These wheels are finalized and are ready to hit production in a few weeks. So they won't make Forza 4 launch, but they look like a lock before the end of the year.

Fanatec also posted a teaser image on their homepage:

Nice post, thanks for that update...

It does look however the CSR Wheel perhaps still has a glossy finish.
Im liking the new Elite wheel though and maybe more grip yet less of a fingerprint magnet.

So fanatec is using the clutch mod from the guy who made his own ebrake from csp's and also a sick shifter. Interesting.

I wonder if they hired him.

Edit. Im more interested in that red valve on the new spring and piston. Hydrolic?

Hmm; i guess these go onto the four empty holes and we get some sort of QR anyways?

Very assumptious; dont get all excited..

What kinda worries me though is this;

As a drifter; i let the wheel spin and then catch it at some random place on the rim. You can imagen it not being very nice to have that carbon/aluminum bit chop your finger off.
Now i now there will be other rims. I can also imagen the above scenario with a QR coming, because i think a lot of people will either get their wires broken or let them slip inside of the wheels housing/case..
So with that in mind;
- why cant the CSW be Xbox compatible if you can buy it with only the base, and then later an xbox compatible wheel.. (The base of the the CSW and the CSR E are identical right?)
- Why cant we buy the CSR Elite without a rim, or order it with one that does not chop of your finger when catching it at full spinning speed at the wrong place.. Even without the "CR module"

Nah, I'm pretty sure you have that backwards. I believe those quick release modules screw into the back of CSW-compatible wheels. I wouldn't mind being wrong though.

Into the back?

No, an argument would be that the same drilled metal sheets have been used for the elite and the CSW. But that would only more lead me to believe that the CR module will be made for the CSR Elite wheel.

I too was reading the page linked above, and it was this part that made me guess the QR Module:

この銀色の部品、プラかと思ったらアルミでした。
しかも左側のラインで分割されてます。
その右側に上下2本M5ボルトが絞まってるので、これを外せばハンドルが抜けるんじゃないだろうか?
もしここがコネクターになっていれば、CSWの様なクイックリリース式ではなくとも、
今後交換ハンドルが出る可能性が高まりますね。
ある程度テストが終わったら確認してみようと思う。

(FYI; i dont know jack about japanese or chinese or korean; i used google translate so if anyone from the east knows what is sais exactly; you're more then welcome to let us in on it!)

Those QR parts get screwed onto the CSW compatible rims, not to the bases. Look at Thomas' introduction video once again ;)

i just took a snippet of the last link 12th gear posted, looks like this guy has one in his possession? i may be wrong but i think the guy who wrote it is concerned about belt slipping(because its toothless) under strong ffb?? maybe this is why you can adjust the belt tension without opening the wheel.....the last bit is interesting, is he saying the t500 is better?

there are some diagrams missing so check the link to see for yourself

I tried to use a little peace in this state must be honest still usable.
And sliding-nozzle rotates a second pulley and left FFB,
Queue - without rotating the pinion pulley and right.

I had tried to respond by adjusting the tension force.

It may be the small contact area of the belt and pulley.

Second pinion pulley and pulley (large diameter)

The blue dotted line is present.

"I took the belt is too small Well, the tension pulley (red circles) or can add?
And e-mail had been.
Once reduced to less slip in tension, it also effectively bend of the pinion shaft pulley.

Large diameter pulley side of the second steering shaft and pulley.

Too close

Of how it lives? w

So, say anything to the quality of the FFB in yet.
, But no tooth belt drive truly.
Turns are smooth rush has yet to experience the zone.
Nyurun fast! Nyurun! It rotates with.

T500RS is not about speed but out, it will be a major factor of the belt slipping.
The torque slip occurs in less than Porukon FFB, which can not be compared with.

In essence

Porukon million years! Best T500!
