Still no info on the css tho. Fanatec really needs to get in gear on this.

As Thomas has already explained, getting these three new wheels sorted has taken up all of his time. Meaning that, unfortunately, some other projects had to be put on the back burner. Which I think is perfectly understandable when you consider how big a company Fanatec are.

LOL, hey I cant always get it right, come on though I was bang on for the price of the Elite pedals. :).
I assume "Fanatec" are really busy at this stage trying to get everything in place. We know the first shipments are in transit but Im concerned how long away the CSR Elite wheel will be.

We want to see this GT rim and have official confirmation of price/release. However I wouldnt be surprised if some issue arises to delay the CSW a little or indeed the first initial batch will be limited quanties. Time is against them and Id think from a business perspective as long as their are not manufacturing issues that the Elite is next in line. Not everything will be under their control and things can cause delays but the Elite wheel is focusing on FM4 and thats now only 3 weeks away from launch.

Im sure "Fanatec" will announce more news/info very soon. I guess they are pulling all the pieces together (and his hair out). SRT will be readying their reviews of course for the upcoming FM4 launch and no doubt they will get their FM4 disc soon. You can bet they will have an Elite for FM4 teasing.

I do look forward to reading and seeing peoples reviews/videos from the beta program for the Elite as it is certain now the Elite wont make the games release date. Personally I feel they need to generate more interest on the CSR & Elite wheels particulary with FM4 HYPE building and get the most from the first month of the games "release window" when the consumer interest/awareness is really high or at its peak.

Of course Thomas has had the same pressure with FM3 and the PWTS dispatching in the release time frame but this time he's under even more pressure with not just the one wheel product but several.

I wish them the best.
Fanatec will have a HOT 2012, which is suitable as 2012 is the Year Of The Dragon!

Totally off topic here, but I have seen the term "PWTS" thrown around all over the hardware side of things. What exactally does it stand for? Could help me understand this, and many other threads as well :)

Again, sorry for the OT, but figured asking here would be better than another new thread. Thanks.

"Porsche Wheel Turbo S" IIRC

I understand the delay on the shifter. Just impatient
With TM shifter due soon and the surprise release of their F1 rim I would have suspected at least some new teasers.
And it has been stated by Thomas that the first people to buy the new cockpit with underfloor will be the first people to have the css + cshb. That was scheduled to be released within the year as well.

Edit. You are correct mr. Latte.

Oh and i totally had the theme to welcome back kotter play through my head when i saw you posting again.

Thanks Caz.

So what was to happen at Rennesberg?
We still await the "middle of the month announcement update"

BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES released their 2012 DTM cars this past week.
Is their any connection regards the steering wheel particulary as some think with BMW?

See Here for more on the cars but it all could be irrelevant.

I understand and agree with the release strategy, but I figure as long as their new stuff is out for the holiday sales season I think they will be fine.

Recalling the GT2 pre-order (and I harbor no ill will on that) we all know how delays can happen. It already sounds like they are doing better in setting expectations.

Not sure if this is old news but I've just noticed that the CSR wheel now has a page on Fanatec's website. Showing "Available soon" so I guess will be going live anytime soon.

I don't think it tells us of any uprated internals but still an excellent wheel. I wonder if they'll drop the GT2 once it's released.

Sorry if this has already been noted in this thread,

Sorry if this has already been noted in this thread,

It's also up for pre-order for 249.99 Euros..

You'd have thought that it'd be a little less than a GT2 considering there's no Porsche licence bumping up the price as well as a simpler construction with no backlighting etc..

I'm sure there are reasons..

Shame about that 320 euro CSR package though. Just a rumour I guess.
But hey! CSR elite pedals are available for pre-order too.

Loose the Porche licence but then get slapped with Microsofts Forza licence I guess.

So the Clubsport Elite dont work with the GT2?? Well that sucks..

I bet they do. It may just be an oversight. Further up the page it mentions all Porsche 911 wheels as compatible (except original 911 Turbo). Still, we'd want confirmation from Fanatec.

The CSR Elite pedals can also be directly connected to the following Porsche wheels:
Forza Motorsport CSR Wheel
Forza Motorsport CSR Elite Wheel
Clubsport Wheel
Porsche 911 Carrera wheel
Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel (NOT 911 turbo)
Porsche 911 GT3 RS wheel

Yeah I am kinda hoping its an oversight, as I understand the base is the same as the GT2. Odd still not to see it on the list.

Not really. $250 for the CSR wheel but the standard CSR pedals are not up yet. They will probably be $70.

It has to be an oversight. There just isn't a big enough difference between the GT2 and GT3 to justify it not working.

I have been given the ok by the wife to puchase them, but I cant till I am 100% sure :).

The CSR wheel does not include the G25/G27 pedal adapter like the GT2.

I'm having a hard time seeing why I should choose the CSR wheel over the GT2? GT2 wheel looks more attractive and seems like it'd be better to grip with the alcantara. I guess if the Forza licensing appeals to you the CSR wheel could be the way to go?

Agreed. Also the GT2 and the TurboS are not different at all. Just in appearance. Internally they are the same.

The forza licensing is not for the CSR wheel. It is for the CSR ELITE wheel.

Edit: wait did i miss that both csr and csr elite are xbox compatible?

Caz

Wrong. They both have the Forza branding.

The CSR has the Forza logo on the centre cap and is advertised as the Forza Motorsport CSR wheel.

Both wheels have Xbox compatibility.

Edit, sorry the above posts beat me to it, please ignor.

Anyone know if the CSR has an xbox button or PS button to take to you the blade menu/XMB? Or know if that can be programmed? I'm assuming no on both...I may email support if needed.
