Awesome, thanks man :)

I think I'll just have to remember to grab my DS3 when I play GT5 and I'll have to re-map the in-race functions to the DS3 too, no biggie.

Jerome

hey, I see you dropped out of the iRacing thread. check out it for my replies to you. If you are too busy then just PM or post here your iRacing name so I can take a look at your performance and offer some help (even if you don't want help I am still curious to see your performance so post/PM name anyway!).
:)

You mad bro? Also, if you take a look @ both pages, it only states this on the CSR wheel. I am misinformed, not wrong. Jeez, someone has a shtick somewhere it does not belong lol.

They must have updated the GT2 page where it does not state this anymore and did @ one point
.

You make no sense. I did look at both pages, and even linked the one for you. So you being misinformed lead you to be wrong on your assumption. Just like hampus.

And again, I put in a link, that makes your last statment confusing. And please grow up with you mad bro crap.

You are RIGHT. But, what I was looking @ was the shop order page, not the product webpage. My fault. Happy now? Yikes. (Taking 2 steps back from the spit in my face)

I was wrong, you were right, that make you feel better. I made a mistake because I am not a robot. Robocop to the rescue!

As far as i knew i would agree with your post, but as it seems someone was clever enough to check up on that. (EDIT: and got mis informed it seems lol the irony)
But take into account the highlighted sections of your post and combine them; a very smooth belt with a high powered force feedback motor attached to it. add two additional ffb motors to it and its bound to slip. Not under normal racing conditions, but imagen your front right tire clipping a wall at an apex and what that does for the steering wheel; a large and sudden jerk of force to one side.

Not trying to trashtalk the wheel, just expressing my doubts and reasons to buy the GT2, which is now unpacked. Super tuff packeging; i like that..

How did I get mis-informed? Everything on that post, is also in the GT2.

Congrats on the new wheel btw.

The CSR goes into detail about "3 Force Feedback motors and smooth belt drive deliver sensational realism" something I do NOT see for the GT2 as well as "# Force Feedback is handled by a Powerful Mabuchi RS550 Motor that's used in RC cars
# Additional 2 Force Feedback actuators in the wheel simulates motor vibrations
# Extra smooth and silent belt drive with minimized mechanical dead zone
# High resolution wheel sensor
# Strong table clamps with a quick release keeps everything in place. Integrated screw inserts allows a fixed or hard mounting solution on a gaming cockpit"

All of these are new from the GT2. So, you do get a nice upgrade in internals with the CSR, BUT, not a fully alcantra wrapped rim. To me, I like the GT2 Rim compared to the CSR. BUT, if the internals are THAT much better, than the CSR is a true night and day difference from the GT2.

So, for $250, you ask me which one, it's a no brainer. CSR as of now. But, I am holding out for the CSW and keep my GT2 for the 360. You get what you pay for.

Thanks. For all you others... ****** Peace out and next time use your two hands, type some stuff on that thing with letters on it then look at the screen ahead of you, then read what it says.

Wow...just wow. :dunce: Did you read past that post? I am guessing not. Please take your own advice, and maybe read up a little bit. You will find you are looking more and more ignorant.

BUT, hampus, it is basically the SAME base for the wheel, justa different rim. I too only took the purchase pages words into consideration. When you actually take a look at the PRODUCT wabpage, it does show that the 2 are basically the SAME wheel outside the rim.

Maybe there were 2-3 differences that are small, but it is basically the same wheel, just with Forza branding. So, choose your rim, that is what the new CSR offers from the GT2. Again, I personally like the Alcantra.

Thanks. It's okay, I will stick to console racing 👍 If I decide to go back, I'll definitely PM you 👍

Ordering the CSR now :D Also ordering the G25 pedal adapter. Although their CSR spec page says the G25 adapter is included, it's not. I emailed support about this yesterday, just an fyi guys.

Yes, but only the CSR, CSR elite PEDALS, and shifters were approved in time. The Elite just made approval, and will be a month or 2 til it sees the "seas" It just started full time production a couple days back according to Thomas' Blog.

my head is spinning from the different sets/wheels/pedals! LOL
http://www.911wheel.de/?q=node/6783
http://www.911wheel.de/?q=node/6175

and the comparison chart shows a CSR Elite and CSW
http://www.911wheel.de/?q=node/6668
UPDATE
Feature comparison
CSW CSR E
Price of base with wheel rim From 599 499,95
Compatibility PC, PS3 Xbox
360, PS3, PC

OK, so IIUC there will be 3 wheels in the Fanatec lineup? The CSR Elite, CSW (both undergoing testing or production) and the CSR (on the water as we speak)?
:dunce:

Cool, your reply was not clear about looking at your iRacing records? Is that a Yea or a Nay?:)

Sent a text to a friend earlier today and he's coming over later tonight to also order up the CSR wheel. (I should be on commmission by now, lol.) Think he's in for a big surprise moving up from a X360 MS Wheel.

Improved clutch feeling like Frex pedals ?

This looks great but it further confuses me. Is this really Clubsport v2? Do we know a price for this and what is the official name? Can anyone fix or fill in the following for me...

Clubsport Pedals $200
Clubsport V2 Pedals ???
CSR Elite Pedals $150
CSR Pedals ???

The naming convention for this new line has caused so much confusion lol.

These are not csp.2 according to thomas. Those are very heavily modded csps from a crazy japanese guy. He has built a pretty BA shifter and a handbrake from a set of csp as well.
The clutch mod is pretty intersting but i havent seen tbe break mod in action yet.
You can find his videos on youtube if you search neogaf.

Ok so same specs. than GT3 (except Xbox compatibility)?

To be more clear there is a file somewhere to compare specs of GT3, GT2 & CSR?

WTH?? how does he press teh Clutch with that second piece of rod there? it will act as a footrest instead of pedal
like the brake mod though

I heard this CSP set was "heavily modded", but it remained pretty vague. Who did what exactly ?

We know about his clutch mod, but what about the black paintjob and that "F" logo added on pedals ? Are these result of some mod ?

Besides, didn't Teki Ei Ichi mentionned something about CSP V2 on his blog while talking about this set ?

Is this hydraulic brake a mod from him as well ?

I need to be enlightened please.

More digging uncovered some revealing pedal photos.

CSR Pedals

02_csrp.jpg

Earlier I speculated that the CSR Pedals looked like they used plastic in most of the construction, but with inlaid metal. These bigger photos seem to confirm that. They do look to use the CSR Elite Pedal-style rack and pinion design for the pots, and that should make them significantly more reliable than the Standard Pedals. The housings for the pots look quite large, and hopefully they're really well secured inside.

CSR Elite Pedals

Note how modular these pedals are. Not just in adjustability, but the way they're pretty self-contained units, like G25/G27 pedals. It looks like it would be relatively trivial to disassemble a CSR Elite pedal unit and inverse mount it in a dedicated rig. The CSR Pedal Inversion Kit is pending too, and it will work with both the CSR and CSR Elite pedals. Based on that compatibility, I'd assume the CSR Pedals will be equally modular.

So now we understand the thought behind making it an "option" for inverting the pedals. It is because both "CSR" and the "CSR Elite Pedals" will be adaptable.

Also like the idea of allowing simple self conversion in a cockpit. Fanatec are demonstrating some proper thinking has went into this range of products. I dont personally think the average console player will notice much difference in the "CSR Elite" Vs "Clubsport Pedals" with the missing wireless sensor technology "Clubsport Pedals" use. If anything the increased accuracy is only working via PC games isnt it?

For me the "CSR Elite" are even nicer looking, what do you guys think?

My friend did order last night (ref 4756) so cant wait to have a go on his.

My info came from a post made by
thomas on his blog.
Not everyone knew about the clutch mod. See the quote in my last post.

The cpv is just a shock, not hydrolic. I thought the same thing

As far as "paintjob". Anodizing can be done very cheap now.
