I just finished GT6 (Platinum Trophies and 100%) so now I can switch to Asseto Corsa. First laps on the ring with the P1 are amazing. Easy to drive, hard to master. thank you GT6 to give me a good visual training on the Ring, it helps a lot :)

I need a rig !

Yeah so far no plans for triples. I am currently using an 8 yr old 120hz lcd tv. I was toying with the idea of getting a new 40" lg 4k, but not sure if my single msi gtx 970 will run it.

Any ideas?

So has there been any news at all about getting the older Fanatec wheels to work on PS4 or XB1?

I have a Turbo S and a CSR Elite and have no desire to buy yet another wheel. An adapter for the XB1 I would consider if reasonably priced.

4k monitors are not really that great for sim racing plus your 970 would not be adequate. I have a MSI 980 and 4K pCARS and AC MURDERS my framerate. Teens to mid 20s.

If you want top of the line the Acer XB270HU is your best bet. 1440p, 144hz, IPS, G-Sync... doesn't get much better than that for sim racing. That being said, to get use out of the full 144hz and 1440p at max settings may require a little more GPU power.

Thanks for the info. Was also thinking of just upgrading to a new 1080p tv as this 8 year old samsung puts out alot of heat.

As far as the clubsport pedals go. I hated the feel of the gas pedal so i took a trip to the hardware store and found the perfect replacement spring also added a bit more pre tension. Gas pedal now has a great feel, way more realistic

IMO VR has eliminated the need for triple screens. Just wait for consumer VR to hit next year. It will be worth it.

yea VR has peaked my interest, the only down side is not being able to see your peripherals while driving lol of course it is something you can get used to from muscle memory but i already have trouble reaching for keyboad buttons while in a race.

i agree, for PC games 1440p is the sweet spot right now and to run 144hz along with it would probably need 2-way sli 970 for games like pCars/AC on high settings.

i personally went with 1080p cause i also play console games on my monitors and was worried about scaling issues with 1440p monitors. i should have went for 144hz but i chose form over function -_- plus the price difference for 144hz is pretty significant jump.

You get used to it.

Monitors are expensive. I am still using my ancient Plasma (Pioneer Kuro... so at least it is aging well). The Oculus is pretty intense and I would not recommend it for anything other than sprint races. Over 2 hours with that on is mentally draining.

Also, for GPU hardware. After seeing Nvidia's latest announcements on Pascal (google it), I would wait for that before making any significant investments. It should be a substantial performance jump.

After three or four years, my CS V2 accelerator pedal starts to make some noise so I disassembled it. Nice construction, I put some grease on every potential noisy part. Then I tried my silent pedals : I did move the magnet used by the Hal sensor. Not that easy to recalibrate it :S

 awesome news!!! GT7 better have fanatec support :grumpy: well for now id only need an Xbone wheel for forza, unless that some how makes it to PC with windows 10

the answer of Thomas ( fanatec's boss ) :

"On PS4 every game needs to integrate special drivers to make a peripheral work. But it is not difficult to implement those drivers. The challenge for us was to develop those drivers. We now gave the drivers to the game developers and you can expect more compatible games in future."

and no need of spécific PS4 wheels like on XB one , every wheels on the Clubsport V base will be work

so , if devellopers want , we can use Fanatec wheels on PS4 easily ( Evolution Studio , please make an effort !!!!)

I just hope Fanatec send those drivers to Polyphony Digital for GT7 .............................. !!!!!!!!!!

Now we know the csw v1 will also work on the xbox one with the appropriate rim, will there be any chances for the csr elite? Maybe even just modded the x1 rim to fit on the elite? May be only one way to find out I guess...

Holy F

but at the same time, some of the comments,:lol::lol:

"You also charge shipping cost, which allmost none other company does"

"Why didn't you say something?? I would have bought them but now you're getting nothing from me. "

"So yes, you have good products, but now you have the most crappy price/quality too."

"This will be a bad move for fanatec. If no one buys there stuff then what's the point? If their price increases? They will loose money"

"Is tis a 1 april Joke ??"

Yeah it's a really crazy price increase Nick

I have moved on from the Fanatec gear, only need the XB1 rim. It looks like it will be pricy.

On the other hand, i still have a couple of Fanatec rims to sell.........

Wow. 🤬

Check out the EU prices at the Fanatec webshop. They have gone through the roof. 30% increase due to the drop of the euro.

€ 699,- for the CSWv2 and € 499,- for the 918 RSR wheel

Makes me wonder how much the new XB1 rim will be.

It is a bit easy. Fanatec is a european company so their prices should be less sensitive to EUR/USD exchange rate than US or Asian firms.... and we can notice that PS4 or Xbox One prices have not increased. Basically, Fanatec is the only company in the video games business that has increased prices this way.

... At least, it is a proof, that when they really want, they avoid delays
