I have my Fanatec about one week now, I have already used for ~15 hours on latest firmware. Plays great on GT Sport (although I hate the rumble effect when you lose traction), but plays AWESOME on Assetto Corsa on PC. Haven't had enough time to experiment with other games (will try Dirt Rally 2.0 tonight) but am very happy so far. Last night, I played some 4x 6-laps of Catalunya and then straight 2x 10-laps de Sent Croix - like 1 hour+ of constant play, no loss of feedback, strong as a rock - hopefully it stays this way in the long term.
I jumped in from the Logitech G25, the difference it significant - to me it was not a 'revelation' but certainly it is heaps better. It always makes me wonder if it's the hardware that makes the difference or the software; I mean, obviously different hardware technology is bound to make some change, but the feedback is dictated by software, right?
@Mike_grpA If anything happened to the wheel, I'd probably fly all the way to Germany and solve this face-to-face! Jokes aside, I wouldn't like to be in your shoes, I did a lot of research before getting the wheel, hopefully I don't encounter any issues. Also, experience says that 'treating a device nice' is not always the best for the device itself, eg HDDs tend to have longer lives when used more and at higher temperatures, PS3s were sensitive to temperature changes rather that constant high temperatures and so on..
To be honest, my entire life I only had minimal issues with anything - including phones, pc hardware, car, etc, and I only just do what 'common sense' dictates, eg use this kind of hardware over voltage regulators, etc
