Hi All need some help I lost the original Fanatec Allen key and M6 screw to attach the wheel to the base. Can I use other m6 screw and allen key? Please help. Thanks!
The size of the original bolt is M6 X 18, if you find the same size bolt you can use it.

The exaggerated vibration effect during understeer is specific to GT Sport.

@DomB_Fanatec this effect is the only put-off in an otherwise perfect experience - and I have read many threads that others have been put off by this jolt. Unfortunately you can’t eliminate it at all without sacrificing other effects.

Since you are in communication with PD, why don’t you suggest that they suppress this feedback effect For Fanatec CSL wheelbases, or even better just replace it with an effect that the wheel goes light.. just like it would supposed to.

Do you think this is feasible? If it would help I could even start a poll with such a request.

Obviously I am not sure what effect you are specifically alluding to, but my guess is that it isnt exclusive to the CSL.

There is such poll.
And this is from Thomas Jackermeier(Fanatec CEO)

I just got my Fanatec CSL wheel about 15 days ago, previous owner of Logitech g25 so I don’t have a say of how it changed since the poll was added but judging by the dates and the fact that the effect is still here then it simply doesn’t get across.

I would say that the Tgt has a specific set of hardware that makes this effect appealing but it should be either made adjustable or removed. As other users have already said its unrealistic and Kunos have nailed it. From what I remember the wheel used to go light on gt5 and 6 on my Logitech wheel, this is a huge step backwards.

It’s a disappointment because everything else feels so nice except this effect. I know Fanatec members are watching these threads so maybe send a kind reminder to PD?

About the part I've bolded, you'd be wrong. It affects T-GT's as well and annoys me too! I totally agree with the next part of that sentence, it should be made adjustable at the very least, or removed.

...or it could simply be a remnant from the controller feedback.. I mean you can’t make a controller ‘go light’ so there had to me some kind of feedback to inform controller users that they are losing traction, but this simply doesn’t work for wheel users.

I am curious if anyone has tried replacing the small foam spring in the CSL Elite LC brake pedal with a spring? I ordered a variety of springs to try out. Resting your foot on the pedal with the soft foam doesn't work so well. It does a good job replicating the feel of a road car pedal but not the best for left foot braking I have found. I do adjust my min brake input to not be until the foam is nearly compressed so it feels more like a real brake pedal, but curious to see how it will feel with a proper spring.

If you are using all the hardest bushings, have you tried using the softest bushing in place of the foam? Its pretty good. I've tried all sorts of combinations but have settled on the hardest bushings with the foam. Seems to give me the most consistent feel and the quickest to achieve 100% braking when needed.

Yeah I'm not after the non-moving brake pedal like many people like that do mostly open wheel cars. I prefer the way the foam allows the initial give like a road car brake pedal. But I feel it could be just a bit stiffer so it better supports resting your left foot on the pedal if needed. I also feel the initial compression of the pedal is a little too soft.

Yeah I think the stiffest bushings with the foam is a good setup, it feels like a well blead road car pedal, very similar to my S2000. Hopefully with one of my springs I will be able to achieve that same feel with stiffer initial compression. I ordered a pretty good variety with different rates and materials.

When the csp v 2's first came out it was standard to upgrade the stock shock for an RC one.
Various spring stiffness and various types of silicone oil for the desired feel.
If you are really keen on modifications I don't see why you couldn't modify the csl brake with an RC shock.

Started a new thread but go no replies for a few days so I thought I’d try my luck here - how can I play using the clutch and h-pattern on a ClubSport shifter connected to the csl elite base?? Help!

If you have Fanatec pedals and shifter both connected to the wheel base, you should be able to assign these inputs to most PC games. On console games, this is often automatically supported. In GT Sport for example, there is no setup, the clutch a H-pattern should just work immediately. If they don't work, you might need a firmware update on the wheel base, wheel, and/or pedals.

Thanks for the reply, however I am on the latest drivers/firmware. It works fine in dirt rally 2.0 and Asseto Corsa on pc, but doesn’t work on GT sport. Can you please verify that it should work out of the box?

I think I mentioned that the gear shows on the wheel screen and the sequential shifter also works...

Yes, it absolutely works on GT Sport, no setup required (beyond having the hardware updated/connected/calibrated correctly, as you would have to do for all games).

Yes.. but, the sequential shifter works! Isn’t that a bit strange? Is there any way to calibrate the clutch in game that I might have missed?

Try to start Gt sport with H-patern mode ''on'' on the shifter.

I have found that if Seq is ''on'' on the shifter and then use it for some time in game then if you set the shifter in H-patern mode it does not work.

Also make sure that your in game car has the stock manual transmition. Almost in all cars that use clutch/shifter as stock , when you upgrade the transmision it works as a sequential (no clutch needed).

Thanks I will try this as soon as I get back home. Currently abroad...

According to Fanatec's discussion and beta tester forum there should be possibility to set FF value up to 150 or more, but i'm unable to do so... I remember CSL PS4 being mentioned aswell; Is it for PC mode/Xbox only or what am i missing?

https://www.fanatec.com/forum/discu...net&utm_campaign=General+Links&a_aid=gtplanet :
"FFB was changed as of Driver V328. The overall FFB setting was too high causing clipping and over saturation on all Wheelbases. FFB on 100 is now 100% FFB power on the Xbox One. You can scale FFB up to 200 if you want the previous feel. I wouldn’t suggest going over 120. Just turn the setting past Auto and you will see higher values."

In AC PS4 i can't get the same FFB strength as with stock setup in GTS; i tried high as 75% in-game with For120, but yet it was far weaker than in GTS. In AC i'd need that extra strength from tuning menu; i believe it'd be better than increasing in-game FFB up to 100%.
(Also it's stronger in Pcars 2)

That is unique to the Xbox One, it is only there because of the previous over-saturation bug on that platform and will likely be phased out in the future.

I just bought the csl elite. Any thread here i can find good ffb settings?
Hey porkchop! Nice wheel bro. I'm thinking of getting it too.

I believe they release a recommended settings doc for each game. Should be on their website.

Which pedal set will you be using?

Nice! Love that rim. I think I'd get that F1 esports rim as well. I'm using the same pedal set with my T300 via Drivehub.
Congratulations on your new set up man!

The load cell may take some testing to get it how you like. I went with all heavy bushings for reduced travel (quicker to 100%) and felt it had more accurate progression through full range. Mixing up the bushings added some inconsistent feeling to it. But some guys mix and match and do really well.
