Thank you for the kind words! I always want to help! - We bulgarians never leave people behind, you can see that in this forum with "super_gt" ! I am more "ISR" user - at least for now!;)

@super_gt

You don't need to tell me, as you boys are from the home of my beloved Rseat N1, a rig that tanks wish they were built like!

...and Supe knows I was a fan of his before it became cool to be a fan of super_gt! :)

 To the Bulgaria Boys, great posters from a great place!

You absolutely did not. I was one of the first on the pre-order list. And it was absolutely made clear by Fanatec that the rotary switches likely wouldn't be supported by any software at launch since it was a new feature. You invent your own reality, please leave all of the rest of us out of it. The only person that took advantage of you is yourself. Your posts on the topic are useless drivel that everyone else was already well aware of. Now you are trying to tell us all how useful and important your complaining is, don't make me laugh..
Put your money where your mouth is and show me where they said that, unless it might take you too long to find it, which was part of my point. I really touched a nerve here. I was willing to let it go but you just have to keep attacking. There is a “special notes” section in the wheel’s advertisement where it would be appropriate to mention the limited support of the switches. All I’m asking is that they put it in there to prevent future disappointments and so people don’t have to search through reams of threads to find it . If it was so obvious show me.

To the people that have the wheel, how are you liking it so far? Is the build quality up to par? How about the feeling of the shifter paddles, are they similar to what fanatec has on the P1 E wheel or are they clicky like TM wheels? Also do the rubber grips feel nice?
The grips are awesome, no issues with skin oil or stickiness. (I’m not quite ready for gloves yet!) The funky switch is robust, which is an improvement over the csl. The carbon finish is amazing, to the touch and the eye, the pictures don’t do it justice. The p and n buttons are appropriately hard to push and you get used to it very quickly. Four very subtle dots in the carbon finish mark where each of the labels should go which is extremely helpful getting them straight on an object with so many beautiful curves. The toggles are a little on the skinny side for big hands but are fine as long as they are durable and the caps stay on. High res display is beautiful. The great features from the csl menu are even better on this one. The build quality of this rim deserves the qr option. The materials are auto grade as advertised and the tolerances on it are crazy tight. Worth every penny. The sqr it comes with is toy like in comparison but a good option for those on a lower budget who can upgrade later.

Don't know whether this has been discussed before, but I downloaded the firmware update v310 and when I plug my wheel in to upload it the firmware doesn't showed up in the window and my wheel won't stop doing its start-up rotation. It just repeats the process over and over again.

Oh...did I mention...:banghead:

EDIT: :banghead: Ya know, fanatec knows I made the order, I am in my account and they have the order number, but I can't go any farther with questions because of their request for the serial numbers. I am at the office and not near my wheel.

It was mentioned several times now, even a FAQ article was written because of this, see here:

https://www.fanatec.com/eu-de/suppo...net&utm_campaign=General+Links&a_aid=gtplanet

You can read everything you need to update your firmware correctly (and there is even a tutorial video).
Most important step is to update the base firmware WITHOUT the McLaren attached! Only after the Base updates to the newest firmware you can attach your McLaren to the Base to also update the firmware of the McLaren.

Thank you, Simracer.

EDIT: Now I just need the translation.

EDIT 2: believe I got it now. Will read through. Thank you, Again.

Watch simracingirls vid if u havent already. Its a two step process if I remember correctly one for base and another for wheel. 310 isnt in my display either but it works fine. Hope this helps.

Stupid me, T-Dubs, because I watched the video when it first came out, long before I got my wheel.

Lesson learned: ALWAYS DO EXPEDITED SHIPPING!

I just pre ordered my wheel :) glad I got another chance to get my hands on this rim for a great price! Can't wait for June :)

I haven't even updated the firmware yet, but even just holding it there on my wheel base (which I did too early based upon the above posts!), man...it just feels like it should have always been there. It just feels so right.

View attachment 732965 PS4 Map. The only one in existence..

TW, everything is great with the wheel, but only slightly annoyed: on the PS4 the Xbox button doesn't take my back to my main menu screen on my PS4 like hitting th Xbox button on the universal hub. I actually couldn't find any button then got me back and had to shut it.

Am I missing something? Btw, I use the drive hub, and the wheel is in PC mode.

I also noticed it has no PS button assigned. I have a second controller I sometimes use for chat while racing and just used it to exit the game.

I sent a request to the Driver Hub crew to see if they could map it all. I haven’t received a response yet, so I’m not sure if it’s something they can or will do.

Thanks, KD, at least I know it's not me. Please let us know if COllective Minds let's you know a work around. Otherwise, I'll probably get a second controller in a few days.

I sent a message to them too, and they said they can look into it, but they said they weren't aware of an issue, being a new wheel and all. Not sure if they have one or not, to be able to look into it right away.

I noticed if I put my wheel into Xbox mode, the light next to the Xbox button turns on. When you put it into PC mode, that light shuts off. So I'm assuming the button is only active when in Xbox mode, and disables itself in PC mode. Which we have to run in, if we want to use this on a PS4 using DriveHub.

We breath the same air, Brother!

Please, K1LLD0z3R, will you tell me specifically which casters those are on your rig? I am using M6 caster, 1-1/2" I believe, and didn't think I could get screw on casters the size you have on your RS1.

...oh, and don't forget "Drive Hub Supporters".

Edit: ah, looking closer at your impressive photos I see what you did. You drilled new holes for bigger/pass through wheels. Interesting. Further deeds on what you did and how that went would be greatly appreciated.

My wheels have been fine, but do leave divots in the carpet (when using it and not in storage in the X create area of our basement) so I also then put them on furniture movers. I have to move the rig slightly off to the side for family tv viewing in the basement. To that end I contemplated just getting flat dolleys at Home Depot, but still, I lot,of,work to routinely get them under there.

Edit 2: I have VR wands still in the box. Hopefully they should work.

For the light next to the Xbox button - believe this is,because the button itself don`t have a light on it. Microsoft have this rule - Xbox button on Xbox one to glow- maybe to be seen easier in the dark and to know that this is Xbox main button.

The “N” button is share, the “P” button is options, and far lower right button is the ps or playstation button. The default csl menu in gts has the full map too, it just doesn’t translate well. Taking a picture of the gts menu screen might also be very helpful getting started. Sorry I left those unlabeled!

@Krassi and @BuckFly I wanted larger wheels and the 8mm inserts were not large enough. So yes I drilled a 7/16” hole through the tubes, that allowed for a 7/16” stem 4” wheel caster. It is much easier to move around now and still very stable.
