Only Sony can tell us that and they might not even have made that decision yet. We know the PS5 is going to be backwards compatible with PS4 games and the PSVR for example but it would be a total guess for third party peripherals. So with this new PS5 info I'm kind of second guessing not getting the PS4 DD, even though it's not confirmed to be supported. I know it's all speculation but do we think it's possible that Sony would support all models, or if anything it would just be the PS4? With Sony going into VR more, and seeing what they were able to do with such weak hardware with GT sport makes me curious about the future hardware and games which should be a massive step forward.
Yes, I am.Anyone else super hyped for the Oculus Rift S, Oculus Quest and the Valve index?
Yes that was me. They said:On the Fanatec blog someone said they received an email reply from Fanatec today saying the DD 1 & 2's would ship on 30 April.

Valve index is the main one I’m keeping my eye on, but I’m also looking at both oculus HMDsYes, I am.
Didn't realise this existed. Recommended settings for a load of racing games for all Fanatec wheels. A great resource.

The display on most rims only has a 3 digit display so 108 on the display is actually 1080 degrees of rotation.Neither did I, I was thinking of starting a thread for DD Settings soon but doesn’t seem like I need to, neat.
Odd that some of them recommend 108 on Sensitivity which is normally rotation and 900 on ClubSport bases, strange, is Sensitivity working differently on the DD bases or is that a mistake, can’t be 108 degrees of rotation.
This is my concern,Will it be upgradeable to the PS5 cause at $2669 au (ships in July) I'm not prepared to take a risk until it's confirmed. So with this new PS5 info I'm kind of second guessing not getting the PS4 DD, even though it's not confirmed to be supported. You won’t get any conformation until the PS5 is released, it will be up to Sony to decide if it will be compatible or not. So it will be at least 18 months before you will find out. This is my concern,Will it be upgradeable to the PS5 cause at $2669 au (ships in July) I'm not prepared to take a risk until it's confirmed.

The failure rate they had which made them delay the bases was comparatively very small so I'm hoping that's a good sign that QA has been taken very seriously and I expect to see a very low failure rate.Should we start taking bets on how many Fanatec DD wheels will break on the first year?
Since it seems Fanatec still ask you to make a stupid video and send it to them in order to even start helping you many people upload them to YouTube so we will see them too.
I really hope mine is defect free I don't like dealing with their customer service.
My bet would be under 20
This is not true.Since it seems Fanatec still ask you to make a stupid video and send it to them in order to even start helping you

This is not true.
To clarify, we do not insist on a video, but we strongly recommend it due to the number of units we receive with either no fault or a fault that could have been resolved if a video had been provided. Customers can send us units to check with no provided evidence of a fault, but if no fault is found, we are unable to refund their shipping costs. A video is a useful step in the process to avoid this situation. Was when my McLaren rim had shifter failure about 6 months ago.
The settings are directly from us, I worked directly with the R&D team on this. I've divided the settings by game, wheel base, and platform. The settings are 'safe' baselines, but are more 'tuned' and more suited to the experienced sim racer than simply using the base on its out-of-the-box default Tuning Menu settings (and indeed default in-game settings in most games), which are more conservative. For example, the Natural Damper default is 50, but our recommendation for most games and platforms have this at a lower value. Are the recommended settings uploaded by Fanatec staff or by users? I assume they apply to all DD wheels. Should we first try to play the game on baseline settings or should we immediately change to these recommended settings?

Thanks a lot for settings! It will be my first DD experience and I want to feel it "as was designed" by developer. My parcel is on the way alreadyThe settings are directly from us
I do not see how your reply is related to his answer. You have to remember the customer is always right, if someone sends something in for repairs is your job to fix it if at all costs and if for some reason the technician can’t figure it out then replace it with another either new or refurbished that you know works.
At least that’s the way it is in the USA in all types of stores even in restaurants
Ps I’m not negative or mad just giving my opinion
This means that the product works as intended without any malfunction.but if no fault is found
I agree. A video can often solve an ID 10 T fault!I do not see how your reply is related to his answer.

And moreover, over the last two months, I have seen two people who are not entirely happy with the CSL Elite wheel bases(without the wheel having any defect) to be replaced by CSW Base V2.5 just to please the customer.
