You have to remember the customer is always right, if someone sends something in for repairs is your job to fix it if at all costs and if for some reason the technician can’t figure it out then replace it with another either new or refurbished that you know works.

At least that’s the way it is in the USA in all types of stores even in restaurants

Ps I’m not negative or mad just giving my opinion

no there not. some customers are entitled assholes and not worth the trouble

Just a question to the PS4 players like @tunaphis who are concerned about future compatibility - why not just take the plunge and buy a gaming PC? At first I was intimidated by making the leap but I'm so happy that I did ... you have access to the best racing simulations like iRacing, you get compatibility with ultrawide monitors, triple screens, etc, and you're not subject to get "compatibility anxiety."

I am completely sensitive to people who are on a budget but if you're dropping $ 1000-1500 on a DD wheel I feel like getting a gaming PC should be within reach.

With me it's a lack of space issue. I live in a one bedroom apartment and I don't have the room. I barely have room for my portable wheel stand. At the end of May I'm moving into a slightly smaller apartment where the television has to be centered in the living room and I'm going to have to slide the wheel rig out of the way each time I'm finished with it. So space is going to be more critical.

One of my co-workers has constantly been on me to get a PC and go VR and if I had the spare room I might consider it. But right now it's not an option.

Finally got the email

Cheers, I have a Alienware 15 that I bought when Dirt Rally released but like the simplicity of Playstation,It plays in 4k,has a good controller, disc player and rarely malfunctions unlike pc based gaming for the grand price of $500 compared to $2300 for the pc. I could get a OSW and run 3rd party software but atm the Podium does both hence it's appeal.
The Podium is $2700au and will be available in July in Australia. Will just wait and see what happens I suppose.

Has anyone found some good hands on impressions so far? All the comments that I've seen so far are disappointingly vague, though I do understand that they'd rather go drive with it than spend time writing about it. :D Also are all the shipping notifications just the PS4 version? I've been checking fedex and don't have any notification yet (DD1 in US).

I have a PC but I work from home. The wheel gets in the way while working and I'm too lazy to constantly move stuff around.
Now I bought a gaming laptop that I might plug to my TV on occasion.
PS4 is just quicker to use for a light evening drive :D

Thanks guys. One guy in the EU has received text from UPS to say he has a package on it's way but nothing from Fanatec yet.
Well this was a false alarm. Armin over on the Fanatec blog posted to deny this was the case and asked the member who had said it to 'stop fooling people'.

I got my DD1 Podium Racing Wheel and wheelbase a few days ago. I only use it on PC. Its an absolutely Drive changer. Best thing I bought so far besides my Heusinkveld Pedals and my other steering wheels. Of course the wheelbase can offer a lot more torque and I love to use it:) Because its a direct drive wheelbase it comes a lot more information through your steering wheel and this informations comes so quick that you can quicker react to it and that makes your driving better and more consistent. The wheelbase is extremly smooth and quiet. I recommend it to anybody who wanna have more the feeling of a real car when he doing simracing. Because you havent a belt driven wheel all information you got are far more accurate:)

Same thing just received a FedEx notification from "Suddath Global Logistics" for a 33 lb package... I assume it's the DD1 but who knows.... not expecting any other 33 lb packages. :)

Actually I just confirmed on the Fanatec webpage it's definitely my DD1... arriving on Wednesday. Can't wait.

I should also mention, this will be my first Fanatec wheel/base. I only do sim racing on my PC, so I dont need xbox/ps4 compatibility, and I figured having a back up wheel for free would be smart.

I currently use a T300 with Ferrari f1 rim, and CSP V3 pedals.

ClubSport Steering Wheel F1® 2019,officially licensed by Formula1™!

Simply log in to your Fanatec account, and you will see the new wheel listed in the Steering Wheels section of the Products menu.

You will have special access to this product page between April 24th and April 26th. After this, the page will be visible to all customers, after which we can’t guarantee that you will secure a unit. Last year, our F1® 2018 wheel sold out in a matter of hours (2018 units) and we are producing one more unit this year for a total of 2019 units, so grab it while you can!

Please note: The webshop voucher which we provided after the delay announcement (which can be used for any product) expires on December 7th 2019. If you have already used your voucher, you can still purchase this limited edition F1® 2019 wheel.

Stunning silver finish!
clip_image001.png

We’ve retained the shape of last year’s limited edition model with the cutaway grips, 5mm carbon fibre front plate, and given it a bold new lick of paint. Silver is the theme for this year; the carbon fibre now has silver weave, and many of the accents are coloured silver, including the entire rear metal housing.

Leather grips!
clip_image001.png

Perhaps the most significant change is the genuine smooth leather grips, appearing for the first time on a Fanatec Formula wheel. This material is very durable, offering good grip (particularly with bare hands), while remaining highly comfortable over long races.

New coloured button caps!
clip_image001.png

We’re also including an extra set of button caps in the box (in addition to the standard ‘racing’ caps). The new caps are unmarked (without symbols), and come in various colours. There’s a vast number of possibilities in terms of adding a splash of colour to the front of the wheel.

clip_image001.png

Loaded with tech!

We’ve packed the F1® 2019 wheel with the same advanced technology as the F1® 2018 wheel, including multi-colour RevLEDs, FlagLEDs, an OLED display, and a huge number of inputs: thumb encoders, 12-way multi-position switches, rocker switches… the list goes on. Of course, the F1® 2019 is ready for a major upgrade: the Podium Advanced Paddle Module. Add magnetic shifters and analog clutch paddles for a truly authentic feeling at your fingertips.

But wait… there’s more!
clip_image001.png

For just 1 EUR / 1 USD you can also add the latest official Formula 1™ game from Codemasters, F1® 2019, to your basket! You’ll find the option to add the game (on the platform of your choice: PC or PS4*) in your shopping cart, and you will receive the game key when it launches on June 28th, within one week.

In fact, all customers are eligible for this game deal (while stocks last) when they place an order for any Fanatec steering wheel from our webshop, so tell your friends!
