I ordered the wheel stand in EU 17/12-2010, my status has changed to delivered but I havent received any email about shipping. Poor me! :(

I wouldn't worry, mine changed to delivered this morning and I have not received the shipping email either. Will no doubt arrive today/tomorrow.

Little update:

Turned some serious laps on the RSWSv2 last night, and did the "shake and tighten" technique that was suggested earlier in the thread by dwogs, got the knob to make one more turn, and got rid of the forward/back play in the neck, so pretty happy about that.

The more I use this thing, the more I'm liking it. 👍

Hello
I'm from Spain. I made the order on 6/12/2010. Now it makes me delivered. But I have not received any mail from UPS.
How long you took the mail from UPS?

Thanks

Yes, that's how I tighten mine and the only fore-aft movement is due more to flex than any actual slop in the locking mechanism. It's pretty solid.

Question: What is the knob like on the v2 stands? Is it just a large, threaded bolt, or is the end a conical point that just mechanically presses into the hole in the base to keep everything tight? Mine is the conical point design.

got mine last week. after missing with it over the weekend I'd have to say it's a nice piece of kit.
only complaints:
1. not a fan of having a bar between my legs (minor inconvenience of design shared by almost every competitor so moot).
2. I hate the knob mechanism for holding the center post; it just doesn't work well at all.
Going to have to make some reference marks so I can tell when the holes are lined up since fiddling with it until it's actually where it needs to be to hold the thing up @ 90° is an irritating 10 minute exercise.
Then the only issue with the mechanism will be having to crank the thing down so hard that your hand slips off and bashes your knuckles on the textured steel post.

I've got four hours of play on the stand thus far, and am please with my purchase. The only complaint I have is that the 90/110 degree selection and tightening process sucks. It is a pain to find the hole, and the rock, tighten, rock, tighten and repeat process is laborious. Once it is locked is place, it is rock solid and I love it. I do wish the wheel platform was bigger, and had some "table space" of sorts for remotes and a cup holder. I don't have an issue with the bar between my legs, as I use two feet, and don't even notice it is there. I'd gladly buy one again, if they were in stock.

Little update here...

Having spent my first week with the RSWSv2 w/G27, I will say I really like it. At first things were a little awkward, but my seating position has evolved a little bit, and the stand itself seems more solid than when I started. There is some room for improvement however...

Right now my list of improvements would be:

* More counterweight at the end of the base, so it won't be so tippy when you slide your pedals towards the wheel. I've had a couple times I've had the wheel do the "lean" on me.

* Better shifter mounting position - it works where it is, but I'd prefer it lower and forward.

* Better angling solution. Why is that knob so finicky about going all the way in? Did it have to have that extra, empty hole there? And more angles would have been really nice.

Still, all in all, nothing insurmountable, and I'm even contemplating buying a second one for multiplayer sessions.

I just goy it a couple days ago and I seem to have a little issue with the assembly, will post some pictures later if possible. May I just ask what the difference between the left hole and right hole is? As in why is the right one for 90 degrees and left for 110 degrees

There are holes in different spots on the base. The 90 hole is on one side, the 110 on the other.

there's two holes on each side of the base pipe; so that you can't put it together backward.

I definitely prefer the smooth black paint on mine than the rough frosted V2. I stupidly removed the velcro from mine because I ordered the pedal stopper on January23rd along with the clubsport paddle shifters and assumed it would be here by now. Now my Clubsport pedals are sliding around! C`mon Thomas ship my stuff out ....

Bringing up an old thread, but I just gotta say, between this and the wheelstand pro, it really makes me angry, because neither of them offer a realistic shifter position. I really like the look of the rennsport and the wheelstand pro but I have to have the shifter at hip level! I can't have it next to the wheel that is completely unrealistic. Is it really that difficult to make some sort of adapter for that purpose???

It would likely be an awkward stem coming off of the middle post or wheel shelf. I remember years ago my dad fabricated clamps that attached to his office chair. He used them as HOTAS mounts, but the same idea could apply to a shifter.

I know this is an ANCIENT thread resurrect... BUT I actually just set up my CSR Elite on my Rennsport Wheel Stand and the legs are loose. Does anyone know what size the big @$$ allen key that came with the RWS to attach the legs is? I know I have it someplace but I can't find it.

Even more ancient answer - 10mm
