My brother-in-law (my sister's husband): Infiniti G35 Sedan - 260hp
I suppose I'm next: GS300 - 210hp
My father-in-law: Chevy Impala 3.8L - 200hp
My sister: Mazda MPV - 200hp
My brother: PT Cruiser - 150hp
My wife: Honda CR-V - 146hp
My mom: Toyota RAV4 - 130hp
My dad: Honda Civic sedan - 125hp ?
My mother-in-law: Ford Contour - 125hp ?
My brother in-law (wife's brother): Honda Civic coupe - 125hp ?
My brother in-law (wife's younger brother): Honda Civic sedan hybrid - 85hp

I could be here all day listing the family's cars. Not really a bunch of motorheads, except my dad, who's traded in his nicer cars for motorcycles, for some reason.

My cousin: 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
My other cousin: 2003 Nissan 350Z (mod: Toyo T1, Nitrous)
My dad: 2001 Infiniti I30T

Me: 2005 Focus ZX5
Me: 2004 Focus sedan
Mom: 1996 Maxima GLE
Dad: 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Brother #1: 2004 Jeep Liberty
Brother #2: 1988 Ford F250 XLT Lariat
Brother #3: 1990 Chevy Camaro 305 TBI (my old one)
Brother #3: 1985 Toyota MR2

So I'd have to say probably my ZX5 Focus wins as I've driven everything on that list.

M5Power
Not if the Maxima has been kept up at all...

It's in perfect shape, I have to maintain it myself since my mother does not. :) But for some reason her '96 GLE isn't as fast as my '95 SE I had (R.I.P.)...both are/were stock--my Focus seems faster in more of the RPM range versus her '96 GLE. But, perception isn't always reality...I'm fairly certain my '95 SE was faster than my Focus. I don't know, maybe I should get my Mom to race me--haha! :sly:

Extended Family?

My Uncle's Jaguar XJR, no contest. He consulted me when buying it, as he was trying to decide between a Merc, a Bimmer and this car, but it was no contest. This thing looks terrific, and when the oil wells dry up, it'll make a great museum piece (all-aluminum, careful driving... it'll never lose its shape).

Cousin's Honda SiR: faster than my car in a straight line

My Family:
slowest- Mom: Isuzu Crosswind (Asian Utility Vehicle): 2.5 Di - 83hp...
work vehicle: Mitsubishi truck: 2.0 D - 70hp
Brother: Mazda 626 2.0 - 130hp (taken it up to 200 km/h, though)
fastest- Mine: Mazda/Ford Protege/Lynx - 142hp - no great shakes on the highway (210 km/h), but I have raced Bimmers up mountains.

Me : '97 Talon TSi
Me : '03 Rubicon
Fiance : '03 Denali
Fiance : '04 Cooper S
Fiance : '92 Miata
Both : '05 Ducati Monster S4R

So, if we're talking fastest "CAR" then its surely my Talon. But, if we're just talking fastest vehicle, I'm sure the Monster would keep up fairly well. I have no idea what it runs at the track, but its damn fast. Most fun is easilly the Coop though. Parents were shopping for a Z Roadster a while back, but no clue if they got it. Even if, those aren't that fast, so no biggie.

My moms stock z3 3.0i right now. But my Impala SS will give it a run for it's money when I pick it up tomorrow.
z3=225hp
SS=270hp(stock) 330ft/lbs
The z3 is bone stock but the Impala has a few mods. Of course the Impala has a couple thousand pounds to make up for.
The other cars in the family are a 2000 Civic DX hatchback and a 2003 Toyota Echo, so there really isn't much other competition.

My step-bro's - Exige 240R - 255bhp per ton
My dad's - 64' Lotus Cortina - 262bhp per ton

The Exige runs on almost-slick soft trackday style rubber...
The Cortina runs on skinny 60's style treaded crossply's - in a straight line it would be close, corners would be a different matter!

My dad's- Opel Corsa. 60-ish hp.

My grandmother's- Opel Kadett. Maybe even over 80 hp.

So....my grandmother's car is probably the fastest...

:(

Probably my dads GMC. But my grandpa sponsers a guy for modified racing. I also think the engine is my grandpas as well, so teh modified is the fastest.

I guess it would be my 330i ZHP... which isn't all that quick by any stretch of the imagination.

But still quicker than...

My wife's Nissan Murano SL
My dad's Volvo XC-90 T5 AWD
My mom's Merc E320
My sister's Metro pass (she lives in downtown Washington DC.. no need for a car)
My sister in law's Honda Odessey EX
My father in law's Ford F-150 AND his Mazda Miata
My mother in law's Buick LaSabre.. though she used to have a Northstar Caddy that had pretty good top end.

I'm the only on in my family who is a car nut :indiff:

M

My dads AC Cobra 427 replica kit.
Rover V8 supercharged 350bhp, 300 ft pounds of torque, on an 800 kg car makes it pretty nippy.
He's had it for about 15 years. He's trying to sell it though so he can concentrate on his Peugeot partner........tit.
He just also sold his Nissan 300ZX TT, nothing special apart from some sports exhaust that he had put on.

I'm afraid to admit that it's probably a Passat. A new one mind.

We have a Freelander, which can just about out run a dairy animal, my sister and her hubby have a Ka and an old Mondeo, but are getting a 90hp Astra, my other familly's cars include:

Seat alhambra
Landrover Discovery
Nissan Primastar (Rennault traffic/vauxhall vivaro)
Citroen Picasso
Citroen Xantia
Mercedes V-class (diesel)
VW Transporter
Hyundai Sonata
Another Mondeo

That's all my bro's and sisters, these are my neice/nephews'

VW Passat (maybe the fastest)
Vauxhall Corsa
Ford Galaxy
Citroen Xsara
Honda Civic (new one, but not a type r)
Honda Element (they live in the u.s)
Seat Ibiza
Kia Rio (:()

My uncles' and aunts'

Rover 25
Saab 9-5
VW Golf Mk4

Other people related to us somehow

Toyota Corolla
VW Camper (and another, and another, and another ...)
Vauxhall Astra (2 gens ago)
Morris Minor (:()

Familly Friends:

Fiat Punto

Tadaaa

The fastest is probably either the Passat or the Civic. Funilly enough, the people that own them are bro and sister.

I think my mom will be getting a Infiniti G35 Coupe soon so that might be faster then our current roush mustang.

Me: 1999 Mercury Sable- 145 HP

Grandfather: 1997 Ford Exploder- 205 HP

Other grandfather: 2005 GMC Canyon- 220 HP
2003 GMC Sonoma- 120 HP

Cousin: 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport- 210 HP

Dad: 2001 Daewoo Lanos- 105 HP

Fastest Straight Line Accel: tie between Canyon and Liberty
Slowest: tie between the Sonoma and the Lanos

Fastest Cornering: Lanos
Slowest Cornering: tie between Exploder, Canyon, and Sonoma

;)

The fastest car currently is probably the Excursion.
The slowest is either my son's Geo Metro or my Ford Ranger.
The Ranger might do 80 downhill, with a tail wind.
Thankfully, it handles well.
My wife's Camry is no slouch, contrary to popular belief.

Uhh since we only has one car, then the 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan ES AWD (it DOES have the 3.8L engine) will be the fastest one in my immediate family.

If I count my extended family, then my uncle with a Mercedes Benz E320 probably has the fastest car.

Damn my family drives slow cars.

You make your son drive a metro :indiff:

The fastest is my dad's... it's red... :sly:

My car goes 0 mph so far as it doesn't have an engine. Or wheels. Heck, not even a chassis! :dunce:

I gotta say the S80 is pretty fast! Not as fast as the 996 of course, but still pretty fast! So it's third, behind the 996... which hopefully will cease to have mufflers in about 6 months if I have my way

I don't even know who's got the fastest car in my family... I've got kind of a big family.. hehe. A couple of my cousins probably have decently quick cars... they're old enough to buy a nice car, but young enough to want one that's fast.. hehe.

It sure as hell ain't me, that's for sure... note my sig. :) The stats on my Tempo just says "0-60: Yes".

Hopefully, by this time next year, I'll be the one in my family with the fastest car. :)

I think my grand daddy could give you a run with his car which is blue though, but Italian. :sly:

my dad's got a rover 220 coupe turbo.16v twin cam. Very nice car. Got the old honda VTEC engine in it.hits 0-60mph in jus under 6 secs.and its a rover!also got a new astra 1.6 sport thingy.got alot of go for a 1.6.
My grandad has a ferrari (pretty old model.1980's) cant remember the model though....

My uncle has a Plymouth Prowler, so that'd be the fastest. Apparently hes a wizz at historic car racing!

No it won't. ~200bhp in a front wheel drive car? You're looking at mid to low 7s. Maybe a high 6 if you're lucky.

Surely if your grandad had a Ferrari, you would know what it was.
