*Stifled laughter*daanIs a "road angle" some kind of corner?
because i think pav asked me to.. i'll fix it lolSageWhy in god's name did you take the information you made in one post and then re-distribute it among three? (Yes, I saw your original first post.)
FamineI doubt it. I've just calculated precisely how much power you'd require to do 155mph in a Peugeot 306, and given you some benefit of the doubt as regards kerb weight.
I'll give you the formula, after you've proven yourself wrong.
Pavok so you no what tyres i have how much hevey the car is what im losing throw the gear box and everything i dont think so i think you might have a ruf idea but noting on pager well work it out...
Pavwell i have read when other ppl put the same eng. in that and get 220bhp and my mate with a 2.1 rs turbo is about on par with mine and he gets 220bhp at the wheels, so lets was it has the same (WTF?) so what does your magic bhp calculater say i can get????
FamineDifferent aerodynamics requires a different calculation - and if you think a Skyline (GT-R, one assumes) has 280hp you're sorely mistaken.
Edit: That calculation says that to do 160mph an R33 GT-R needs 250hp @ wheels. To do 170mph it needs 297hp @ wheels. Thus 160mph is possible, 170mph isn't without alteration - which, handily, isn't too hard.
Takumi FujiwaraWell, hang on, don't they make closer to 320-330 at the crank, and are just underrated? That could explain it.
FamineNowhere near enough - and the R33 was unofficially officially tested at 308hp at crank.
Pav - No offence, but the number of times I've seen illiterates claiming to be dyslexic is astonishing. Considering my familiarity with Special Educational Needs, and that use of IT (personal wordprocessors) is the primary method of dealing with dyslexia, I don't believe you.
But this is off-topic. You're English. Many people here aren't. TRY to communicate in proper English.
I'll calculate your estimated top speed a little later on and edit it in.
skicrushI did 120 in my 1989 Mazda MX-6 GT. At 144,000 miles. Maybe that's why the timing belt broke three days later.
And not my car, but I've driven 130 and been co-pilot to 150. MPH in a 1992 Corvette.
FamineActually, I'd like three final pieces of information from you, just to clinch it.
At what rpm is your peak power reached? Associated with that, what is your redline.
Have you ever had it rolling roaded in near current form? If not, are you going on the 220 crank power figure simply because it's close to your mate's?
Aaaaand finally, what gearbox do you have, and what size wheel/tyre combination?
MachOneThe fastest I have ever been in in a car was 142 MPH in my uncles Dual Turbo'd Toyota Supra (fast as all hell). We were of course on a literally almost deserted highway with nobody else around.I can still hear the BOV and it's sexy "pshhhhhh" sound as we shifted gears.
