Favorite Manufacturer

I'm partial to Toyota and Dodge myself. Both offer surprizingly nimble trucks, which attract me like flies to a picnic, and yet they also have some landrockets laying around. I love my Dodge Charger and it's incredibly easy burnouts(braketorquing in third, anybody?), and the Tacoma is a blistering ride to pit against my Ram on the 'Ring. I've managed to get both trucks below 8 mins there. I'm also fond of Nissan, their cars never disapointing in the handling department. The skylines are simply rockets, they acually handle too good for me to drive them! I have one that B-spec Bob has stomped all over full-blown race rides at the 24-hour 'Ring enduro, breaking into high 6 minute lap times mid-race, and still three others for drifting and dragging. They will still handle like mad, but that's what setups B and C are for. I just wish Dodges didnt eat their rear tires, but all of mine do.

Nissan.

Throughout my childhood, my parents had Nissans and i still have a soft spot for them. There are so many good Nissans in this game, especially Skylines. I am new to GT4 and have just 30 cars, but 7 of them are Skylines. :)

NISSAN all the way. I love the R89CP and the Skylines are the center of my garage. The Silvias make a nice decorative addition. The Z's are just wonderfull. And all of those tuner and touring and racing cars just make me want to go on forever...but i wont.

BLITZ

Its gotta be nissan, there isnt ONE car of theirs that I hate, or even extremely dislike, only the VERY neewest sentra picks at my, bones, ask me any of the others, and I love them,
Nissan always has very visible reverse lights, killer rims stock, the always are a little sproty, and they manufacture all of the S chassis cars, silvia, 240sx, and oh man, those Z look sick, and can back it up!
EDIT!!!
cant forget the GT-R they were the most affordable super-ish cars, and they are friggen engineering!
Nissan is rumored to have sold skylines at a loss for a long time, and ended up making a world renowned car, that everyone wouldn't mind having.
uh BLlTZ, silyias?!

1 - Lotus ( Motor Sport Elise - hmmmm )
2 - Dodge ( Viper GTS - sexiest car ever )
3 - BMW ( ultimate driving machine - duh )

I'm a ring lover - I hate driving any asian cars on the ring... it feels wrong ( i'm not just talking emotionally but they feel off even when tuned ). the Elise, Viper GTS, and M3 feel so at home on the long/short/tight curves and just as much on the straightaways.

well first of all let me seay good thread 👍
Someone ought to make a poll though 💡

Anyway....

The best manufacturers are clearly Japenese and German. Simply because of the engineering. You cannot beat the accuracy. These cars are fast, controllable and most of them like gorgeous.

But to answer your question I’d have:
Nissan and Toyota - because of the C-class cars and the brilliant drifting cars:drool:
Audi - because i love all the models, especially the tt touring dmt car -WOW:drool:

....And now for the worst country for manufacturing cars (in my opinion):
French cars
Man i hate them, they are ugly, bad to control, and unreliable. :dunce:
If i'm gonna buy a car i want a reliable car that’s good!

There’s only one good French manufacturer in the game i think and thats the pescarolo simply because bob likes it in enduros  :sly:

Sadly, I only want a boy to be named Miles...
Ah, named after Peugeot/Citroen - or at least for the distance you have to walk after the damn thing's broken down or caught alight again.

Cheap Shots... 👎

I love the German market now, mainly because of RUF. I set a RUF CTR2 to be able to drive great! It can beat a LM Race Car around the 'Ring. But I must say that they RUINED the RUF RGT in GT4, compared to GT3. :grumpy:

Good Idea. 👍

no problemo!
I gotta agree, the viper is very good looking, but IMHO the RUFs look better, Thre is nothing of Nissan's that you can compare to the viper though.
*EDIT*
there is nothing close in price range that looks anything like the viper...

In looks or performance?

As French manufacturers of the matronly MR conversions, I'd favour Renault (for the R5, Clio Sport), then Peugeot (for the 205 Turbo).

Taking tin cans and turning them into interesting rides. At least you could buy them and drive them, but we're not likely to see another similar car for a very long time.

Cheers,

MasterGT

For me? heres my faves

England: Lotus, 3 words, Motor Sport Elise! 👍
Aisa: Mitsubishi, how can you not love the EVO and CZ-3?
America: i dont really like american cars, but... Ford for the Mustang!
Europe: LANCIA! The delta, its ace for tuning, it may not be that fast but, once you tune it up, it can beat anything! the stratos, the mini-supercar, yet its also a rally car? How amazing! 1 wish, Bring out more lancias in GT5!

So overall Lancia!
Delta: It won the world championship race when it was made, it looks so clean and crisp, it can be fast, it can be manouverable, and boy it is fun to drive!
Stratos: It looks ace, supercar meets rallycar! it looks even better as a rally car IMO. and it can be tuned to perfection!
Rallying: Lancia is a Rally car mnufacturer! the S4 to the stratos, noone can say they are rubbish rally cars! So congrats lancia!

:dunce:

Toyota. For the MR2... and the Celica GT-Four. All generations.

Just because they are the awesomest of awesomeness ever to be awesome. /end fanboy mode

Just alot of variety there in Toyota I think between their various models. You get everything from subcompact FF fun to 500 HP RWD glory. Just options galore.

Don't forget the hachi roku!

I don't really have a favorite manufacturer. I'm an open person regarding cars I choose. I often think about buying certain cars in the game to modify and go racing with. I certainly have my favorite cars. Take the late model Renault RenaultSport Clio in GT4, for example. I've been wanting to continue working on my Honda Odyssey and Honda Element. May even make the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner a bit better. I'm thinking about racing my Toyota 2000GT in the "1,000 Miles!" The F-Body Camaro Z28 Coupe got me into cars, but the Camaro I mostly use is a Burgundy Metallic 1969 Camaro SS. I'm very open and don't have a favorite company I follow. I liked the Toyota 88C-V (commonly known as the Minolta) until I got the Nissan R92CP. I consider the Pescarolo Sport 2004 race car as my weapon in the big league racing series.

If I had to choose some favorites that I'm fond using in races, it's an all-Japanese favorites list for me (in no order): Honda, Toyota, and even Mitsubishi. But other than that, I have no TRUE favorite manufacturer.

TVR all the way, of course if i didnt have the PAL version i would say the proper mini (not that oversized german thing :yuck:) and the mini marcos doesnt quite match up to the standard mini for coolness :P

I like both the vintage and BMW's Mini. Regardless of who makes the newer Mini, it still remains the very compact machine that can still turn heads and provide a great drive. I even have a Mini in GT4 in my 90-something car garage. It would have been cooler if both the vintage and new Minis were in the same game.

Nissan. All the way. First it was Toyota , because of the Supra. Before Toyota I loved the Skyline , but Nissan just didn't make it. But then Nissan dit make it. Mostly becasue my friend has a ( real ) fully turbo'd Nissan NX2000 ( or 100NX in Europe ).
