Bump, because the Datsun 240z and Corvette Stingray's RM is really off the chain. These RM's matches the sound so perfect, and looks picture perfect, what has PD been thinking after GT2...:ouch:

Well, the Datsun seems a tad garish in yellow, but it is good-looking otherwise. They were real racing paint schemes for the cars, the Datsun's being from its race at Daytona (forget the year), and the Corvette's was actually the 1963 racing modification for the original Grand Sport cars. I wrote a bit on the scheme in the "Rate A Car" thread, there is more information there.

The aero kits and spoiler on the stock Datsun to enable the proper racing modification scheme somehow spoil the purity of the real car, however.

That's how I felt, too. The race-mod is so garish, but I finally had to use it for the Historic events at Rome & Grindelwald, and also in some rallies. The Toyota 2000GT also is a better looking car without a race-kit.

True, but that's hard to top, considering that the Toyota 2000GT racing paint schemes are sharp, the colours perfectly contrasting each other (Yes, even the yellow and green).

Yeah isn't it funny how some cars in GT2 look like utter crap, and others look awesome? Like the Aston Martin DB6. Looks killer in GT2, even with the lo-res graphics! But then you get the Aston Martin Vanquish :yuck: and it looks horrid! Way too much PD shine...poorly-defined bodywork

Beleive it or not, the Vectra and Mondeo have the RM that they had in the British Touring Car Championship. Except over here it is not Opel Vectra, it is Vauxhall Vectra!

There is also the Nissan Primera BTCC car from the mid 90's

Omg thats awesome....does anyone know how you can see everyone? Im trying to find the Renault Laguna,

Took pics of nicest IMO:

Does anyone know what that Griffin/gryphon is meant to represent on the Toyota Soarer race mod? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before.

Edit: Sorry, my bad, it's the Soarer's emblem, just did a quick search. BTW, I like the Mondeo's race mod the best.

I saw it, and I think it doesn't. The Laguna logos are still there, but it is the Megane that is yellow and blue.

*actually it was rally paint scheme....

named: renault megane kit-car "F2 class" (2.0 liter N/A engine)
*but the actual bodykit have flared front fender and wheel arch while retaining standad rear wheel arch

My favourites were the rally Megane such as the one above, the rally Saxo Super 1600 car, all the BTCC-alike cars (especially the 155 2.0 like the 1994 BTCC car), and the Honda Del-Sol, which had the same colour scheme as that Civic in the image Mati PL posted.

My personal favourites have to be the GT-One Race car '98. I know its not a rm but stil, when I first look at it, my jaw was wide open with awe. My other favourite in the Mondeo RM.

My first ever post here.:dopey:

Cool. Hope you stick around. It's slow here at GT2 these days, but it might pick up again as the holidays near.

Yeah, it's been super slow in the lower forums these few weeks. Where's everybody?

Back to the topic of RMs, I think the Ford Puma RM looks quite neat 👍.

I've never seen the standard Chaser RM, the TRD Sports X30 RM is one of my faves tho.

But the best will still be the Chaser LM from GT1. Black with white flared wheel arches, monstrous wing and amazing sound . Pity it doesn't have the performance to match it.

Dodge Viper RT/10 RM,because it's bring back the good old memories.(before the Viper GTS-R even exist, some privateer have race this car in some endurance events)

I think the TVR Tuscan Speed 12 in bright yellow is the best racing mod in GT2... it takes the weight down to featherlight, and with all that power this car will really hone your driving skills (throttle control, turn-in, powerslides, etc.) The Camaro 30th anniversary takes a close 2nd.
