Favorite Racing Modification in GT2

There are quite a few that I like, racing modifications being the primary reason that I still play GT2, plus the fact that I finally have it for both ps3 and psp :).

Anyway I love most of the hot hatches, the 93 civic si especially. I'm also growing partial to some of the smaller 63 hp base cars modifications. The suzuki cappucino is great. And of course the TRD Chaser X30 which is just a beast.

Mazda RX-7 GT-turbo '83

Best looking racing modification ever (yellow Enkei rims not included originally). So smooth! Also a very overlooked and great car when stocked up on tuned parts. Much better acceleration and handling than the 2nd gen RX-7.

And the Daishin Silvia is pretty awesome looking, too. And I like this thread, of course. Props for the idea.

^ Nicccceee! Don't remember that '83 RX-7 mod.

The FB-series RX-7 is only found in GT2, by the way. I was surprised it didn't make it into GT4.

Just like I said.
Also great post by Mati PL on the first page. Really digging the Supra, the R32, the Silvia and the blue/turquoise Falken (?) paint scheme in general, as to be seen on several cars.

I like the JACCS livery on Civic and Del Sol. Even Advan-based liveries I like them. (Civic sedan,Altezza,Alto,Lancer VI).

And, rally liveries is a must.

The storm Civic livery even I like. Don't forget Calsonic Nissan liveries.

The best RM IMO, is Mazda RX-7 Aspec. Like the LM racer (in Special lot), but in black or red.

^I agree with your last sentence. Purple or green on the Special Model A-Spec is just so wrong :yuck:.

has anyone ever rm'ed the dodge intrepide u can tune it to like 509hp and it turns in to a dragster a ff dragster0.o also i like the datsun rm

im new here so i hopew im not doing anythign wrong and ive read all the stuff that say read this first but just incse i do something wrong my bad in advance lol

I likle the Mitsu Lancer Evo RS VI paint job and the rally wheels.
And I might try the Dodge FF Drag idea.

With the Mopar Dragster RM the Dodge Intrepid IS the fastest FF in GT2

My Favourite RM in GT2 sofar :D

MadMax

I like the Lotus Elise GT1's RM too. It's a simple paint scheme but looks very clean, and even more race-car like.

You like the Elise GT1 race mod? I'm not gonna 👎 you for that, but IMO I think it looks ugly.

Now for nicest race mods?

There are lots of nice race mods in GT2. Let's see:

VW Bug:

CLK Race Car:

Dodge Concept Car LM:

The historically correct Lancia Stratos race mod:

Tommy Kaira ZZ-II:

Also, well I don't necessarily like these, has anyone heard of the three different VW GTi race mods?

Yeah that's probably the best race mod out there.

The '98 Toyota GT-One is nice too (sexy, plus it's fast):

Just won it from GT World League today.

Hot DAMN I miss Racing Modification ;(
Then play more GT2.

I'm hoping to create the white S2000 on FM3 having spotted it last night. Does the GT logo get flipped on the right-hand side, as it does on the GT-R Pace-car from GT4?

Also, is there a site that has images of all the race mods (or indeed all cars) or are you taking them yourself?

I like the Skyline NISMO the best.
BP is good (well, except for the oil spill)

I think no.

As for pics, it's taken by theirself. ;)

Have fun with it. It's one of my favorite cars in the GT Series, and the livery is far and away better than the '99 GT-One.

The '96 Corvette Grand Sport. The best race mod! Cheap, too. $40,000 for the car and the race mod is $80,000 plus the other weight reductions. 600HP never felt so good or handled so well.

Thought I'd try putting an image into a post since I've never done it before, and I liked this R mod (don't ask me why I spent 80,000cr on a 174hp micro box...)

You can see the Bridgestone written across the front, not so apparent is the extension off the back of the roof to reduce drag like the Deltas have.

It's also one of the most misleadingly named cars of all time: it doesn't have a turbo

And a green coloured one has the colour name Jetliner Silver IIRC :odd:

I've just bought that car, along with that Race Mod. I used it for the 80's race series because it had pretty decent performance, although it is quite tail happy.

I agree that it needs some clever tweaks to stop it from shaking that ass so frequently but altogether you can work with it very well.

And I just found another very nice [R] car.

Not only does it look very good with that clean look and the shutter-like back window cover. It also drives VERY well. To me it feels like the power of the Silhouette Skyline combined with the soft and forgiving yet agile handling of the Daishin Silvia. Great car all in all.
