Favourite moment, image, scene from a movie!

Perhaps people could describe a moment in a film, be it a single scene, image etc that left an impression upon them. It could be beautiful, disturbing, emotional, wonderous...whatever.

I'd like to start with these....

Lawrence of Arabia. The wonderful long shot of the camel and its rider coming out of the haze.

2001: A Space Odyssey. There are so many images in this film. But this one of the Shuttle docking in the Space Station to the strains of The Blue Danube.

Alien. You know the scene!

Star Wars. Wow...I remember being 7 yrs old and going "WoooooW".

The Exorcist. Again plenty of disturbing scenes in this...including the rotating head!

An American Werewolf in London. Fantatstic effect by Rick Baker. Scared the life out of me!

Enter the Dragon. When I was 13 this was the business!

The Matrix. Bullet time.

There are others but I want to see what other people come up with. What's your favourite moment in a movie?

Everyone knows Dirty Harry's 'Go ahead, make my day'.

And imo, the funniest line in any movie ever, Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore saying 'The price is wrong, b*tch' to a supposedly unconcious Bob Barker.

The scene from Spiderman where Mary Jane is in the rain and you can see through her dress. Nah, Just kidding. The Train part from Spiderman 2 was awesome.

Christmas Vacation: Wheln Clark W. Griswald plugs the extention cords together and the house finally lights up in a hail of sparks. Also, when he blows up near the ends of the movie is great, too.

Christmas Story: When Ralphie's mom calls up Flick's mom to inform her that Ralphie heard the "Eff-dash-dash-dash" word and you can hear the lady going psycho in the phone and beating the crap out of Flick.

Any given Sunday : When Willie the main character scores the final touch down, all his team charge toward him in slow motion.

Great picks! I especially love the Solid Lifters "Full Metal Jacket" scene, very scary. Well scene from the "Lawrence of Arabia" is a very memorable one also.

Mine isn't the absolute favorite scene, but this one came to mind. It's from the Star Wars.

The Scene from Southpark : Bigger, Longer and Uncut where the surveillance "thingy" breaks down, the General yells "****ing Windows 98", calls in BG, and promptly executes him...

That scene will be a favorite for a long time !....

How about the end of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" when Chief breaks the window and escapes the institution? I always liked that particular scene.

Yeah, it's a '32 Ford Roadster Hot Rod. It's the reason why I have a '34 myself. Notice the license plate number?
