Favourite Takeaway Meal?

Nearby from my home - there is a Mexican taco truck the food is just too good there, almost as good as my grandma makes it - didn't mention my main take away meal Tortas de Asada, and 5 tacos under $10 US dollars, and no tax charged always gets me full, sometimes I will take the burrito instead of torta - the cooks there already know me (I go there at least 20 times every month) - about 8 minute drive from my home, less when the light rail doesn't interrupt the light signals.

I also like going out for sushi (20 minute drive my home) - Magic Dragon [Chinese style food] is only 10 minute drive from my home 7 min. when traffic lights and traffic cooperate, once in a while I go to Subway or Wendy's (12 min drive from my home). Once every three or four months I travel outside of my city (from Seattle to Shoreline) to get Korean food (1 hour 15 min. away from my home - I don't take the freeway, always congested).

so much talk about food making me hungry, glad I still have to cheeseburgers from Wendy's.

Portable Heart Attack but  so good!

I'm quite partial to a basic Chicken curry from my local Chinese place but I also love the taco style bowl filled with chicken, rice, salsa, spices and guacamole that my local Mexican place does. It's terrible for you but it's sooo good.

I'm a fan of most types to be honest, makes deciding what to eat quite hard

KFC, McDonalds, Italian, Indian, Subway, Fish & Chips are my favourites.

It sucks that my local Chinese delivery restaurant removed sushi from their menu, otherwise I would probably be ordering it right now.

Hesburger is my favorite fast food restaurant, I always take the "Mega Meal". :)

I also like Kotipizza, they make delicious pizzas but they're slightly expensive.

We have a local burger chain here in town called Jucy's (5 locations all together in 3 cities). They have what I think are the best burgers around. That would be my favorite. Although, we just had a Panera Bread open this week which I have not been to yet, so the favorite take out might change.

Chicken French over Pasta.

Pizza anywhere in the states is not like WNY pizza. Anyone will tell you that.

True.

Although that pizza you posted looks fantastic.

Wait you guys need to go somewhere for deep fried food? Here in America deep fryers are pre installed in the house.

Really? In Canada everyone has a deep fryer too :P

I think I'll make some wings tomorrow.

Seriously? We have two smaller kitchen deep fryers and a big turkey deep fryer

There is always the option of a pot of oil on the stove.

Hey, whenever the state fair is happening, I get all sorts of fried foods. Oreos, Twinkies, candy bars; you name it and it is most likely fired during that time.

Don't forget the funnel cake! :)

Oh, I forgot about that. That stuff is just way too good.

Every time we go to the state fair, I always make it a point to buy a funnel cake. It's like an addiction.

Back home, thanks to the percentage of immigrants from Asia, it's not at all hard to find some good and authentic Chinese and Japanese food, though perhaps thanks to my heritage, in my town, there's a place that makes Phở, a Vietnamese noodle soup, that everyone loves. They offer take-out, which makes this apply.

But of course, I'm not in Washington right now, I'm in north Germany. That means I have only one choice: Döner. Not sure what it's called in English, but it's sliced lamb on flat bread of some sort with a variety of sauces and vegetables. It's the number one fast food, and it's Turkish.

We call it Doner.

Have you tried Currywurst? Curried sausage which I am told is nice.

Of course, in fact, it's even said that Wolfsburg's Volkswagen Currywurst is the best in Germany. It's really good, but it can be a little messy.

EDIT: And of course yes, I mean that Volkswagen. They make the sausages and ketchup themselves.

Whoever doesn't say Fish and Chips should gtfo imo. Sorry but true. Battered sausages/burgers are acceptable substitutes for fish. Nothing else. Mushy peas are pretty much a must as well.

Love the fish & chips. Not enough of those things around in Oregon, but I still get some every now & then. 👍
