1st car.... Was my dad's old car.

1977 Dodge Aspen wagon
Was the color of honey. And was named the "honey-wagon" back in High School. Had great heat for the summer and ice cold A/C in winters. But it was the Sh**. Once fit 11 football players on the way home from practice... Oh the memories. HAHA!

My first purchased car was 92 Dodge Stealth R/T (non turbo) miss that car!

Well I don't really own a car right now but I live in this neighborhood with a culdesac at both ends and me and my pops drove around there for half an hour. Amazing how much I enjoyed it. Never got past 30mph but it was an experience I will remember. Can't wait to take to the real roads. :D

Only problem is we leave for vacation tomorrow down to Virginia so I won't be able to drive again for almost a week  .

You guys have no idea how lucky you are you have these options for first cars. In the UK insurance companies would either just laugh at you or charge you well over 5 grand a year!

5 grand??!!!! Why?? Theft big over there?

Not really (well I don't think so anyway?). Anything remotely sporty for someone without a couple of years no claims is out of the question. I had a mate with a CRX at 18 and he spent about £2200 on insurance that year I think!

Mine was a Black Vauxhall Nova 1.2L 5dr, I can still remember the day of passing my test and driving on my own for the very first time :)

I got the first year out the way after paying about £700+ for insurance, then moved onto to the SR model which was a lot sportier, quicker and had loads of extras in comparison to the L model. Still only a 1.3l engine, but the addition of an K&N air filter, stainless exhaust, adjustable suspension, and a somewhat stupid fearless-ness approach to driving on the limits made it feel like the fastest thing around!

@acedition333 @MC-Chase In this Province, and especially this city....insurance is ridiculous. Often times for drivers under 25, the insurance per year is more than the car. It could be between 5-10,000 dollars. Per year. Or even more. I've heard a young driver in a Porsche 944 (I think, don't remember exactly) with a not great driving record had insurance of 25,000... per year.

I hope we get it sorted out soon here.

Did they all have K&N filters? I'm aware you weren't a proper teenager unless your whip had one. They didn't make one for the Justy so I got a green cone filter from Demon Tweeks and bodged it on the dual-point injection (haha ) manifold with plastic padding and a section of drain pipe. I also had green stuff pads that were worth at least 5 points of kudos to my mates at college 👍.

My first car was my brothers beat up beetle (1966 I think). It had some silly carbon fibre parts that looked pretty cool but started shaking at 80kmh which was its top speed pretty much :D

I was without car for long time. Now driving my first bought car, 2010 Skoda Fabia. Not a sporty car but economical and nimble in city.

And I like how it looks :)

A skoda huh? Nice! Does anyone know if they sell those in America? I haven't seen any dealerships in the US

I believe it is built on same platform as VW Polo sharing lots of same parts, I suppose. Just several thousand euros cheaper where I live...

You talk about insurance, yeah, we got that but we have these enormous taxes as well...:(

That Alpha Romeo 4C looks like a "If they mated" result of a Ferrari and Lotus. Which is not a bad thing....
