Eh, not bad. Drinkin, racing, and combinations of such. Same old story.

This evening I put GT6 on for the first time in several months. It's still updating.

I don't have much experience with parity racing, but I am know the format. It's good to try new things.

Just popped in to say hi. It's always nice to see some familiar folks keeping it up. I may be back round the virtual track when the racing/riding/fishing season ends again.

Good to see you're still kickin it. I'll still be at it for a while, you're always welcome in my room. And if we're doing parity racing I might actually get to see you on track! :P

I have a room up if anybody is around, probably will be on for a while so no worries.

Room number is 1472-6681-3415-7081-6838

👍

Edit: Closed for refreshments!

I'll start getting that download going, might download by tomorrow if I get it going sharpish :sly:.

And the yellow 'COTY' special editions are a bit too rare to find in nice shape @hobbsy .

I enjoy driving on Laguna seca but I'm not very good at it. It's difficult for me to find the ideal lines through many of the turns there and I'm not very consistent there. I also find it to be difficult to race there with other cars because of the fact that most turns there have only one ideal line and its difficult to pass there as well. To summarize, I enjoy the track but I'm not very comfortable on it.

I felt the same for a long time but I've eventually started to figure it out. It's a track where taking the correct line certainly pays huge dividends. But I find it really depends on the car, some are very fun there and make the track enjoyable while some others are a complete nightmare and do nothing but understeer. There's also a few turns that appear wide but actually only have one useable line, so I'm often nervous around other cars trying to pass me in those turns.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way

I liked the track a lot in singleplayer. Only when playing multiplayer I have noticed how bad my lap times actually were and been slightly less fond of Laguna Seca since.

There are two turns that make huge difference. I believe it's 5 and 6. I know I should be faster there but the fear of sand gets me... Then cars are all over me in the corkscrew :ouch:

And I won't even be able to race because I will be away. At least I will be away on vacation

I plan to do a second test race with these same cars next Sunday so hopefully you can show up for that one. I did some testing the other evening and for the second track we're going to go to 80's Brands Hatch. The targets will be basically the same as Laguna, surprisingly. Lap time will still be 1:44 but the top speed will increase to 112mph/180kph. Looks a couple of the cars will need some very minor adjustments to get on target there but not much at all. So if you want, you can go ahead and start practicing at Brands since you won't be able to run Laguna. 👍

Interesting but while I'm away, I won't have access to the ps3 Although we don't leave until Saturday. So that gives me a day.

Gratz!

On a similar subject, everyones first car?

My mom's father passed away shortly before I got my license and I inherited a 1984 Pontiac Grand Am.

It didn't last long though, and before long upgraded to a 300+ hp V8 with 4x4. :sly:
