Since we're talking about handling.... the F430 is 548pp / 518hp on SH and the Ferrari 365 GTB4 '71 503pp/363hp is also on SH.

I would of assumed 1 of the 2 would of been on different Tire compound.
Is it because '71 Ferrari handles crappy?? (never driven it):dunce:

No, the 365 GTB4 Daytona handles magnificently, one of my most favorite in the game so far. 👍 I'm basically just leaving the cars stock and they both come on SH stock and both drive nicely on SH so I didn't tinker with them.

True Brandon it would be tough plus it isn't exactly the cheapest car

I'm not sure we'll ever race the really expensive models here because money is hard to come by right now and I appreciate that not everyone would be able to afford them. I want to race them but realize it probably won't be possible in the foreseeable future.

The California will be coming up soon, it's probably the best driving Ferrari. I gave the FXX a quick go on SH and thought it was find, had to mind my manners with it but had no problem getting it around. 👍

So, @Cu3e used TCS 3 on the SH tires and was able to go from a 2:15 to a 2:12.8. I think this might be a better way to balance the field than SM tires and we should probably only do one or the other since TC and SM together would likely be too fast. @Torzilla and @acedition333 if you have a chance try TCS on SH tires and see if that brings you up around the 2:12-2:13 mark. And also try TCS and SM together to see if you go faster than 2:12. 👍

Hmm... I thought I had TCS 2 and ABS 3. Not sure I tried different combos and was pretty tired towards the end.

I am not sure how much more speed the TCS has on SM because the grip is already pretty strong but on SH the difference is clear. There is still some slip there so it is quite enjoyable to drive and you cannot just put maximum brake and maximum throttle even with TCS or you will lose time.

I meant to say 2, fat finger hit the wrong key. :P

Sounds like TCS might be the better way to go and would probably decrease tire wear instead of increasing it. Also, some of the upcoming cars are going to be upgraded to SM for everyone (the older MR cars are a bit too rowdy on SH) and the gap between SM and SS might not work as well. Plus, TCS is much easier to manage (I don't have to check everyone's specs before the race) and no need for me to decide who gets to use it and who doesn't. So TCS is probably going to be the better option. 👍

EDIT: Also, using TCS instead of SM removes the ability to cheat during qualifying.

I think "DINO" is on Rock Hards!:lol::lol:

(sorry couldn't resist)

Are you keeping the Dino on SH?

Not sure, need to give it another drive. It might be ok on SH but the GTO 84 and 512 will be on SM, as will the F40 and 599. The 458 is ok on SH at certain tracks and I'll try to pick one we can use SH with. The California and two other F430 variants will likely be on SH.

using TCS is not a very fun experience, it was like taking a shower with a raincoat on.

 You have to have protection these days... :P

@Torzilla are you using DS or wheel?

I don't think it is that bad. It feels bit more like an underpowered car instead of the beast that it is but you can accelerate more early and aggressively around the corners. For me it feels little like driving the Stock S2000 with more power which is not so bad. That said, I would prefer not having to use TCS but I was stuck at 2.15 without it.

I might try switching it off once I got closer to 2:11 which seemed possible. There were couple of corners where Brandon was way quicker than me last night.

I just tested on SH's with varying levels of TCS and the best I could do was 2.15.297. I did't try SM's with TCS yet, but to be completely honest using TCS is not a very fun experience, it was like taking a shower with a raincoat on.

Well, I don't want anybody racing in wet rain coats, Ferrari leather is just too nice for that. :P I guess we'll probably just stick with letting some drivers use SM tires. If you get a chance, try driving with TCS on using SM just so I can have some reference if you're too fast with that combination. I don't think I'm going to be able to allow both so I need to know if I'll need to disable TCS or if it can be allowed in combination with SM's. 👍

Just did some more practice with @Cu3e . Got down to a 1:12.1xx (found 3 tenths in the last corner alone with a new line  ), and was three tenths up on that lap before looping it coming off of the hairpin, so a mid to high 2:11 is possible. (Something I didn't think was in the cards just a few days ago.)

Still need to find more consistency, though. :dunce:

I tried out SM with TCS and my best lap was 2.11.161, that was a little over 1 second faster than without TCS. I also tried SH's with all aids on and did a lap in the low 2,14's, I think I could've done better than though so maybe letting people use aids might be an alternative to letting people run on better tires.

2:11.1 isn't too bad, I was afraid you'd be in the 10's. Maybe I can allow both and let people choose which they want, but ask that they not use both unless they're really struggling. After seeing your pace on the SM I'd hope you'd just use those, and after the raincoat comment I'd presume that's what you'd choose.

I got 2:13.2 SH without traction control. It is definitely more fun without TCS. Actually I don't think TCS gives any more speed just is more forgiving to mistakes which I do a lot 💡 So it is basically up to how much practice I can put before saturday if I decide to use it or not.

these are the mystery boxes :lol:
we had them in the mixer makeshift shuffle a few times , but only on eiger nordwand :D

But those magically appeared out of nowhere, correct? These were the boxes from the final chicane, after I plowed into them one landed on its corner and one merged with a wall. The odd thing is that the box on its corner did not appear so to @Cu3e, it was flat on its side for him.
