See you Saturday 👍

I like how you can see my dude shifting! Nice shot. 👍

I like that I'm in front of you! :P

If your driving a manual shift, and you use a H shifter, i'm pretty sure that they actually have replicated the position of gear not just moving back and forth!

Except these are flappy paddle so he just makes those weird hand movements (that nobody in real life makes when using a flappy paddle). I still use the sequential shifter though, no matter what my avatar believes he's actually doing. :sly:

 The animation for paddle shifting is so ridiculous it cracks me up. No one would ever make that motion when shifting with paddles. I think the reason they do that is so you can see when you're supposed to shift because if he were to make the real motion well there really wouldn't be an indication as to when to shift. Not like I need to see his arm/hand move to know when to shift I also notice that on some paddle shifters the guys hands aren't in the right position on the wheel in order to use the paddles

I wish we could just turn off the wheel/hand animations altogether and just see the dash. Having them displayed on screen is redundant and a waste of valuable RAM, and personally I find it distracting. I use the narrowest view from cockpit view and that hides most of the wheel/hand animations.

haha, that reminds me, in the Ferrari Challenge game there was a button which would make a driver shake their fist in anger. Mediocre game, but that was a nice feature.

I own that, and I still consider it the best force feedback I've ever felt on a Playstation game. 👍

Well I use ds so I kind of like seeing the wheel and hand animations

Sure, but I'd guess you might give it up if they used that RAM for better smoke/water/lighting effects and better frame rate. 👍

Come to think of it, I haven't played it since I moved up from my DFP and cobbled together cockpit to my G27 and proper setup. It felt funky with the DFP, have to try it with a better wheel. 👍

Be careful, after playing that GT6 will probably feel like a dead fish!

I concur. I was in the "Supercar Challenge" beta (which is bascially the same thing as the aforementioned "Ferrari Challenge"), and the force feedback was incredible. It certainly got you involved! GT6 will feel extremely limp and lifeless after you play it.

I think I have Ferrari challenge. I hated it and haven't played it in ages. I don't remember being able to shake your fist in anger . That it one of the most hilarious useless things I have ever heard of. What you're gonna flip off an ai who doesn't give a 🤬? If you could play online which I don't remember if you could, I don't think anyone would care or even notice that your shaking your fist in anger

Reply to cu3e I agree I wish that when you honked the horn the driver would actually honk the horn

Regarding hand signals, and although you cannot quite see it, I was giving @BrandonW77 a certain hand signal here... :P

And rightly so.......but in my defense I was a total passenger at that moment (admittedly, due to my own ineptitude). :dunce:

I didn't sign up for Saturdays. If I'm not busy Saturday, I may pop in if there's room available. :scared:
You're welcome to join any time Ace.

Can you put me down for the Saturday racing?

I quite enjoy driving most Ferrari's, and their price is not a virtual problem:)

Thanks,
GTsail

I have concerns... clearly they are not using the correct torque settings for those wheels, and not only that but safety here is clearly lapse, we would never be able to work on cars without the appropriate footwear! :sly:
