I happen to like cape ring. For both of the willow tracks, it really depends on the cars we use. I really don't like racing super/hyper cars at big willow. There too difficult to control and keep on the track there IMO. To be honest, I tend to like most of the original circuits. The one that seems to be most like a proper race track is apricot hill. It's got everything. A long straight, Esses turns, a hairpin and a chicane. I was definetely was glad it made a return to gt6.

As for zahara, I doubt it will even end up in gt6. Gt7 most likely, although I'm interested to here your opinions on that.

If we could do away with the jump and the clover-leaf on-ramp at Cape Ring I'd be quite fond of that track, but alas...... :guilty: I like Apricot Hill a lot, one of my favorites actually. It's a proper race track and doesn't have any screwy/fantasy elements. It's a good test track too because it has a lot of varying elements (though only one low-speed turn).

I think if Zahara doesn't make an appearance in GT6 at some point the Internet will probably implode. I'm anxious to see it, for sure, but based on PoDi's most recent "original" circuits (Cape Ring, Matterhorn), I fully expect it to have some race-breaking feature that makes it somewhat useless for proper racing.

If we're requesting tracks we'd like to see in a series I'd like to see some respect for Mount Panorama. I also like the full Cape Ring for the most part, I love the jump, I look at it like a curve going in an unusual direction, you can slow down for it to keep control or floor it, shoot for the moon and look %100 certified badass. I'm not a big fan of the on-ramp though, you would never see something like that on a real race track. I think a loop would make a lot more sense from a traditional racing view point.

edit: keeping my fingers crossed for Cape Ring of Fire after the update.

So What do you dislike with Matterhorn then @BrandonW77?

I don't like when you're driving along, you see a slight crest in the road and think "Oh, a slight crest, no biggie", but when you go over that crest you find out it's an extreme drop and, unbeknownst to you, the road has made a sharp turn to the left as you sail through the air still going straight. Or when you're going down a steep hill into a heavy braking zone and the road suddenly gets so bumpy that your car bounces off the tarmac which means your brakes no longer work and you end up having an intimate moment with the armco. There's one version of Matterhorn that I've failed to complete a clean lap around even after dozens of attempts. I enjoy a challenging track, but I despise tracks that actively try to murder you to death.

If we're requesting tracks we'd like to see in a series I'd like to see some respect for Mount Panorama.

I tried to find a Ferrari that fit with that track but it really didn't work out. I like the track and hope to have us visit it soon, but I've also read that there are many problems with freezing when racing that track online which makes me a bit :nervous:. I've had enough triple-beeps on my machines, I figure I should try to minimize them when possible.

Got some work done today.

Very nice Mr B, liking it a lot. 👍

Just going off on a tangent a little, but it's something I been meaning to ask. Game stats? What are they for you guys.
Mine are (don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to brag or gain kudos)

13'000 miles driven over 251 hrs.
334 races run and 167 wins.
58 million in prize funds with 7 million blown on tuning!
Favourite track = Laguna Seca
And nearly 2000 pics taken!

I'm not even sure I'd know where to look to find that stuff. :dunce: I only use it for online (even if I just want to cruise around a track I still open a room) so if it doesn't track online stats mine will be pretty lame. :dunce:

Yes it tracks online stats too. To find it, it's one of the tabs on the left side of the main menu screen. Below where you would go into your garage
It's the tab Called, Stats!

Here are mine:

Cars Owned: 355
552 races, 273 Wins
71,280,546 Total Credits Earned, 18,428,650 spent on tuning
40,456,9 km driven in 511.6 Hours (I spend way too much time with this game :odd:)
Fav Track: Tsukuba (4,256.8 km)
Fav Car: Honda S2000 '06 (Longest Run: 2,814,8 km)

Photos taken: 148

@hobbsy almost 2000 pictures. That is impressive!

I've spent far too much time in photomode!

@Cu3e do you realise you have driven a distance greater than once around the planet!!! That's impressive.

I just remembered we can only. Have 500 cars in our garages 👎. If you want more you have move cars to the stockyard :indiff:

Yeah, and that sucks. For the last couple months, any time I want to buy a new car I have to go find one to relegate to the stockyard. I've just about run out of cars I'm willing to move (I like having quick access to them all for when I'm in the mood to drive/test something random).

It must have to do with the ps3 limitations because I can't see a logical reason to do this if it wasn't due to console limitations. I'm honestly excited to see what they can do with next gen technology.

My understanding is that they did it because it takes less time for your garage to load this way. In GT5, if you had many cars it could take ages for the garage to load. Their solution for GT6 was to limit the number of cars you can have in your garage, which will lessen the load time. But it takes ages to move a car to/from the stockyard, so a lot of times I'll just sell a car to make room for a new one.

About stockyard, I have only pushed cars there when I have completely gotten disgusted with them.

There are several Skylines that when you drive from cockpit view the virtual hands refuse to move more than 5 degrees or so if speed is more than 60 kmh or something... Is this how the car works in real life? I hate understeer and for me that is just ridiculous.

Anyone know what that is all about?

 I don't pay attention to the hand animations so I have no idea. Lately I've been driving from "normal" (bumper) view anyway so I don't even see them, but even if I did I can't imagine this would be something that would bother me. The lower frame-rate and input lag resulting from any hand animations does bother me though, which is why I don't use cockpit view much anymore.

I suppose it is DS3 thing.

It is not only the animations, I also usually use the bumper view just because it is faster but I was trying to setup a Skyline at Tsukuba a while back and whatever I did it always understeered in the last fast turn. For some reason I thought to see how the wheel handled and noticed that the virtual version of me did not obey me  I said "turn like hell and accelerate to get some oversteer" the virtual dude seemed to say "No this much is fine" barely turning the damn wheel... In the T1 he seemed to be happy to obey. So I cursed at PD and dumped the car to stockyard.

edit: I have tried to search the forums about this but seems no-one else has had this issue. So maybe it is some setting I forgot to switch off. ASM or something... Have to check some time.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the hand animations have no direct correlation to your actual steering input. But I guess if you're seeing more animation in T1 and less in the final turn than maybe there's something going on. You need to have a serious talk with VirtualBergele about his disobedience.

With S2K and BMW Z8 and the cars I used in Parity so far using cockpit view the virtual hands seem to match fine ( steer sensitivity 2 )

Oh well ...

They might to an extent, but the animation only goes to about 90 degrees wheel rotation whereas my Fanatec wheel rotates much more than that so there is some discrepancy. With the wheel set to 900 degrees rotation, the on-screen animation doesn't really even come close to matching the actual wheel rotation (I turn it to 10 o'clock, on screen only turns to 11 o'clock, for example), but I usually run with my wheel at 640 degrees and that actually matches the animation pretty well.....until I turn the wheel past the 90 degree mark of course.
