I use a controller but I have a wheel. Personally I'm worse with the wheel which is why I don't use it when racing online but I feel like I could be better with the wheel if I get a lot of practice and I mean a lot. I still have a lot of fun with the controller but if I can master the wheel (I don't think I can ) I will enjoy it more.

It does take practice to adapt, but not as much as you think, at least to be competent. To be fast it takes more practice, but consistency and accuracy come sooner. It's well worth the effort. 👍

Wow, I'm out of practice! I hardly play GT6 anymore, & coming back from GT5's physics model was a rude awakening all over again. The first several laps were in the 1'39's to 1'38's, oh dear. Then I managed a 1'36, but my times were all over the place by seconds. Then I started to get some consistency back again doing 1'36's, & after sometime I got a 1'35.6XX. Then I got consistent at driving around in the 1'35's with my fastest being a 1'35.372. Track was set to 22 degrees at 3pm in the afternoon with weather set at 40%, tyres/fuel was on fast, & I did 2x 15 lap sessions.

@BrandonW77 - Thanks for the no ABS & trail braking info, was very helpful. I always trail brake deep & long anyway.

See you all later on. :)

Original PS3 Controller. I'm considering getting a wheel; may improve my performance 👍

I would highly advice you to upgrade to a wheel, if you have the money 👍. Such a big difference beetween using a wheel compared to a controller.

My choice would be the G27 if I were you. Why? well because the G27 is an exellent wheel, with GREAT force feedback, and great pedals. It is also a very reliable wheel, I have had mine for almost four years now, and it haven`t let me down since I bought it.

The big problem with the G27, is that Logitech doesn`t make it anymore, so you have to buy it used (Ebay etc.) or find a nearly new one at a local store, and another problem, is that it might not work with the PS4.

I was in the same situation as you when I purchased my G27. Just take your time with the wheel, and practise a lot. Slowly, but certainly, you`ll become a better driver 👍

I thought that the room opened for practice at 3:30 EDT?

Saturday Afternoon: Room opens at 3:30pm EDT, qualifying for the first race begins at 4:00pm EDT (GMT-4).

Seeing as I've missed warm up & race 1, I don't wanna jump in cold for race 2 out of position & mess things up for anyone.

I was looking forward to tonight's racing as well. :(

Was looking forward to race against you too. See you next Saturday then 👍

I somehow managed to miss this post entirely, only just saw it now. I didn't realise that you had changed the time for the event.

Wow, I'm not sure what I was thinking, didn't mean to start it early. I was busy doing stuff around the house, looked at the clock and realized it was almost 3 and just went right to the PS3. My bad mate. 👎 Catch you next weekend hopefully. 👍

Great racing today guys, really enjoyable stuff. Not sure how I keep finding myself towards the front of the grid, those bribes to the tech inspection stewards must be paying off. Congrats to @LongbowX on the sweep.

Good races today. Never managed to find any pace in the second race, but it was a good challenge trying to catch back up after being helped into the gravel at Paddock. Went off there on my own in race one, as well. :ouch:

I tried to watch the replay to check my suspicious move with Brandon but the replay stops just before the turn 1 lap 1. The music continues (it's my own music stored in the PS3) but I had totally no control, I couldn't even press the PS button. So I had to reset the PS3 directly from it. Of course, I had the 3 bipper and restoration file system etc. Then i tried again to watch the replay and stopped exactly at the same time. Had to shut down the PS3 again etc. So I think I can't watch my replay.
Did you guys already have this problem?

Practiced to little for this event, and I ended on the bottom of the list because of that :banghead:. Anyways, I had a GREAT time racing against all of you.

Indy is one of my favorite tracks, so I should be better by next week ;). See you all on the track!

@Litchi I haven't had that problem, and my replay looks fine (I looked to review my own moves a few times. ^^;)

Good races. First race was great, as totally in a rhythm. Second race that all went away and I never got it back. But I held it on the road and managed to just slowly work my way up...excellent racing.
