A GTS, LMP or FIA Speec 12? Does anyone see any exciting possibilities for this in GT HD/GT5 besides live4speed and me? JohnBM01 too?
I'm not quite sure what you're hinting at. Care to expound further?

Valued at over $3 million, the vehicle was inspired by the P4 racer of the 1960s. Essentially, the P4/5 is a rebodied Ferrari Enzo, with a Pininfarina-designed and engineered exterior

I know, im surprised no one's changed the title yet...
To reply to everyone who has said this, think of the title as sarcasm, even though it wasn't originally intened to be. ;)

I never did care for the Enzo. The lines were just ugly as sin to me. The P4/5 is definitely a car I'd want to put in a big garage if I had tens of millions in mad money.

Believe me. I could never seriously connect with the Enzo. More people seem to like the F40 more than the Enzo. I've been more of "I'd rather the F50 than the Enzo." This is a wonderful job by Pinnafarina. It was Automobile Magazine said that this saves Pinnafarina's job of styling Ferraris. I think many of us can agree that the F4/5 is a wonderfully-designed machine. This car should be on TV or videos so we can actually see (and even hear) it at work. The side and rear designs certainly let you know that this thing is as classic as it gets. Little known fact about me: one of my favorite older Ferraris was the 280 GTO. So this design (at least on the sides and rear) is about as vintage as you can get. The front lights make it sort of a classic design mixed with 21st Century design. If PD could get its hands on this machine and model it wonderfully, it can be a shining star in the Ferrari lineup. Is this $3,000,000 thing the actual car or just a prototype? This machine would cost no less than $500K and no more than $1M if it were a street car based on this thing.

When I tried to offer my own discussion here, I tried to turn this thread into lengthy discussion on what PD should do with Ferrari to make GTHD and the subsequent GT5 shine with the Prancing Horse. Here are some past posts of mine on the topic of Ferrari in GTHD and even GT5:

Those are just two of some of my posts. I've taken a critical stand on this on the basis of a few other related issues. I'm just an opinionated native of Houston, Texas, USA. Here is another issue I've come across...

WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO INCLUDE RISI COMPETIZIONE INTO GTHD AND/OR GT5?

< http://risicompetizione.com/go/forza.cfm > - This is the website with info on Microsoft and Forza Motorsport 2 sponsoring the beautiful Ferrari F430GT. Perhaps you've seen ALMS competition and noticed this wonderful F430GT. They've held the sponsorship since the Lone Star Grand Prix back on May 13th of this year. It would be a series of race cars I'd like to see since it's a local team with lots of sportscar racing success. Risi Competizione is perhaps one of the most committed teams to pilot Ferraris and Maseratis. Risi Competizione is sort of a joint deal between Ferrari of Houston and Ferrari of Dallas. Or as I sometimes call them, "Ferrari of Texas" since they represent all of us much like A.J. Foyt represented Houston. Anyhow, it would be pretty tough trying to get a certain race team to feature the car from a rival game. And as you know, the GT series and Forza series are just about rivals (though Forza has great respect for GT). The F430GT has Forza sponsorship. And wouldn't it p*ss off Sony and GT types to see a rival game into a game? Even the Mopar LMP in "Le Mans 24 Hours" had some minimal sponsorship of Gran Turismo. I think the Oreca Vipers also have Gran Turismo sponsorship at places on the car. So could it be possible to have Risi Competizione represented in GTHD and/or GT5? I'd love to see my hometown brand. Or imagine if Risi fielded two cars, one with (and this is going to sound bad to some) Forza sponsorship and another with GTHD or GT5 sponsorship. I think Polyphony Digital and Ferrari maybe sponsor some Ferrari race teams. I don't know if Gran Turismo sponsorship with the beautiful Pescarolos has terminated or not, but it would be interesting if a Ferrari race machine had GT sponsorship.

So what do you think?

every time I looking at a race on Speed channel, I see playstation or GT4 on car or advertise in the side of lot of circuit so seeing a ferrari with pd or sony sponsorship is somthing that is surely about to happen. And seeing the result of the digitalized ferrari made by pd, I dont see why ferrari can say no to them

Well sponsorship is a hell of a lot more complex than that. However official news is that Sony, Polyphony Digital and Ferrari will be co-ordinating marketing efforts in various ways in the near future and that likely will include some race cars being sponsored by Polyphony and bearing the Gran Tuismo logo.

I would like to see Gran Turismo and Forza represented in each other's franchise, sort of like Street Fighter with King of Fighters. How Polyphony's deal with Ferrari will play out is anyone's guess, but special cars are very likely.

So you would be okay with a Forza 2-sponsored Ferrari in GTHD and a Gran Turismo-sponsored Ferrari in Forza 2, Tenacious D (movie of the same name coming soon)?

imaging being beaten by a Forza sponsor car, that would defenetly suck if you drive the PD one or any other sponsor :P

I would like to see that sort of thing, both companies represented in each other's games, but it's extremely unlikely, unless I make a car up on my own with the paint shop. Polyphony and Turn 10 will probably just give each other a nod of respect while thinking their own game was superior. And I have definite feelings of which one is. ;)

How long now has it been since the Ferrari anouncement was made? The reason I'm asking is because when PD anounced it they said more details of the deal would be reveiled within 6 months.Must be getting close to 6 months now.

it's been a long time, not sure about 6 months though. Couldn't help but notice a release date for GT5 written as March 2008. Add the usual year and a bit delay for GT games and it'll be out mid 2009, as I expected... :P

have we actually seen any other rendered Ferrari, or any other car for that matter, than the ones in GTHD since its release?? I want to see rendered Enzo's, 360's and F430's!!

We've seen an RX7 and a Subaru Impreza rally car both arn't in GTHD but both were shown before GTHD's rlease, that's it I think.

I wouldnt buy GT5 if it had ferari's because it wouldnt be like any other game anymore(did that make sense?)

Nope, Gran Turismo isn't special because the cars it doesn't have.

everyone here is getting confusing haha...anywho, i think Gran Turismo is still unique because it has the broadest spectrum of cars that i know of (from microcars to grocery-getters to muscle cars to trucks to full blown race cars). even tho it has ferraris, it will still be unique (of course IMO this would only be if it has many old ferraris as well as the new ones, because most of the games with ferraris only have the new models (90's and up) from what i have seen)
