(FGT2) Formula Gran Turismo Season 2 - IMMORTAL Takes Back To Back Titles!Open

Firstly, this is a damage championship. Why would you turn off the damage? The driving is arcadey enough without the fear of damage been taking away. Damage should always be on. It's always on in motorsport. Infact, you will find it can't be turned off. You do get to come into the pits and fix the damage quickly. Remember that there's no glory without suffering.

Secondly, I logged on to say I will not race tonight but writing about the thrill of driving with damage has made me think about changing my mind, hahaha. Just carry on as normal and if I'm in the room, I'm there.
Yeah, full distance and damage is ok, I was just curious as to the room setting, etc. I mean, I'm all for realism, etc. I wouldn't call it a damage championship though, seems like an omen.

Well that was crazy, I wasn't expecting so much dirty air, first time doing Indy in a while. I should have tinkered a bit more to try and get my right rear tire to last a bit longer, damn. I think I could hardly drive at all and the end of each stint. Final stint I tried to go further than ever but all I did was loose 1 sec/lap and finish with no rear tire, crashing miserably and then getting run over by true blue to push/crash me across the finish line after 2 hrs 21 min..

Good race to agro though, he clearly prepped for that rear tire and knew something on reducing it. He gets the indy win and my virtual GT6 character is off to the infield care center for a medical checkup before loading the car onto the trailer and heading home with my 2nd place trophy. :(

Wow it was a very bizarre race. The tyres were constantly on knife edge and too much sudden lock would just send you spinning. At the end of stints there wasn't really a warning as to how far you could go.... I needed to prolong all my stints by one lap and was caught out badly by the tyres just giving up on me a lap before I was pitting. When we were very close True and you were slipstreaming me, Mustard went up the inside to lap me ( which I was expecting) and I completely lost the car and was lucky not to hit the wall. I don't know whether we touched or if you crashed avoiding me. If that contributed to one of the crashes you had I'm very sorry! Overall though I am pretty happy with a podium!

Well that was... interesting lol, anyway my race story:

I hoped that this race a top 4/5 would be possible. Initially it was disappointing to see the regulars not attending, as we would have been back to large grids. But hey ho, maybe for Monaco. So hoped for a decent race and to maybe not be lapped lol.

The start was awesome. Arms got sore driving around on your own, but 200mph side by side trying not to touch was awful, but good driving guys. Was a fun start, everyone using sense then turn 2 I think I was holding my outside line against Danny and just clipped the wall, was only a couple of miles lost, but that allowed gira to grab my slip, try force it down the inside and all of a sudden a feel a huge bang, completely out of control and end up collecting @MC CAULEY (sorry mate). It felt like this (at the 52 second mark lol)

So after this it was mainly trying to go long on the tyres which threw my race strategy off balance as they were so much worse than I expected. My target then was just to try challenge @pisquali I had a spin when the tyres were gone but it looked ok really and on target.

I got a fair few lag spikes throughout which was annoying as hell and I lost a second a lap when it happened. Then part way through all was needed was to keep the stints consistent (about lap 110ish) so I was going to stretch my legs and my dad said he'd do 15mins or so. usually no, but how hard could it be? He crashes exiting the pits, then blocks @GT_Vette and gets hit up the arse (sorry mate) then I come back a few laps later t find out he's crashed and also gave @Rich S some hassle. So sorry if that caused either of you guys trouble, it was the end of my race after that.

Then I was running behind Danny for awhile, I was 0.4 a lap slower doing this but I really didn't want to try force my way past and cause us to crash and my race was gone so I sat there to have some fun. rich then caught up, I stayed right and thought i'd use him to drag me away from danny, but then you ran wide, it looked as if you were coming back across the track so I tried to avoid and the old tyres and sudden change said 'nope' lol. Then to top it all off, I thought rich was crossing the line and stayed right then for some reason before I could blink i'm in his cockpit lol, sorry for the scare mate.

But good job @GT_Vette no idea how you kept those tyres going, well done mate
@Rich S great performance mate, was good to see the fight between you and agro.
@pisquali thanks for seeing it through mate had fun chasing you
@DannyB013 great drive mate and well done on scoring a rare debut podium
@MC CAULEY hope you're feeling better by next race mate, but importantly you grabbed a few points to open up that gap

Good job all will update points tomorrow morning

driver Points updated :)

Now, regarding teams. With 1 a lot of mixing changing etc, would people like until next race to get a team mate together, name their own team if wanted and try have a teams title battle?

Yeah, I'm good for the next one.

With being sick/in bed all week, when I began to practice after an hour my arms and hands were locked. Must have been from being weakened during the week. I knew the race wasn't on but decided just to go round the track and see how far I get. After stopping it took 15mins before I could use my arms properly again. It was just like that time with Senna at Brazil. Only he was racing driver and I'm some tit in a bedroom. So nothing like that time with Senna in Brazil.

As for Oval racing. Well with 12+ cars it would be great driving. You would probably need 1 or 2 official practice night before the event but it would be intense. If there's ever another Indy 500 let me know.

For sure I got a few points but not being on the podium for the first time, made the walk back to the pits feel like I got nothing, hahaha.

The calendar doesn't seem to say which track is next, and of course the tire type. Yeah I'd like to race perhaps depending on what I have going on.

For 🤬 sake really sorry guys I haven't been on for days trying to finish my assignment due today.

:banghead:

Completely got the rounds mixed around sorry. It is meant to be Autumn Ring tomorrow, and Monaco next round. I'm really sorry guys I've had zero free time this week.

Has or is this going to affect anyone? Running at Autumn Ring.

scroll right and it should have 3 columns :) RM and RH for Autumn Ring

The calendar I'm looking at says Autumn's Ring. (No one Google "Autumn's ring", hahaha)

She's a lovely girl.
Haha :D

Premature postulation above.

I'll try to get the car ready for 8pm. If I'm happy with the car I'll race.

Oh crap, just remembered my arms haven't held a wheel since the last race. **** this isn't going to go well, haha.

Hope you can run a few laps to get some points mate seeing as how IP will be collecting points. I'm less confident running around here then I am at Monaco haha

hey , so what track are we going to race today?

ok my bad , see you guys tonight :)
Autumn Ring

No purely my fault sorry mate. Last week when I thought myself it was Monaco and looked at tyres I found it was autumn ring, so sorry for the confusion.

Have a nice race guys, I have to run some errands. I've not ever done this track in the FGT, if I raced Id get in the way and probably crash immortal or someone lol. But I've got some stuff to do so its all good.

Well sorry for my worst performance ever. Had the speed, but not consistency. Got held up with traffic and trye wear was awful. Sorry to any race leaders I held up. The fog or whatever it was I couldn't see properly and in my mirrors unless you were right behind I was blind. Then the rain came out and I have no idea what happened. No matter how slow I went I struggled like mad, no tyres worked well and with not driving for awhile I was plain awful. Sorry @GT_Vette im glad I didn't cost you a podium. Another good performance @DannyB013

next race is set for 7/11? Is this correct and is it at Monaco? haha.
That's correct haha :P

Now with spare time and only fgt I can get online more, shake the rust off and hopefully get some better numbers

Soft and Hard, I think.

Vroom..dadada...Vroom, vroom..dadadada......Vroom,vroom, vroom..dadada.

(Closest I could get to spelling the noise of an engine being revved).
