I'm very completely tired of this weird weather situation, it screws up completely up any balance achieved with the cars so far, gives some cars some greater advantage and all in all it's just always going to rain like a deluge.

I can very well understand drivers parking their cars and this is not a good sign, we had more flooded races than dry ones. Some great races and battles were just wasted due to it like today's battle on dry with bake and pyrates.

and i want to stress that on dry the imprezas were as fast as others and din't show any "worse" tire wear.

in any case i'm at a loss about what to do and i wantt o hear all of you guys opinions

I'm sorry guys but I'm tired of all that whining. "Change this rule, change that rule, it makes me fall behind and that's not fun." This series is and always has been "variable weather." Sometimes we have a dry race, sometimes on water. That happens.
point is that it's no more like season one when it was dry sometimes wet or on between... Polyphony must have changed something that messed up everything with weather

Yeah it was a shame our battle stopped because of the rain. I would suggest to try and lower the changeability and time progression. That way we can still have the occasional wet race but not this extreme.

Just put it on fixed so that if there's only 10% chance of rain in real life then it won't rain on track. Or if there is an 80% chance of rain then it will rain and be consistent, there won't be any heavy rain, then dry, and then a flood.

fixed makes it fixed. it means that it either do not rain or just keep raining

we used 12 to 14 in season one and we never had such situations in a whole season...

Let the season play out .

Next season Karsten just have it a one make with 1 car , that way no one can complain .

You can have a vote for the car .

Thats my suggestion .

Only a few like to race in the rain. I wasn't complaining, I was stating a fact. I don't have fun racing in 100% surface water. Half of the field don't like it.
I didn't mind the first part of the race because it only went to about 13% and back to dry. Then it started again with the surface water and went to 100% within a few laps, never to dry again.

The game is not perfect. We all know that, we all have to live with that. On other circuits you might as well be comlpaining about low visibility in the night. I like this being a wather / time variable series.

To be honest I am fine either way. I must admit that although the Imprezza is very strong in the rain I had the most fun today when it was dry. That was really great full-out racing. It is not as much fun when half the field can't be competitive because of the rain.

That's the point. If the forecast is dry and you put weather change on anything other than fixed it will be 100% weather more often than not. If you don't put it on fixed nothing will change and the WRX will win every wet race. Bake made up 1 minute of time in 20 laps while he was down 20hp and he spun.

I don't complain about night races because I can still see. I also fix the brightness on my tv to see better at night. There is nothing to set or fix for 100% surface water. I spun too many times in 100% surface water and it wasn't fun. Hence the reason why I parked my car. I won't leave the series, but I will park it every time with 100% surface water. You might as well call it driving on ice without ice tires. :)

The changeability or time progression makes no difference, I have tested it.
If weather is on, when it get's wet, it get's very wet, very quickly :(

Yes that's why I quoted it, you said you're trying at 12. Everyone is saying try less change.
if you set clouds at 60% and fixed you get rain until 100% water on track and stays so; if you set weather at 50% you get 100% DRY race for it'll NEVER rain.

this is fixed weather.

at 12 as we had on season 1 it was probably fast enough to move in all directions to rain and sun, or at least it was so before polyphony messed with it

What's the problem with what you described? If it's not supposed to rain it shouldn't rain. If it's supposed to rain it should rain and stay wet not dry out and then flood again all within 10 laps. I'm not saying we shouldn't have rain, I'm saying it should go one way and stay that way so there's no randomness and you can actually have a race stratagey.

So what you want is either 0 % water or 100 % water, nothing in between? 'Cause that's what you get with fixed weather. First few laps with quickly rising water levels and then the whole race on 100 % water.

That said, I also don't like the sudden changes. Cost me more than a minute on Monza, where I went passed the pits on RS on quite managable, slowly risinf <20 % water when the track suddenly became flooded and I performed quite a nice balet.

On Suzuka, the weather worked quite fine I think. It rained, then in stopped, the track dried and then it rained again.

That is what you get with what we have now to begin with. It goes from dry to flood in 5 laps. Today it went from dry to slippery to dryish to flood all in 10 laps. It's not fun having to guess what tires to pick when you don't know if the water level will gradually rise or rise very quickly.

It also doesn't go full wet instantly all the time with fixed weather. I just did a race at Monza in an SLS where it went from 0%-15% yet it took 15 laps. That is when it's fun to drive in the rain and when you can see who can drive and who can't. Dramatic increases in surface water is all about hoping you have the right tires at the right time.

It didnt get to 100 til around lap 32 - 34 i think .

The game is unpredictable guys , everyone who has tested knows this .

No matter what setting you use you will not have the same result in 3 tries . 2 might be the same and 1 different or all 3 different but you wont get all 3 being the same .

That's why you take the randomness away and put weather on fixed. If you guys didn't have the same problem last season then PD has clearly changed something.

I for one like it being random and fixed wont give you what we had yesterday , a half dry race and half wet race .

I have a feeling karsten will get rid of rain races for next season .

Only myself and the subaru guys seem to enjoy the rain .

There's a reason only RX-7 & the Subaru guys like 100% weather. I think the results board at the end of Autumn Ring tells the story.

I went inters , I had a feeling you went full wet Bake , you seem to jump straight to wets like when we were practicing Suzuka .

I didnt even practice Autumn Ring at all in the wet.

If I didnt get held up for those 18 laps by logic and ekke , I would of probably got 2nd or be fighting for it earlier than the final lap but thats racing .

Should be a good replay to watch.
