[FGTA] Formula 1-SEE NEW THREAD!Finished 

Wear rate has shot through the roof, its what you'd expect on "fast" tire/fuel room setting. Typical PD I suppose.

Stiggy could go twice as far as me on tires, and Immortal's fastest lap was a football field better, somehow managed to claw my way across the finish line in 2nd like Smeagol from Lord of the Rings. :lol:
 
Firstly, I just want to say thanks to you all for waiting, and then restarting for me last night. Had I not been sat behind a HGV going 15 mph because 3 police cars had stopped one guy in a beemer, and then got stuck behind some fairground vehicle going 5mph right outside the road to my home, I'd have made it just in time... You're all too kind. 👍

I guess 4th wasn't a bad result given the bad start and the severe lack of practice. I had a few blips during the race, and I was nowhere near as comfortable as I was at Tokyo. Fantastic speed from @IMMORTALPILOT as usual, although... that lunge at the chicane did knock my left rear and unsteady me for a few laps. I gotta say, @Rich S was definitely up there if his practice time was anything to go by. Want to say sorry to @teamdbw for the contact in the mercedes complex, that was definitely avoidable.

I'll likely miss the next round on the 27th, simply because it's my birthday on that same day.
 
I had no practice, it was my first time in the v1.09 FGT and only time for one lap of qualifying and I managed a 1.40... but it took me over half the race to come close to that time, it was torrid and I was lapped by the end of lap 5 because the car was totally undriveable, one second everything is under control and the next the car just snaps out...

After I regained composure, I did a decent run of 40s and 41s and decided to push, and easily did a 37.8... I reckon I could get in the mid 36s but to be consistent, with tyrewear and unpredictable handling? I don't know... how Immortal is doing 34s and 35s without making mistakes just shows how great he is... I have to say I was impressed with JF, every time he overtook Immortal I was cheering! And It looked like Mustard and him had a good battle for much of the race!

Storm brought some decent points in for his championship and for RTRacing, he also looked like he had a great battle with Revoy I think... and of course Bresson won the battle at RTRosso after a dreadful start too... I can't let that happen again or he might swap his big coffee mug for a big ego! :P
 
I will be out of town Thursday-Saturday this week, so the race report will be a few days late again. Sorry about that.

Again, big thanks to all who attended. Of those of you that didn't, @sickassasin87 and @DrAug didn't notify me. The next race is at Daytona Road. I am going to do some testing to see if the lights are good enough that we can do a night race. A drivers brief for that will be released in the next few days. Due to some people not attending many races, or getting disconnected a lot, I have made some changes to the teams, in order to have a closer fight in the teams championship. These changes have been noted below. If you have been changed, you don't need to buy a new car to get the correct color, just keep using the one you have.

Well Stiggy you got the 666th post. Hoping to make the race on Sunday, I've got a real race (the bicycle kind, aka Tour de France) on Saturday but I should get back the same day as long as I dont end up in the hospital from it. :lol:

Oh, sorry to double post, but I think this information is important for you guys! At the CTSCC last Friday, myself and @MatheusBond ran a race at Daytona in the night time. Personally, I reckon the lights are bright enough for a night race, but I would urge everyone to practice first, as daytime markers for braking and the like will be vastly different to nighttime ones.

Also, the bus stop: if you are having trouble knowing when to brake, speed is your friend. By this, I mean make a mental note of what speed you can get to before you have to brake. This is by far the easiest visual marker you'll probably ever find for that corner.

Yes. I have tested them today, and we are racing at night.

Pit entry notes:
Pit entry is on drivers left at the end of the lap. You must enter the pits at 120 mph(193 kph) or less, or you will be reset and you will lose time.

Pit exit:
You must use the extended pit lane. If you use the short exit you will immediately be given a 3 place grid pen for each offense. This is because the short pit exit enters you straight into one of the fastest and narrowest parts of the track, which is completely unsafe.

Race start:
Since the race start is on banking, it is easy to spin. Because of this, you should use care off the line, and it is recomended to use a higher gear.


Penalties:
@Storm_SP17 - 15 place grid penalty(will be applied to next race back).

Other Notes:
This will be a night race. See you there!

Guys im having trouble installing the update....guessing im not the only one either. Just a warning if you have not been on in a while.... get on now and do it.
 
Scheduled room open in 52 min. It will be open before that, I have a few min left on update.

I also have storms in my area, so I hope I don't lose power again :nervous:

There is still 40 min till Q and 65 min till race start. We'll see how long you need. I don't really want to wait longer than 10 min.
