[FGTA]Formula 1 World Championship - GT_Vette is Champion over DrAug and xChris93_!Finished

Neither! Chris was the pole sitter but AGRO was the home run hitter, and Aug came from the back to finish second, a French national trait *no offense meant hehe*

It was an exciting race. Chris got the hole shot to T1 but i managed to pass as he pitted a lap earlier than me. Aug was in top 5 in no time so I knew I had to keep looking for time on track (after I already thought I couldn't go faster). Aug nearly had me twice as I came out of the pits in turn 1 but i managed to hold hime off with fresher tires. In the end I'd say my win was a bit of a fluke but also a bit of determination lol. All lapped cars I encountered pulled off line how you should. From my point of view it was a much less eventful but no less exciting race than Ascari was. Thanks for Mini-Stiggy, Matheus, Glen, and any other responsible for organizing this great championship. And thanks to all the participants who make for a great race and whom Many I've raced with for awhile now. GT6 would be no fun without you guys

Never mind this, after reasserting myself and after doing some setup work of my own I'll continue. And yes, I was the idiot who took everyone out at turn one on the first lap.

Glad to hear it mate, I was lapped very early on after being hit (not by you) in the first lap.... and with intermittent sound I just had no confidence in the traction zones... there are always set backs but both of us and @teamdbw will come back stronger!

p.s. sorry team, I was trying to get out of the way first lap...

In the future if I spin in front of anyone I'll try hitting the start button (if that is allowed?)

Ok after thinking things through I'm willing to forgive you as long as your willing to apologize for loosing me 45 secs and others too, and not hitting us again. You have to promise you dont create more trouble for me and for others be respectful... I lost 2/3 of a lap and someone else might have lost even more as my damaged car bottle necked the field.

Yes, I am sorry. I know now that you can't be very aggressive in these truly super cars.

It comes down to being aware of what the other drivers are thinking, I try and put myself into the shoes of the car I am trying to overtake or defend, and know what their likely reaction is going to be (or if they even expect the move/block) - fortunately I've raced against most of you guys so I am decent at judging these things, come race in the F1 rooms...

I tried GP/F yesterday, albeit at full power, and it is tricky since the Force Feedback changes because the steering is too light for me, feels like the car is iceskating! I'm doing a 30 minute test in an hour's time (ALL WELCOME!) I think whoever gets the right camber-toe setting is going to up to 2 seconds faster than the field (who keep a standard setup)... then again, that could mean more tyrewear!

Camber helps now? What camber were you using?

i think what changes most between camber or toe is toe , you feel instantly the changes .... last time i tweaked camber i lost time and had more tirewear ...

Stiggy I have a concern with RTacing and RTrosso essentially being the same team with 4 drivers, I didn't notice that until now but it seems a little bit anti-competitive to have a team with 4 instead of 2.

They'll only score points for there respective teams of 2. If they want to work together, I don't have a problem with that. And even if I did, all they have to do is make a private conversation and no one would know they're working together.

Edit: Results will be released today.

I dont want to see blocking and holding cars up on track though.

I can assure you that all RT teams and drivers are highly motivated to win the championships for themselves (except Bresson, he's here for the beer) and they wouldn't be with RT if there was any whiff of a team order or if they weren't free to drive as fast as they can!

Come to the Lotus F1 room / F3 room!

Any team orders would most likely be thrown out the window by turn 1 anyways. The competitive fire burns too strongly for some of us.

Nothing wrong with making the car a little wider than it really is, so long as it is by the book :) And as mentioned, they're all for the win lol. They're not going to take each other out as they're all squeaky clean to race with...but they won't be cutting eachother any favors either haha :P

I'll prob be on later arty. Been tied up lately putting magic dragon racing in the lead!!! for the DTM championship that's going on. I miss driving the lotus and f3 to death.

Rich you're having a laugh mate, take a chill pill lmao. The day any of us try to hold u up will be the day hell freezes over.

p.s. IT'S A GAME!!! don't take it too serious man.

Race Director Notes
Again, thanks to all who attended. It looked like a great battle for the win. A drivers brief for Nurburgring will be released shortly. See you there!

@GT_Vette we should ask Dustybin, Vector, etc to join the championship, and a couple more of the guys, they won't be RT but they'll bring a lot to the party because they are fast, can you approach them and see if they'd be interested?

p.s. @IMMORTALPILOT with the new FFB do you like the car now? It really would be great to have you racing in this championship, it'll be a blast!

Yeah I'll ask them and maybe a few others. I got many friends on psn who may be interested in a reserve spot also.

Also I believe my fastest lap last race at fuji was a 16.562.

You may have convinced me the other day to come back...that would be up to stiggy, though. Vector would prob be down. I know he usually plays on the weekends mostly..

Setup is pretty tricky with the Lotus, I'm finding out that things are far from ideal so far, and I've gained a good amount of time thank god. Hoping to eek out some time but going back to the drawing board with stock suspension with just 0 camber as the same as Arty's.

Arty I just cannot decide if your spring rate/dampers/roll bars are better than stock. The car feels free-er with your settings but speed wise its like the same or slightly worse. Very puzzling. So far I'm way of a 1:29, I cant imagine that, I think that's what I'd predict from immortal on low low fuel but certainly not me or anyone here unless I'm missing something big on my setup.

The stock settings are very good, say with fully stock car you run a 1.40 around GP/F, the moment you adjust the downforce to full, you'll be doing 1.34s. Change the camber and you're down to 1.33s. After that it is the little changes that make the difference. Every change is worth about +/- .2 - 1s. So optimizing the 3 items in the drivetrain is worth 1.5s, optimizing the toe 1s, optimizing the gearbox 1s, etc (i.e. RT's late call to go to SETUP F at Fuji that yielded a .5 advantage). I definitely think there's a 29.5 in qualifying but it remains to be seen if anyone achieves it - I managed a 1.32.5 with the SETUP A (the one published in the tuning forum) but I am really struggling to match that with the FFB as it is now, but it is capable on its own to do 31.5-7.

I am aiming at 33s/34s/35s in race and just being consistent because the long run performance / tirewear be decisive.

I agree. There is a lot of time to gain with various setups with this car as we've seen. Every change absolutely makes a difference. Nurb GPF seems very receptive to each change, too.
