Oh, I like full damage, makes drivers more careful but ok... damage cost me the race at Fuji!!!

If anyone mentions suzuka, I'm going to pop my cork lol. Have the race recorded to watch after we finish.
 
Well I froze in the pits and couldn't go anywhere, could only pause in both Q and race. I thought my internet was incompatible with glens but I'm not sure if its just GT6 bugs causing the issue on multiple angles. I could see everyone but apparently others like Peir couldn't. Peir and a couple others lagged a little and GT6 lag seems a lot worse than GT5 as it causes frame rate drop on top of the lag. Regardless GT6 online is like something PD vommited out compared to GT5 which worked alot better and looked better too. I might have to switch over to PC gaming instead of going down the PS4 route, and if I get a PS4 it might be a couple years down the road when its cheaper as I'm not convinced Sony can produce a good lag free online racing game on PS4 if this is what they've got right now.
 
Great race. Going to point out on here as well that revoy needs to blue flag himself when he is ten laps down and people around him are competing for position. The only thing that made me mad was vector typing 2/3rds through the race and a quarter of my screen grays out because of his text...which was merely to inform us that he was quitting the race! Makes no sense. Ended up in a gravel trap and had to go 30mph to get back to pits after burning them up from sliding off and then getting back to the black stuff finally. Lost two damned laps because of this. Waste of two and a half hours this time around. I would rather someone talk the whole race in my ear through a bluetooth than to have a text window pop up on the left side of my screen on a corner entry. Was disappointed as it is not my strongest track, but qualified quite a bit better than I expected and had it pissed away not much longer than half way through with strat right on schedule. BS.

Great race everyone, it was a shame that Glen and Yad lost time with offs because we had a similar pace and it was enjoyable, and WarMachine's disappearance, because I definitely had the strategy to fight him in the last 10 laps, in the end I had my eye on 5th after Duffy's late pit stop but just fell short! It seemed like everyone was in some kind of race with someone :D

It was a shame that Mustard didn't qualify and had problems because he had the pace to challenge for the podium; I was surprised that both he and Peiratis did not exit the room after qualification and rejoin, since both of them had clear problems at that stage of proceedings. Hopefully we'll have a better time of it at Red Bull Ring, which I believe is next.

I also want to thank you guys for having patience to wait until a fellow driver could enter the room, we'd do the same for you. Hopefully now with everyone added, it won't be a problem.

With RED BULL RING next, organizers should be aware there is still ongoing server problems there, which means there might have to an 'exit to pit lane' start race, with a formation lap and rolling start. May be it will be fixed by then, but testing there would be a good idea...

Just a note, I know Vector typed an unnecessary message during the race but it was his first race and keep it clean otherwise. I've raced him (and some of you have too) and he is a good driver and I can see he moving up the grid fast.

In the race, damage was off. I never touched a single car in the race, but I did bump into Team during qualifying (to make sure he was still awake). I hope we get a clear ruling on whether damage is light, heavy or off soon.

Lastly, my driver of the day is my teammate @teamdbw, he drove a solid race, one of his best and I am glad he is finally getting a hang of this car :)

In the race damage was light, managed to go the whole race without damage until the final lap when I hit the back of augs car when it was on auto drive and I got FL damage..:ill:

Yeah its a shame that we couldn't have stayed in the first room as no connection issues were apparent...I should've had friend requests in the days prior, and I sent an FR to aug 1hr 30mins before the room opened.

All in, it was a good race..if i'd done any testing I would've know the medium tyre pace and could've had 1 less stop..i actually drove my quickest lap on the mediums with low fuel..lol

That was certainly fun chasing each other. You were more consistent on exits. I was correcting too often and only catching you through turns and ever so slightly under braking, but you were blasting out of them like no other! It didnt matter where I was making up time. You'd pull it right back. Was like a red bull trying to catch a merc amg lol. Whatever you're doing with the rear of the car is working for sure! And I know on vector. He is a good guy and really funny. I was just furious at the time.

Glen, I'm sorry I took too long for the FR. I had a crazy week and didn't even get to practice at GPF with these specs, let alone send out FRs. My mistake, man. I'm usually on the ball with that stuff -_-

Maybe after a race or two, we could go back to full damage? Seems like everyone is getting the hang of not railing each other. If there are still issues with the red bull ring, maybe we should move it back a couple races?

I had a really challenging race with @GT_Vette in the end. I decided to try and undercut him with 10-11 laps to go, so i switched to Racing softs for my last stint and minimal fuel to get me to the finishing line. 4-5 laps went and all of the podium runners pitted, aughablo and chris came out 9 seconds ahead so they were long gone. After another 4 laps I started to struggle really bad with tyre wear, and having agro hunting me on much fresher tyres weren't easy especcially since he had half a second pace advantage when we both were on fresh tyres. But i managed to hold him off somehow, i must have ruined his downforce and made his tyres go off really fast. Last lap he was no more than half a second behind me and all over my gearbox. I had to go super defensive to keep him behind. We crossed the finish line seperated by 4 tenths.

Superb racing!

It was a good race once we finally got it going. Feel bad for warmachine getting dropped mid-race. @RacingLine and I had a great battle but his strategy worked great and he came on top. I had forgotten to switch to mediums on my third stint do i had to instead pit them on last stint at lap 32. Now i know what i suspected, that racingline was on much older tires than I was last stint. Every time I got close enough to take back third I'd spin the tires and lose time. I went into a cycle of mistakes breeding mistakes, becoming frustrated with myself.
A great race overall with people really getting used to the starts and lapped traffic. Next race I think we can go back to full damage. Congratulations to @DrAug for the win and @xChris93_ and @RacingLine for the podium spots. Next time i wont fuel my car first stint or wait to put mediums on ;) 👍
 
Ye it was a great race and a lot of fun to take part in again, I drove 100% and still never came out on top so fair play to Aug. Wish I shared the same strategy! I'm definitely learning more race after race!

On that note though, stiggy or alz could u let me know if there's a glitch with the gt6 replay system. I was looking at the replays to figure out peoples strategy and I scrolled through each lap for each driver looking at tyres and fuel. There were a few drivers who appeared to be on racing softs for the whole race, however I also noticed a few drivers who ran the usual soft and medium stints as well. It confused me how I could see some people change tyres and run meds during the race but couldn't see others. Could u check your replay out for me and see if u agree, it's probably a glitch I hope. It's definitely in the rules that we have to change compound as well right lol I just assumed so? Cheers!

Yes there is a repay glitch, you will see your true stint..Others will show the tyre they started on, for the whole race regardless of what tyre is on the car.

Tyre Type change rule was on, and there were no penalties at the end. 👍

Guys I'm sorry I texted in the room and got angry after freezing, I should have just left without saying a thing to not cause any distractions. If GT6 is my last console racing game I just want to end on a high note and finish with a win or top 3 rather than go out with a glitch. Hopefully I can have my bad luck turn around so it doesn't have to end that way, in fact I'll make sure I dont go out like that, I'll keep plugging away here and end it after having a fun race. I wont let PD ruin it and make me angry.

i was quite lucky to put on a strategy and see every driver i wanted to take place do exactly what i want (pit 2 or 3laps after me).
that's actually the only reason why i won , because i did few mistakes (losing maybe 15sec..)

about Gp/F , this track was making overtakes very hard .. no long straight , lots of slow corners , and lots of draft coming from the car in front made it very tuff, even to come close to a lapped car ...

we'll need to find kind of new gearing for the slow chicanes at monza ...

now about my wheel ... my g27 is getting old .. i already switched old throttle with clutch pedal , but now my problem is getting worse and worse everytime i play ... so i play less and lose my average pace... my throttle keeps coming up while my foot is totally off it (5-15%) , which makes me kind of crazy .. car turns in wrong or just not where i exactly want ... i can't cross the line at brands hatch lfa TT with 1 clean lap , just because of throttle issues , i had few sunday but was able to manage them almost every time , staying on driving line ...
thing is , i don't want to spend more money on gaming , costs already too much , ps3+wheel+game etc... so if i'm not able to fix it correctly i'll just as easy as it is stop playing.

edit : if anyone has plans for cheap pedals , i'll be taking a look for sure ...

Sorry yadeegson for the distraction it was not my intention to ruin your race. I joined the room on time had no connection problems and had to quit because I simply ran out if time. Being a family man I cannot just take over the TV for endless hours I have others to consider the race should have been over at 22.30 local time, and qualifying should have started at 20.45. I had to drive into pits at 22.30 and leave the playstation running so I could copy the race at the end, if I had left the room a message would have also come up saying that, you may have crashed again? My point is if this race had started on time I would have finished it and never distracted yadeegson by what I thought was a short polite text explaining my reason. I also understand I was wrong in texting and apologies for that and to anyone else who crashed because of it. Next race I will have to exit at 22.30 local time this will have nothing to do with position in race or rage quitting just that I will have run out of time.

Would it make sense before the next race that anyone having connection problems take time researching their modem router on youtube to see if they can get their playstation connection to NAT type 1. From my own experience NAT type 2 will give me a connection issues.

Other than that I very much enjoyed the race, the speed of the top drivers was impressive (understatement) and I look forward to Monza not sure if 80’s or modern but will be there.

I would like to thank my family and sponsors my team and engineers who helped me in the race today woops I forgot it’s only a game!

Hey yadeegson, I just watched the race and while you lost about 10 seconds on lap 24 due to my text (sorry again) you seem to be blaming me for lap 28 when you lost control due to you not stopping for tyres. Just to be clear on lap 24 you crashed (my bad) you scrubbed your right rear going from a 7 to 6 no other tyre showed any other wear, on lap 28 you chose to stay out even though your tyres were shot. You lost control and crashed a few times on lap 28 leaving no tyres on rear, but the rear right was the last to go to zero. Just asking you to put record right maybe you need to watch the race again. One last thing on what lap did you race on medium tyres?

Ok, then I may have mixed up the two offs. Either way, don't type in the screen. What happened in my race doesn't matter for you, other than the fact that I lost time, because you started writing. And don't bust my balls over the tires. Note that it shows everyone used softs the whole race. It is an error. I used mediums on one of or the only stint between the first and last stop, if you really want to know, bud.
