Congratulations @xChris93_ mate :). Agro, Pedro consistent podiums as usual :).

Sorry to hear mate, but i'm more down then you i swear :P

Seems the extra i payed for my connection is actually a deal for we had flawess race when i hosted... So i guess from next week i'll be host again in hope all will go in place fast. I've thrown 4th mate T_T my eyes betrayed me before half an hour and the last 20 mins i couldn't take a corner apex...
Hmm I dunno! Haha I mean, I had to choose to leave lol you got a random roulette win for DC's.
Yeah your lobby worked straight away! Wish we had tried that first.

I was watching you for awhile dude, doing very well and in touch with the podium runners, sorry to hear you dropped it man.

Just a quick note here for what its worth.

We origianlly moved the race later for Flank, however he has left the series. We coul;d go back to qualy ar 18.15 uk time and race start at 17.00 uk time. if thats a help
I remembered that it was put back due to a couple people but couldn't remember who.

If everybody is fine with that and it could happen that would be amazing help for me to be able to make it, even if a bit of delay happens there'll be a better buffer in time.

Obviously you meant 1900 race start :)

After such promise i feel i let it slip away a bit.
I purchased a brand new car to use in qualy and race and set it exactly the same as the training car, but it just felt slightly different in qualy and race, and i struggled to keep in the 1.43s that i seemd to be able to do before.

So i was in fourth place and gradually dropping off the leading pair by .2 per lap but hoped my tyres would last longer, however on lap 6 with sken .5 behind, i got a fishtale in the bus stop chicane on the banking and as i recovered my rear left bumped sken and pushed him onto the grass [ really sorry Sken ] and he dropped way back down the order recovering, i was left with damage at the rear but not bad.
Karsten overtook me on lap 9 and then did his own bus stop chicane crash a lap later.
So after the first round of pitstops i was 3rd and really happy, then on lap 16 on turn 1 i somehow caught the barrier on the left at the apex and came to a dead stop and had massive damage, and limped back a whole lap to the pits dropping to 11th place and rather cross, all the training i did, i not once went near that barrier so was a bit confused.

After that it was then push harder than i should have to recover to where i felt i shuld have been, but twice more during the rest of the race i made mistakes and got damage.

Great stuff to Chris, Agro, Eol and Sken - great recovery driver. as usual cream rises to the top again lol.

I could not expect a lot with the amount of practise I had... which was zero... and no miracle occured.
But after hitting the inside and the outside of turn 1, my car was completely destroyed and took my long enough to understand that if pressed the start button, i'd become transparrent and it would take me back to the pit automatically; took about ten minutes to complete that lap and there i was, five laps behind already.

By lap 33 I was cruising 1.46 on average and even managed a 45.061 which i'm proud of. I know it's still far from your pace but i feel like i'm getting there. Still a few mistake here and there trying to get extra second everywhere but of course lack of concentration at the end.

You guys are really impressive!

See around the track this week

Cedbel, you deserve a medal mate - i have never known anyone as determined as you are to get through to the end.
For sure your 90 minutes must seem like 3 hours. Well done.

I need a team mate to do that for me lol! any takers? I'm still an independent team :(

Pretty happy with my record so far though, 4 wins out of 7 and two 3rds and one race that I missed because of uni :/ I'm sure Logic and Karsten have a plan to try to stop that soon... :( but it's been good so far :D

Concerning Teaming up, i think Cedbel is currently alone? He's a cool guy and will do well with a proper setup. Also he's always there bringing points.

I think there's no working plans to hinder you guys... I spoke at season start that allowing tuning would make things go this way. Faster guys are already faster, and always better tuners that the average guys. So as usual i was unlistened to and right in the end :D

Karsten, dont be so negative. there is no way to make it exactly right, and importantly everyone is enjoying the series, so even though whatever we do wont make it perfect, whatever we do might help.

It's just that i was rising those issues all along the planning and it's saddening to see i was right... (Too high hps, tuning, weather) Last seasons we were overall closer expecially in times and pace.

Not saying i'm not glad people are enjoying the serie and i think we have an enviable average number of drivers each week that most gtp series are envying us.

It's just i could see everything being even better :) or maybe i'm just feeling that way myself... I think i've became a sore loser :D

Still as much as i hate to make more performance penalties, we never had such a monotonous run in the top positions in all the seasons. Not sure what we can do for it since most of the problem are given by rain and setup abilities of our resident aliens.

I really enjoyed the race last night; I did just not understand why I was so slow in the qualification and the race. I lost every round up to two seconds from the leaders.

Today I realize why, but never mind:odd:. After being qualified as eleventh, I knew that it will be hard to come back. So I calculated my strategy and was trying to be as consistent as possible with a minimum of errors. On the 8/9 lap, my plan was completely changed, I had a crash with Ced, who was suddenly involuntary sideways in the middle of the track and I crashed in him. Maybe I should have taken the grass, but it is too late for that now.

At the end of the race, I had the impressions to have participated to an F1 race, as I did not overtake one single car during the race. I gained all my positions with my pit stop strategy.:gtpflag: so i was glad with my 7th posistion at the end.

Next week I will not be able to participate as I’m on vacation. But I will be back for Tokyo

Damn you i miss japan so much T_T

Have fun you mate!

Karsten can you post weather for

week 8 Circuit de la Sarth 2009
8.47 miles Forward/weather & time variable
real weather at venue Race starts at game time 21:10

Qualifying Time Trial room settings - 10 minutes
Weather at race start ........? %
Time ................21:10
Time progression ......... 1 times
Weather changeability .......... ?
Surface water at start.........?%

Race Room settings
Weather settings for Race will be
Weather at race start ........?%
Time .........21:10
Time progression.........1 times
Weather changeability .....? times i suggest 2 times ? ..so it runs from wet to dry to wet or from dry to wet to dry
Surface water at start .........? %

Based on myweather: 90% clouds, close to zero rain on track in game it'll be:

Weather forecast for Round 8

Qualifying Time Trial room settings - 10 minutes
Weather at race start ........90 %
Time ................21:10
Time progression ......... 1 times
Weather changeability .......... 1
Surface water at start.........20%

Race Room settings

Weather settings for Race will be
Weather at race start ........90%
Time .........21:10
Time progression.........1 times
Weather changeability .....1 Times
Surface water at start .........20 %

This probably means in gt6 Weather that we'll get some last 30 mins of dry weather? Who knows :P

In any case it'll make for an interesting q session and first part of race.

Shall we start race from the grid after turn 3? going a whole lap seems overkill.

edit: correction, my bad

Yes, Pace car until race start at entry onto Mulsanne Straight is fine.

Been on track tty settings you will be lucky to get one timed lap in 10 minutes lol one lap fast guys takes 3:54 s but 90% on track you will not make it around in 10 minutes lol tested it?.Car sliding like on ice lol lol

Can any of the race testers try the weather changeability to 4? To see if it works better than before.
Just running some tests now as i am working alongside my psn.
I have just started a 90 min Race- { not driving it, just car sitting on the grid while race runs } with the weather as listed.
Start = not raining -track dries from 20% to 0% in 4 minutes.
After 50 minutes starts raining and continues until the end but track stays 0% throughout.

I will run another test later with changeability on 2 then again on 4

Sure, why not. I do not think any driver would straighten a chicane but having them on makes up for some extra safety cushion.
