Hi guys, I'm pretty new here. HamiltonR told me to sign up I'll need to check what cars are still available if any, but for testing sake I ran the Lexus SC430 (stupidly on fast tyre wear) on second flying lap managed a 1.57.5 on the mountain. The chicanes to my but in. Btw my names Dave

So Im guessing all pro drivers are on the wheel, if I was going to get one soon whats the best one to get?

Looks like i'll have to test with the HSV due to the Lexus being taken. I should of come to the forum first before randomly testing with Hamiltonr

And that fact puts me in the lower half of the "pros" lobby
The rest is of the time pr lap i fell short is due to my lack of skill lol

Sorry I left without saying bye, the missus turned the PS3 off because we had somewhere to go, I finally had the Audi sorted aswel. Was about to do a 58.5. Still I doubt I could do the whole race with it

As some of you know I am a 100 % disabled USAF Pilot ( combat injuries from SEA) and as a result my foot coordination with a normal set up (wheel attached to a table and pedals mounted to some cobbled together bunch of boxes or scrap lumber...and in my case an aluminum poker chip case ! Lol). The problem is that the angle From the seat to the pedals does not replicate what you would find in most properly designed road cars...much less most race cars. In years past I drove both lesser formula cars and then Production Sports Cars in the UK...all had either radically reclined or semi reclined driver position much like a modern F1 car (which is actually inclined in that the drivers feet are higher than his butt.). This allowed perfect alignment and greatly reduces the angle from hip to pedals.
As I continued to increase my schedule online the bad angle led to foot numbness which led to the inability to control brake and throttle properly...thus I went "cold mike" and looked for a solution. After a week of watching Sim Reviews I settled on the Virtual Racing System from Bob Earl Racing in California. As you can see the system closely replicates the formula cars which Bob Drove during his career. And the angles are infinitely adjustable as wheel holder..pedal placement...and seat all have either infinite adjustment or fore and aft adjustment. The cost is $299 with free shipping in US and an additional $49 for the shifter mount if you have a G27.
The difference is that unlike most systems this one copies what was actually used in race cars...real ones. Lol Case in point this one has a heel rest which allows you to leave your feet resting between braking applications...a great feature for longer races and virtual enduros.
