In the BST V8 Series we did this too and it worked fine.
You do have to test the exit to not loose soo much time, but it´s faar better than just enter the Track at one of the toughest Corners in GT5.

Sakery- Yea the corner is pretty crazy. I remember when i raced the track in grand prix legends i couldnt stop my brabham bt26 from spinning out and exploding.(Even with its ridiculous wing) I race a 1969 f1 championship in the game and even though its 10 years old it handles 24 drivers no problem....
But if the race doesnt go well today should we just postpone all series races until the update?

Due to WE the Servers are more "used" than during the Week.
90´s DTM worked fine (only one exception) => think positive and we´ll have a great Race 👍

Ok I will ask everyone to arrive early to test out a few different options. I dont think there is a practical way to turn off mic's or I would do this. Room quality will be set to lowest. We will start off in my lounge at 530pm gmt. If there is problems we can try a public room with fixed host options.

I'm fine with 5 30, we could do a mini 5 lap race and see what happens, if its still laggy I vote we cut numbers, primarily because we don't know when the update is coming and also if it will work.
Plus if this season is delayed much more I don't think I will be able to finish S3, as I will be moving away in September

Im sure gt5 will be fixed soon, or its gunna go tits up for pd.

Runfast- Thats what I am planning if tonight doesnt work out, I am trying to avoid telling 6 people they cant race with us anymore. You cool to be there 45 minutes before you normally do? 530pm gmt.
Rich- Same to you if you can make it early. I read the GT-500 and two others saying race was terrible last night. It may depend on factors we havent thought of, nobody knows.

This race should not be official because of the lags and/or bugs. The car was terrible heavy and no handling. lap times were slow 1:20s wt? 1:17s in Q! After pit even worse I was sliding like I had 200kg and comfort tires! Not good. Non drivable so I backed out sorry.

I agree, i was way ahead at the start which was unfair.. (even though i were srtting 1:18s) then spurgey was getting a massive boost! Catching me 1 second per sector! Wtf? I got disconnected the came back saw that his laps were 1 :14s!!
All of a sudden brett got a monster boost and he set a 1:12?????!!!!!!! Going from like 6/7th to 2nd just behind spurgey.
This online is rediculous untill a patch. Therefore i think we should postpone all races till then. If not i am going to be sitting out of races unless they are tests/practice.

Race Report:
At the start people were lagging & jumping through the first two turns. Did my best not to crash anybody. Hope all were ok.
In the opening laps spurgy came up behind me and wizzed past with a massive lag boost similar to when you have boost turned on in dirty Nascar. Ryhsfewlr passed me a while later doing what looked to be 450 kph through the tri-oval (I was doing 380 and he wizzed passed me and was a second ahead by turn 1.) He then proceeded to stop for a while and have lunch or something.
Later some people quit because of the lag, and the room slowly got better until it was like normal. When I pitted for the first time I accidentally only but 20 liters in only allowing me to run till lap 28 before pitting again for fuel. I put mediums on and roughed it to the finish (23 laps on one set). I paced myself evenly and spurgy for some reason slowed down several times (possibly sipping tea?).
On the last lap Pagey seemed to hit me out of the way and I crashed. But I got going again and it was ok. I finished in 2nd but than a minute later when Sakery crossed the line it put him in 1st with his finishing time of 1:08:53 which was 90 seconds off what Spurgy & I did.
Ryhs with his speed glitch couldn't seem to profit and he finished behind me in 3rd.
Who knows how many others were unfairly slowed down more than normal or sped up more than normal. I big mess.
I think the hilarious results at the end pretty much sum up the massive failure than is the lastest update.

Ok guys, I am sorry to announce that this race (although fun) will not result in any points etc. thanks for turning up 👍 and no one can say we didnt try.
I got a huge boost for a couple of laps anfter experiencing slow down in the first. Then things went back to normal.

Race report:
A mess.
I qualified first, and set off into the first corner, the frame rate was soooo slow, i crashed 6 times in the first few laps because of that and the lag. Up untill lap 11 i was 1 second a sector slower than the lead car, and I couldnt pull away from ETID who i was 3 seconds faster than in quali. In a practice race i race i was averaging 1.15s, but i couldnt get faster than 1.17 in the first stint.
I came out after i pit in 12th place and was really close to quiting.
I carried on and in the next 2 stints i took 30 seconds out of the lead car as the frame rate had restored because fewer people were in the room.
Not much to say now apart from on the last stint i was a lot faster than the lead cars. I caught first place and the rules say i was allowed to pass. I was around 1.5 seconds a lap faster but the lead car wouldnt let me go.
I eventually got past after being held up for 4 laps, If i hadnt been held up here i would have got an extra place as i finished 6 seconds behind sakery.
But i the span out, I was lapped by first and second place.
I caught up to second place again with ease. And again he would not let me go, holding me up for a few more laps. This got me really quite annoyed as i was plainly faster and there is nothing in the rules about trying to pass as it wasnt on the same lap as he lapped me. I made a move and caught mustards back end, like i said i was frustrated.
If the lag had been fine i could have won this race, possibly by a very big margin. Or at the very least in second.
And if the incidents in the last stint had not happened i would have got 4th.

I had no problems. But I knew something wasn´t right, due to me being 3rd after a few laps.
Brett got some major boost I was in his draft at 410kph and he was going away from me

Yes my first 21 laps where RH´s and than 15 laps per RM stint.
1:19´s with RH and 1:18´s with RM´s.
=> I think I got a 0.5-0.8 second Boost (I did a 1:18.9xx with RM´s during my tests but my best Time was far in the race => more Track knowledge)
