The FIA-GT1 Omega race last night had 8 people. It SEEMED to work perfectly apart from the starting order being reversed (I started last after qualifying 1st.)

I'm not sure if its the sheer number or the speed of the FGTs that causes all the bugs. It could be a little of both but certainly the game still has bugs even with slower cars.

I think the speed of the FGT would make it worse, just frame rate (monaco gives the PS3 more to do graphics wise too).
It is affecting a lot of people, I think if we do have 2 divisions it should be 10 in each with a 10 race season. It will mean more work though unless we have a different person running it.

For S3 two divisions might work out. I want to keep racing though for S2 seeing as how I'm 3rd in points. :sly:

If you can get more signed up a 2nd division would work fine. You only have 18 on the list now, you'd need 20 or 22 perhaps.

But>>> The 2nd division cannot be based on seniority. You HAVE to base it on ability. ie (top 5 in points get auto entry to Div 1, fastest time trial times fill remaining spots). Otherwise its not justifiable. This is not how big series run it. e.g. (world super GT, FIA Omega, etc)

This was never in doubt
The idea of seniority was put forward for the remainder of S2

If it comes down to it for S2 remainder I would probably select the top 3 drivers then base the rest on seniority. If there is to be 2 divisions in S3 it would be based on rankings.....or I would group together 10-12 drivers based on seniority and tell the rest to form a seperate event under a glorious new leader 👍

6 mbps on wireless, ill try wired in a bit. Its not the connection though Etid, its something they did in spec 2.02 👎

I reckon the wire will increase mine especially stability. Its enough anyway, is yours wired spurgey?

Distance doesnt make a difference unfortunately, you just have a bad connection :D and no its wireless, plus theres 2 laptops(one on standby) and my PS3 on in the house, as well as our main computer, so the connections a bit stretched lol.

I would like everyone to report their findings after taking the test that Etid posted please. Is there any chance of you 'wiring up' for our races spurgey? Or is the hub in another room? Oh and I confiscate all laptops from the house when racing online

I can't do a wired because my router is down stairs, I would have to do a wired connection through the plug sockets with a DLAN home plug.

I'll post mine since I'm racing with you guys in the DTM (there was so much lag last night). The PS3 has a speed test under "network settings", and I get 3.4 to 3.7 Mbps download speed and 350 to 370 kbps upload speed. My laptop has a slower download speed than my PS3 (it's a slow old laptop), so using the link would give me a worse result.

All my speeds are wireless. To be wired, I'd need a cable long enough to reach from the front door (router is right near it) to the other side of the living room, up the stairs, across the landing, and into my room onto my desk. I'd also need a less clumsy mum, as she'd definitely trip over it and pull it out at least twice while I'm in important races.:dunce: (or I'd have to do what Etid posted above)

The DLAN homeplugs are expensive, for decent ones you can get 2 plugs for about 40-70 pound. But I'm not sure how reliable the connection is. My uncle uses these but always seems to have poor connection when playing online.

Etid- Peoplelaughed at me when I suggested that the other night thinking I was winding them up! You get 2 free with a BT digibox. Just on the offchance anyone has one of them 💡

Joe, just plug your router in next to your playstation and order the rest of your family to go wireless, if they complain just stand next to the router, puff your chest out and growl until they give up!

I found that a wired connection boosts it by 3mbps, wireless i was averaging 5.1, but wired i averaged 8.3mbps :)

I would if the insurance group wasnt 15!!! Thats ridiculous  That punto is a group six and it will cost around £2500 per year for insurance. So you can imagine the quote i would get on that, possibly around £15000, most companies wouldnt even insure me

Pagey, depends on how much money you have, Ill probably be looking at cars below £2000, like an 02 Seat Ibiza or something, but I have to wait till next July :( But the car looks awesome, I think you should get it :)

Under £2000 is the place to start :) Your first car is meant to be a bit of a banger, mine certainly is  its all part of the experience
