PS Las Vegas to be followed by Monaco. Does Kaz like casinos or something?

That means Macau could be the next stop for the events....can't wait.

Location in Monaco would mean using the according GP circuit.
Using in the final a track where overtaking is not possible wouldn't be the smartest move I guess.
They could always use the GT3 version with double the width! -_-

Really?! Monaco? I imagine there isn't THAT much of target audience for a live event don't you think? I mean hotel prices would be over the top for me at least... I am kind of disappointed by that location.

I’m going to assume the world final won’t be open to the public anyway.

I'm currently waiting at LaGuardia airport to fly to Vegas... Dunno why I'm going there? ;)

Also I have friends who live in Monaco, hung with F1 drivers, past and present, and their family members and Ive spent a lot of time on yachts.

I'm also completely useless at the whole humble brag thing :lol:

"Japanese gamer Ryota Kokubun won the Asia final held in Tokyo while German Mikail Hizal was victorious in the Europe final in Madrid. The winner of the American final this week in Las Vegas will join the Japanese and German winners in the world final in Monaco in mid-November. That world champion will not only be awarded a specially designed trophy, that recreates the whimsical “Unique Forms of Continuity in Space” statue of Italian sculptor Umberto Boccioni, but he will also receive a driver’s contract to race in the real world."

The winner get racing contracts race in the real world. If you winning the world championship. After reading the forbe articles I just notice this.

My tuxedo might be making an appearance somewhere .

Lets get real though for a second with the world finals. Anyone who wins the entire event or even makes the podium is going to need some insane luck (you needed luck to get there) irrespective of speed. Whether it's the right combos, the right rig, the right time, the right heat you name it you'll need luck so just enjoy the world finals and the experience! If there's another season expect the competition to double in terms of competitors as this tournament is definitely showing off eSports for racing at its peak!

I also anticipate a few professional drivers making an appearance (No idea whether that will happen either, just a guess), manufacturers sending representatives and I wouldn't be surprised if some manufacturers have seen the events and are maybe looking to sign drivers... We all could witness the future developing whether you're watching the stream or are there, it could be the start of something very special for racing. I honestly believe it's the future (As I said in my last livestream).

I honestly believe Lewis Hamilton will be there, and after the recent tweets from Kaz talking about Lewis being part of the team i'm 99% sure he will be there.I also expect more reference laps, that Hamilton section from Brand Central is pretty empty right now.

Here some thoughts

I didn't follow the GT academy events/ live events in the past. What I know is, there wasn't this DR-system existing like now, which, after all, represents the racing skill of a player very accurate. Therefore, with all the FIA seasons at home -even with the disconnects and so on- the truely very best players have made it to the regional events.
I am not aware of a significant amount of superfast players, who didn't make it there due to disconnections or other unfair things (yes, we know, my Brits friends, @mclarenLB especially, its unfair that you have just to many fast players 👍).

@Tidgney, yes, the events had the many discussed issues which lead to a mentionable luck- factor. But after all, all the big names ended in the front places, like yourself. The only very-top driver what is in my mind right now who didn't made it to the WF in Nations is @ZokyCRO, but it wasn't bad luck, he said that he just couldn't nail the both qualification laps (but good that he is there in Manufacturers).

What I want to say is, the world champion in 2018 will be truely the world champion. Since the events got also better by lowering the luck- factor from time to time, there is no way that a even-slightly-not-very-supertop skilled driver will get the trophy.

An another point, @Tidgney, I am sorry but I don't want you to win.

Why?

Simple answer, if you win and get a contract as a real driver, you cannot live- stream anymore !!! Who will we watch then ?!?!?! You cannot do this to us !!! :D:lol::lol::lol:

Tell that to Nicki Thiim. He streams iRacing or PUBG almost every day.
