I took a picture of Kaz taking the picture on the right. Sadly my day wandering around, soaking up the atmosphere of the preparations, getting a selfie with Kaz (and Jimmy Broadbent ) and trying out the T-GT has come to an end :guilty::guilty:

Although I did get some juicy insider information about some things that are coming to GTS. Amazing to what you can find out when you get chatty with the right people. And no, I'm not telling :lol::lol:
Inbefore your inbox gets spammed with messages like: "hey old friend!"

Most important question for me is will Kart Space be added in a future update?:eek::eek:

Do any of the competitors know why the Asia and EMEA reasons got two days of racing and the Americas region only gets one? I'm not for certain on the dates, but based on the OP in this thread it looks like tomorrow is the only day of racing?

Thanks!
It’s pretty unfair that several nations get so much more time in these settings, getting accustomed to the surroundings, responsibilities, pressures etc.
It’s a big advantage.

I was curious why I was the only one concerned that the America’s got shafted on event time/stream time vs. the other regions? Not sure if thevtrack time is the same amount of time, and just stuffed into one day vs. two. Glad someone else thought it was odd too. LOL

The guys there are all bad asses, I think they’ll adapt to the surroundings quickly, but in my opinion there should be a consistent format with all 3 regions with respect to schedule and streaming the event.

On a side note, good luck to all there, especially the controller guys, you all are in a league of your own with your speed and using a controller. It’s truly mind blowing.

Heading over to the racing spot here soon. Tensions are... Nice! It's really cool, we're all super happy to just be here and getting to race each other.

This is just the beginning. We're like the Mercury program for E motorsport! Or like that dog Laika that went to space!

What venue is that? Looks so dark and confusing in the pictures. ^^

Marquee (a nightclub). From what I gather the event was supposed to actually held at SEMA, but the SEMA organisers basically didn't want to have an auditorium being built, then dismantled, when the public are in the show halls; SEMA is held over two weeks and Sony/PD probably also didn't want to pay for the space and additional costs of keeping stuff thats not being used in place for two weeks, simply because SEMA have a no build/dismantling during show policy. Having witnessed first hand what goes into the event it's certainly not something that can be built/dismantled completely in one night when there's no public about. Hence why it's being held in Marquee... Plus they're already in a club for the after party  :lol:

"EXCLUSIVE: DJShadesUK says Moon Rover Buggy is coming to GT Sport together with the Moon as a track for the FIA Races"

It was really great meeting and chatting with you and @TRC_Stagger. Absolute best of luck to the both of you (but c'mon Stagger, show'em what the Gr.3 WRX is really made of!)

That won't be happening; nobody is allowed to use controllers now (there were apparently complaints from sponsors and partners as real cars don't get driven with controllers). I'm not sure if any of the controller users from the Asia regional finals made it through to the World finals, so that potential "issue" may be moot at this point.

None of them got close to qualifying either in their Block or the Repechage, which was to be expected anyway given their low rank compared to the Akagi's of that region. If I could win a World Tour event on my first outing with a wheel (on GT Sport) they have no excuse anyway ;)

I've been told (unconfirmed tale) that it wasn't actually mthomas's first outing with a wheel and that he's been playing us all like a damn fiddle . Stop trying to make me feel even worse than I already felt during that practice day from hell!

Yep. The Block and Repechage races have already happened earlier.....Top 10 are known, and we don't know what happened in those races

Why was this not streamed? No idea. Why has this Americas event been so purely announced? No idea.

This is pretty upsetting. Not only was I looking forward to 2 days of live events, but it's more intriguing for me to watch when I can see the guys I actually race against in my region. I wonder what the reasoning is.

Hopefully they broadcast what happened to me in my race. I was fighting somehow for 7th place after getting hit off track in turn 1 lap 1and then got pushed wide because a guy wanted to go 3 wide on spoon...

I didn't have too much expectations going thru the block race, but when you manage to recover from someone else's mistake and then a guy thats already qualified to the world finals on manufacturers destroy your chance of going to the repechage races that were a complete lottery, literally everyone could have won that race, the frustration and disappointment kicks in hard.

I can not believe the guy wasn't penalized. Lost all respect for him.

Isn't it frustrating getting binned off by someone in a Live Event where they'll never show it so it makes you look like you screwed up to everyone watching?

That is already one good thing .....common we are going for realism not ?
Secondly , if it was for me only cockpit view like in real life , you are not sitting in bumper or behind your car view but you sit in the car .
Any way good luck to the fast drivers and hope it may be clean .

A guy in my country suggesting only cockpit view ( with proper FOV ) in local GTS tournament and all 'gamers' felt unease with his suggestions.

Those gamers want a total divide from game and reality , so you can't compare :D

PlayStation’s YouTube:

So no one watches the Semi Finals but more will watch the Final if it's on the main YouTube. Encouraging for the Worlds that they're starting to use the official PlayStation channels 👍

In real life you can look around and have proper FoV, cockpit view in game is a handicap so why force people to use it? Last time I checked this wasn't 'real life' racing either
