In real life you can look around and have proper FoV, cockpit view in game is a handicap so why force people to use it? Last time I checked this wasn't 'real life' racing either

90% of the cars with cockpit view in GT Sport are fine but I understand if you wanna go faster and win you must cheat whit bumper cam view , that is sadly the way to go in this race game .

today I learned that using a designed feature is cheating

If there was more customisation of POV, seat position, and also, if GT Sport was only targetting simracers and not a game which also tries to cater for casual players, then maybe cockpit enforced would make sense. But this isn't iRacing.

I would totally disagree, a champion has complete respect for rules, they will run as close to the line to breaking rules as possible, but crossing the line will be avoided.

I don't think the finalists care if you think they are 'cheaters' for using something other than cockpit camera in a game with limited POV customisation options, plus it is a game catering to everyone and not just people with wheels and hardcore rigs.

I think there's a Japanese player who did a dangerous blocking after serving a penalty on Asia Final ( gr1 fuji race ) and HK driver did a brake check on suzuka u turn at n500 race.

Asia Final was full of dirty moves

There were penalties handed out then though, Makozi and Holl must have picked up about 4 in each race . It was the European final they started dropping the ball and quite a few dodgy moves started being ignored for 'the show'.

Nice bit of scrub mentality there. You can keep your self imposed 'rules' as you wish but why does it matter so much to you what views other people use? It's not like the car gets a +5% power boost (I don't even use bumper btw)

It doesn't matter, it's up to the driver's quality in the end. People who turned into professional drivers used mostly the normal view anyway.

Divebomb, almost putting an opponent (who was leading the race and dropped down to 4th) on the barrier/grass = 1 second.

Blocking on a straight, no danger, just dirty = 3.7 sec penalty.

The 3.7 second penalty was for corner cutting. They didn't even investigate the clearly illegal blocking.

For me its very hard to say from just the tv- camera view, which can only show parts of the field at a time, if the event was cleanier or dirtier then the previous ones. But for sure there was intense fighting, maybe MCqueen pushed it partially to far.

What I missed was smart racing. It looked like many drivers took every opportunity to get into clinch with someone instead of trying to reach the leaders and/ or escape the followers together. @LLOYDZELITE69 is a good example for how to do it well as he showed in the final Interlagos race when he let Carrazza pass.

Congrats to the outstanding performance of @Igor Fraga und also glad to see @Doodle on the podium as well, both very symphatic and humble guys!

I am really thrilled that all the 3 regional champions and the other strong names will come together in the WF. I really do hope very much that the organizers will put the luck- factor as low as possible and don't raise it artifically to "inrease the thrill" (like Bernie Ecclestone once seriously suggested to put weights into Schumachers car)

I really enjoyed the event. Being there in person is an exciting experience for sure. The level of driving is pretty beyond belief as well, I was seriously impreased to see how quick they all were.

I'm currently hoping the BoP update next week is gonna put some other cars back in contention, the Ferrari, Dodge and Chevrolet all received pretty unnecessary nerfs within the last couple months which made them all... average or below

As someone new to GT, a game I never thought I would like, I must admit I have absolutely loved these races. The skill levels on show in all 3 are simply astounding to someone of limited ability like myself.

I hope that however the finals are planned to work, all 30 finalists are involved throughout - non of this straight out if you have a bad race one.
A 15 player B final as prelude to the final event.

Longer races, single make, with minimal tire and fuel wear. These guys are the best drivers in the game, let us admire their driving.

Man the Venue change threw them off,the event wasn't terrible but disappointing coming off the Madrid Regional Final,i know SEMA has a good reason for their rules but they should make a exception for Esport events,a GTS event on the level of Madrid would be very good for SEMA.

I thought they were soft in Madrid but for the sake of the entertainment and we still had clean races,but in the Americas Final they just gave up,lots of things about this event was weird.Changing the venue messed up alot of things.

I expect harsh penalties at Monaco,it's the world final the stewards will be awake there........i hope.
