Not sure yet joe, took me 3hours to set the cars up to the regs lastnight lol, I will do a test/practice this evening and let you know, thanks.

Will there be any practice lobbys open on Friday evening (gmt) if so send me a FR and I will join whoevers running it. PSN = richyboy2mil

If any of you guys are on I'll probably either be in mine or joes lounge for some practice!

Could anyone give me a rough idea on which lap would be best to pit on, having trouble with strategy!!

Since the race length is 66+1pace laps, it would make sense to run either a 2 stop, pitting lap 23 and lap 45; or a 3 stop, pitting lap 18, 35, and 51. From what I've guestimated, I'll need to take on 45 units of fuel and since you can only take on 17 units in the time it takes to change tyres I think the quickest strategy for me will be 3 stops.
The only other twist that would affect strategy is how far off the pace I fall as the stint goes on (if the time lost is almost equivalent to a stop), in which case it might be worth running 4 stops, but obviously it depends on how hard I need to push.

I think I ran 4 stops at Monza, the ford chewed through the tyres 👎

Willfred is a consistent solid racer from the Gmt side of the time zone. Also active on the treads he'll show you the ropes! 👍

Hey joe, I'm going to be running the Playstation Audi for this round! Just letting you know for the OP update!

Edit: in the lounge now

Is it only racing soft tyres we can use yeah, or is tyre selection open to any tyres?. Also is there a pit window we have to pit, or only allowed so many pitstops during the race?

Lol you had it coming, you've been around for a awhile now. Consistently at that! Ill re update the op before I head off to work guys. I'm glad the tread is really taking off now. I've been watching Rolex and any other endurance races like Blancpain and I'm getting very excited over this series potential. I ultimately want to race for dare I say "prize's worth cash" in the future if GTPlanet allows that hopefully. I'm sure we can kick something off come season 2. Btw I don't plan on abandoning any of my series no time soon. That's why I sot out the most prestigious races possible. Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this happen. Like F1 I will keep developing thru out the year to bring us the most premiere racing possible, on one of the best looking op's out there! 👍

Yes only soft tires for all normal circuits. Even tho the laps are high and the tires are soft we have the races regulated to a 3 stop vs 2 stop, with some drivers still needing a 4 stop to complete them on. If you want to go for a 3 stop then you have to stretch your tires to Lap 17, and if you are going for the 2 stopper then you need to make it to Lap 22. I have clocked the 2 stopper vs 3 stopper and both strategies are very strong when it comes to track positioning. Of course the 2 stopper will take more fuel per stop then the 3 stop. This will be the Mazda question of the day from the drivers which stop to run?!,..

Put me down under the Z, Joe. Thats my goto car and will probably run it for the rest of the season.

Cool, i'll probably be 4 stopping as im fairly hard on tyres and I don't like running on worn tyres to much, but I can stretch the stints out if needed, cheers 👍

Don't worry 4 stopper gains track position but you will have to hold it. No mistakes for the 4 stopper, but hey your on fresh rubber! I'll be tracking your performance for future data reports'

News Update:

IThere's a strong chance that because of the scheduling for the live Irl events we probably will bump up the 24hrs Le Mans & 24hrs of Nurburgring events sooner in the queue, and push back the Indy 500 after the 24hrs events and race the Indy 500 as the Indy 400 which will be closer to the Irl Indy 400 race'

Mind if I join you guys?

Joe, I want to switch to the XJ220. I can maintain consistent 1.21.*** laps

Did a few dozen laps in my own lounge this morning. Slowest lap was 1.22.*** Best lap was 1.21.095 :)

Do you think I'll be able to keep up with all of you?

I got off about 8 hours ago sorry I was that tired I didn't get to say I was off!

Sounds like you and I will be relatively neck and neck!! That's almost exactly what I was doing except every now an then I dropped in a 1:20.8 somehow!
I managed to get my tyres out to 18 laps at basically full race pace in the Audi so I was think of maybe going for 2 stops, but might play it safe with 3

The Audi is so much more efficient than the ford, unbelievable!

I may run the toyota Joe, for field diversity,

No prob I'll sign you up 👍

Yea were all hitting 1'21's I only hit 1'20's on a perfect lap, low fuel, or a draft pull around this place.

Yeah. In the XJ I was getting 19-20 laps before I needed a tyre change. Towards the end though it was effecting my lap times. I didnt get a single 1.21after every 14-15 laps.

Im starting to really enjoy this :) I might actually have a chance. Lol

Yeah that's basically what I was getting as well, I got to lap 15 and then started taking it a bit easier, dropped a second and a bit off my lap times but extended the tyre life

These cars handle like pigs when the tyres are under half and you try to push in any way
I might drop my LSD settings a little so that it doesn't kick out at all out of corners to same a bit more when it gets low!

I should really do some practice for this... whoops!

Yep!

I've found up until lap 13, tyres are pretty good. Petrol is fine. Obviously. I can maintain a 1.21.*** laptime. But Then I start loosing time. And more than I'd like. It's very frustrating. But atleast I can keep pace with most of the other racers :D

Figured I'll pit 3 times. once for petrol (on the second pit) and all 3 times for tyres...

Does that sound about right?

Im gonna use the BMW M3 GTR joe, got some very consistant lap times in that car, fastest lap was a 1.21.1xx not the fastest over 1 lap but very close lap times lap after lap and the car feels well balanced with my DFGT, and the tyre deg seemed very good in the beamer as well 👍:)👍

On second thought, sticking to the Ford GT, its not faster then the Supra tune I have, but far more stable, and I can't abandon Plux for new toy's,
