Tyson is like Jarno Trulli, Mighty quick when he is on the ball and focused, I'm loving the RX-8 on Monza, Was within 1.5 seconds of my fastest time 26 laps in to a stint, fuel runs out at the 29 lap mark though, I don't think your fuel worries will be an issue here, the RX-8 was the kindest of all the user's, the Ford GT was the thirstiest,

Dave, are you able to do 26 laps in racing softs????

I'm still trying to sweet talk my team mate to running the Citroen's GT's. Of course he's faster and the Viper's and me in the Citroen. Well at least for now, I know he's going to find speed.

We are definately in the Citroen. The choice between it and the Viper in the rain, I go with Citroen. The Viper in the rain isn't fun.

Monza isn't a track that is hard on tyres as there aren't many corners which require high lateral grip and so the tyres aren't under much strain too often... they only experience high lateral loads. Also, the cars aren't running much downforce at Monza

I tested for fuel consumption, so in saying.... I'm not saying!:lol:

Come race the Ford with me!!!

Um, maybe not in this race, like I said, potentially in the GT3 series if that developes fruit,

I can't imagine saying to my friends or family, "Its raining, Lets take the citroen, Not the viper" Dems fightin words

I also think that some cars may be able to one stop here, well if people know how to drive them accordingly, lifting off, coasting, utilizing the draft etc, that is the best way to save tires,

If it is raining heavily there are 2 cars, If driven correctly could do the entire race without stopping, Neither are powered by rotary engines,

Makes me proud to say I think we are offically at a pack grid sign up wise for this upcoming main event! I have to take an offical count tonight when I get home but I think sign ups will be closed. Better get tons of practice in. 👍

Tyvm Drivers,..

You're right Dave, the Viper isn't too bad in the rain with a good setup, it's just got some torque. Then again, the Citroen has some kick too. :)

Yea I ripping off the turbo's and running all motor to bring these torque numbers down. Tire wear baby!!! :sly:👍

Just a clarification please, are turbos allowed or not?

Just hitted 1.45.4xx in the R8

To answer your question, yes and no. Turbo's or engine stage 3 is stated for certain cars. Some cars state no upgrades. Some cars needed a boost. Seth did a pretty good job of balancing them. 👍

Just to clarify that I'm not yelling. I put some words in bold so it is seen. :)

Stage 3 eng only. 👍

I added some downforce and ran a 44'8xx, but I really like the speed of my car in a pack of other drivers with my low downforce # so I may go for the slower lap time but faster mph car. I can draft before parabolica and hold off drivers going into the 1st chicane. Hmmm decisions, decisions!

-Op is updated with provisional over points for next week event, plz check it out! 👍

5 citroens?

O I see I copied the original drivers from the other op. I actually don't know what car Bazzer is driving I was figuring he was going to try out the Z06 RM. I'll re check driver/chassis to make sure were not breaking reg's.

I also agree, we have so many cars to choose from, it would be better to have a better selection :)

We still need to add Stealth McClaren, an Possibly the Gillet Vertigo. The Gillet has GT3 DF (35/60), but is weighing in at 980kg so even at full ballast it would be under 1200kg. I'm sure we could make it work tho! Also we don't have any Toyota's so I was thinking of adding the IS-F to the grid to represent Lexus/Toyota. Anyways so I'll update the op with no satellite teams then. But what about the 2 sets of Vipers and 2 sets of Audi's and the 2 sets of the Fords, etc?,...

Ah Joe... Your gillet has 200kg ballast on it already  It weighs 780kg naturally,

If your looking for toyota/ Lexus maybe the BANDAI SGT500? or the Supra's?

Personally I wouldn't go near the big mac, its maximum weight would be 1150kg, far to light, even the merc and Nissan GT-1 cars are too light,

An over looked car might be the Subaru STC and FTO STC, RX-7 TC,

I thought about the Rx-7 TC but its called a touring car and were racing GT's not to mention we have 2 Mazda's on grid already. There's that big a** TVR Speed 12 that clearly has a GT1 package on it but it would have to be pp regulated since the rear downforce is in like the 80's are something like that.

Weather will start dry correct? also what will changability be set too?

Were actually going to run the none time changed track to insure there won't be a change of weather to properly mock the real life race. After our GT5 goof in Jstc I've learned my lesson trusting PD!

I wouldn't worry about rear downforce, as long as it doesn't have 60 point's on the nose,

Hey guys over looking the 2 sets of cars issue, I can't tell guys that have been practicing with their chassis to find another car with just a few days to go, so the next 300km race we do we will use th 1 car set rule from there on out. I'm going to leave this op up and running with the next 300km race listed on the main page. I believe the next mock race on calender that GT5 has would be mocking ALMS at Mazda Raceway, and then Monaco afterwards. For Monaco I wasn't sure if we should run these GT cars are do GP2, but depending on the feedback I probably could run both. 👍

That's fair joe, 👍 I'm still unsure which one I will use, I dare say I could be the only one in a Mazda RX-8

EDIT: Confirm my entry in the Ford GT Spec II Test car, I can't get the ultimate lap from it but its far more stable for me, Can always try hang on with draft,

ALSO, Is it still happening in the usual time slot on Sunday or is it brought forward a day? The count down timer for me says Saturday,
