Already lots of videos up on YouTube showing some of the sweet skill moves.

Looking much more realistic than FIFA Street 3 (which was awful.)

i'll give the demo a go, only fifa street i particularly enjoyed was the first. so i hope this turns out decent.
i like the more realistic feel and look to it, plus proper futsal courts to. looks promising. :)

I am really looking forward to this.

Loved the 1st game, the 2nd was ok, but the 3rd was really bad.

Now, the 4th looks very promising and i've pre-ordered the steelbook edition. :dopey:

Come on 15th march!!! :D

I liked the Fifa series but stopped buying them after '11 as I didn't play them with my friends as much on '11 as I had on '10 and the game itself wasn't much fun for me.

After playing the demo though this is much closer to the kind of football I enjoy and is a lot of fun. I think I'll be getting this, the only downside is the lack of adjustment when it comes to the settings but I think that is just for the demo.

I'd recommend this, even if you don't like football it's quite the blast to play and seems a lot more casual than the normal Fifa series.

My Thoughts on the Demo

I am a big fan of the street ball control it allows us to finally have near total control over the ball, and I can see a modified form of it being introduced into the main series soon.

I am finding that the skill moves are relatively hard to pull off, however I am mostly using street ball control and using that to beat players.

I think the game is set up to make it quite easy to look "good", some people might think that this is bad and should be the reserve of the "top players", I however believe that this helps to give it more casual pick and play feel, which should be good for offline multiplayer.

However, with the limited scope of the demo it is hard to fully judge the game we only have one game mode and have to play on the easiest setting.

After playing the demo for a few matches, im interested in how the whole world tour mode works.

I also fired up my PS2 with the original Fifa Street (again), and I must say the fun factor is bigger in the original one then the demo, but will have to play the full game first before I conclude anything. ;)

After I tried the demo I just had the feeling that I need more! I'm definately getting this game, it's extremely fun to play the game and there's a huge number of teams compared to the last FIFA Street games they did.

If you haven't seen it, the squads can be seen here. No big players missing, although I, as a Danish Liverpool fan, am missing Daniel Agger. It's some decent rosters the teams have and should be more than enough to have some fun custom teams.

I wonder which demo that is, because I definately haven't got an opportunity to play online.

Besides, I think this game is much better offline than online. I remember FIFA Street 3 online. Damn, worst piece of s*** online and there was NO customization or career mode like the World Tour. This time, however, there's a World Tour mode with lots of customization, so I think it's going to be good.

That guy is seriously pessimistic, but I agree with him. From playing the demo I also thought that online could be a disaster. Air beats are much more effective than anything else and defence is going to be a nightmare.

That guy has a series of articles on that website most of them are about the main series and he is even more pessimistic about that, yet most of his comments are fair.

Got my copy in the mail last night, but didn't have time to put it in until later tonight. (At work yet)

Looking forward to use my steelbook copy. :dopey:

Yeah, don't buy this. Just don't.

There's a reason why the demo was only able to be played on easy mode. When you fire up the full game and put it on hard you will soon reason (when you reach tournaments) that the AI develops this unmatchable ability to super glue the ball to its players feet.

It becomes near impossible to get within 1 foot of the ball as for some reason your player will not move any closer than this to try and challenge for the ball unless you sprint directly at the player. In the event the miraculous does happen and you do challenge for the ball, one of three things will happen, you will either:

1. Mysteriously just fall over for no apparent reason and the opponent will continue un-phased by your actions (usually then scoring a goal)

2. Your player will successfully get the ball (wow!) and then the opponent will immediately spin towards the ball and somehow regain it leaving you thinking "how did he spin that fast?"

3. Both players will fall over and another player will collect the ball.

Occasionally a magical fourth event happens where you do actually get the ball and manage to maintain control of it! However this is rare.

Once you have the ball the battle is however far from over as the skill moves you are supposed to use to make it past the opponents are 90% of the time useless with the exception of the chip moves where you will normally manage to 'skill' the player. Usually however all that happens is when you meet an opponent a clumsy scene happens and you are left without the ball.

Trying to score is just as bad as it seems the opponent goal keeper is more than 5 times the match for your own and will save anything aside from perhaps a comet. Your keeper however will make even the worst of your mates look like a prime pick for his replacement as he is worse than useless. Normally he just makes failed dives and misses playground style shots.

All this makes for a frankly 🤬 experience offline, play the tournaments online though and you will go up against opponents playing to the same rules as you are and will have vastly increased chances of winning!

In short, the AI sucks and as you increase the difficulty the AI remains the same apart from its ability to somehow glue the ball to its shoes and invent a 'safe' halo around itself preventing you from tackling it.

I was looking forward to this game, but as soon as people who had the early release reported back, I could see EA screwing this up.

I think the most important thing to mention is that in online you will only be able to use the team you use in World Tour. So basically, all the licensed teams are useless. Add that you can only play 6v6, 5v5 and Futsal, tricks are to no use. Panna, last man standing, freestyle - gone from online play.
That's silly.

I'll pick it up when it get's cheap (won't be too long, I guess) and have some fun with it. I've learned my lesson from Dirt 3 and other titles: Don't pre-order, trailers, demos etc only exist to trick you.
