Whenever I get the lead, I go ahead and push all I can. Since I'm usually the only one in the room that can hit 2:04s, a spin doesn't cost me anything. It's more like F1 at Midfield. Anything lower than a 2nd row start and you've got a procession rather than a race. I think it's the first tuned quick match I don't bother with.
I hit a 4.7 and 4.8 this morning (TT-R) in two races without drafting. I'm trying to get into the mindset of attacking the track with time trial risks instead of being cautious and it seems to be paying off as I made a couple of small mistakes and left a bit of time out there. I've always been a bit scared of curbs but I guess if I want to go quicker, I've got to learn that I can use some of them for a bit of extra track width. Proving hard to break my cautious habit with all the extra mistakes but I'm getting there.
I also got a 2.04.58 when a similar pace guy came in that I got a tow off but I've never counted drafted lap times before. If my PB had a couple of mistakes in it though, I should be able to match it without a draft.
No surprise. Immortal's only one of the fastest GT players in the world. He's always been 1~1.5 seconds faster than my best times in past GT Academy sessions so I'm certain he can do a 2:03.I had to go "players met" to check, it was TRL_IMMORTAL. He dominated too 👍
Edit: Well, right after I typed that, I had someone run a 2:03.659 in the Opal! Was it legit? Can't say for certain but made too many unforced errors trying to match that pace.
I did whittle my best time down to a 2:04.253 in the A4. I may put up that lap in a video at some point. Better S1 and S3 times and maybe, just maybe I can nab an 03.
