Final Quick Match Races 2-7-18

That's ok until it's an overcast day. I've never had one in this QM but in other events it can happen. I use the first lamp-post after the barrier changes colour on the right. It's a bit before the shadow but better safe than sorry.

Point taken @StirlingMoose but it's always sunny there, as it's the place where everything, including the sun wants to be! Hehehehe ;)

Cheers

You're SEVYTRON!
Shht ! don’t say it so loud :)
I hope to stay in your guilde, I work to be as quick as all of you here and don’t want to be canceled
I used the same (mirial) tune f
I’ve try a lot of mirial, kim or coryclifford variations tunes, and the values you gave me confirm I was not wrong in my tune approach, but still with a rear traction issue difficult for me to handle:cool:
I know I’m a little bit rude with Megane, with the pad in fact :irked:
The only solution I see it’s to optimize the gearbox to gain in confidence. By doing so, I generally take a smooth driving that is most in my standard behavior.

I use the blue wall and light post and its shadow for turn 1 and the change in grass shape on the left for the esses. The writing on the wall was harder for me to spot correctly than the grass and dirt on the other side of the track.

Sorry people... it's not an overhead wire, it's the shadow of the lamp post I was referring to. It is almost equal to the second last balcony's edge, and is the shadow of the fourth last pole on the home straight.

As stated before, it NEVER moves. Hope it helps someone, as I've been using it forever, and it never fails... unless I fail to brake properly. ;)

Cheers

It worked for me nicely and made the corner a lot less complicated. Slight margin for error if you brake anywhere around there too.👍

Sorry for blurting it out but you should know the advantage of us knowing who's who in this thread will earn a couple more centimeters of track room for you. It was for your benefit and you could even call it your "coming out of the closet" moment.

I've seen you on your good days... The right cars and tracks, you can compete with any of us.👍

In the 2:07's woohoo, thanks a bunch chaps for the tune, I tweaked it a little for my driving style with a pad & I'm pretty consistent with low 2:08's to mid 2:07's, it's still a little unstable under braking but that's probably more me than the tune (heavy fingers).
Massive thanks chaps

R.I.P. Mazda Roadster - I love you !
R.I.P. Renault Megane - I've learnt to love you !
See you in your next lives maybe ... 101817
:gtpflag:

Can anyone give a short description of the new batch ( which car class on which track ) ?
I'm far from home atm ...
Here ya go (please excuse my crap photography:embarrassed:)

Top right is at Roma

Not much to get excited about there, seeing as we had the exact same batch not that long ago.

Rally cars again then I suppose. Not that interested in the racing but the Pug's good fun once you cook its tires. None of that namby pamby running off into the distance in the Evo super rally car.

Bollocks.... I've only just got to grips with the the bloody Renault :shakefist:

Gentlemen,

congrats and thanks to all of you who have raced Mt. Panorama ( for the last time :( ) yesterday night.
The "Updated Quick Match Races"-crew again was a force of its own  !
Unless you had to race behind @Mwerte whose car was lagging massively :yuck::lol: ( guess you had a hard time regarding track grip m8 :D )
it's been a great pleasure.

Cheers.

namby pamby [store]

As for the new events I'll probably go with the "Coming soon"-event ... looks promising  !

Lap times at Tokyo ?

2 races at Cape Ring with the Hyundai, 2 with the white Lancer.
High 1.38 with the Accent, high 1.37 with the Lancer SRC.
Saw rb-44-13 ( to me second polish driver ) do a high 1.35 in the Lancer X.

I managed to get a 1:47.5xx lap time at Tokyo but the winner was running away with 1:46.xxx times (at least 1 sec faster).

Rally cars were their usual mediocre self but after trying the Monaco race out, the rally cars popularity went through the roof again.

What the hell are PD thinking running that combo? Let's use the nice and wide GT500's on the slowest most technical circuit in the game, add in some dice rolling penalties and invite all the quick match novices. What can go wrong?

No idea because it was a smash em up derby. No matter how clean I am, there's those guys that drive like poop, or hit you on purpose.

Had a 37.8 in the 206 last night but I think a perfect lap (possibly with a draft) is around .5. 4:58.something best total in it but it can't really compete with the big guns. The Focus and Scooby Sedan can scare the Lancers though.

If I remember right, 4:56-57 was a good benchmark total.

Yes, I also see a 4.56, could even be a bit faster with some luck at the start and T1.

It's quite funny to see some infamous SRF heroes struggle when it's not available ... I've already met a few :D ...
