They would cause mayhem in the 458's, the 'I've got to win brigade' would be throwing their cars all over the place
Not sure if I love being overrated .

Traction control in a 458? Never!
Funnily enough, I got 2 SRF accusations by people I passed on opposite lock. Not sure I'd be able to do it with SRF on without a tank slapper getting involved.
the guy dissapeared for two races, came back and went from 67s laps to 63's within a couple off races
I was going to wait but now that they're changing the daily races to erm...daily, they might make a decent QM alternative. Have you checked a few videos on youtube of them? They make day one of a tuned car QM look tame.
Daily races are ok but...
1. They change daily. At the moment I'm finding that it's not long enough to find a car you like, tune it if allowed, and get used to the new car and new track. This will get better as I learn the tracks and get to know which cars I like. They are going to have to start repeating soon - there's not many tracks and classes. I'm sure before long I'll have a selection of favourite cars with set-ups for various tracks.
2. When the race ends the room closes and you have to wait about five minutes for the next one. Matching is done again so you don't necessarily end up racing the same people.
3. Matching is done on driver rating so you generally end up racing with people on the same rank as you. This is ok but it's very easy to drop down with a bit of bad luck. You may find yourself having to work your way back up again occasionally.
4. They are regional so no racing with mates from other continents. Friends-only rooms may be the way to go but it wasn't working last I heard. The rooms just fill up with randoms as soon as they are open. They will probably fix this soon though.
The car selection is dire at the moment. Too many VGTs and modern race cars. I'm hoping for some interesting DLC. On the up side - No Gixxers.
I literally hate race cars and love 'normal' road cars, would you say GT Sport (at the moment) isn't really for me?
It's about 70% race cars and VGT, and the normal cars are not particularly inspiring. The racing is heavily biased towards race cars. It's the nature of the game at the moment. Things may improve but I'd say it's not the game you are looking for yet.

That's the facts 👍 ...
And how do YOU do in the races ?

One thing I haven't found any info on, how wide are the driver rating bands? Does it take a long time to improve on them?
I'm like you, haven't come across any familiar names in races yet. Have had some great races nevertheless, seen some stupidity but not as much as is being reported.Hi RJ. I've not had much time recently so I've only done a few races and my driver rating is still low so it's been pretty easy, generally starting on pole and not having much competition. What competition there has been has been good and clean. I don't know what's going on further back though. Lots of new players. I've not seen any familiar names on track yet, maybe when I get my ranking up. I know @Daduce1947 and @Mwerte are playing but I've not met them yet.
Stirling, I can assure you that climbing with ranking, for example A-S like mine, it's very very difficult to win a race !!!
I got mine today and had a good look at the single player bits and bobs but I'm a few days away from racing online. I found out that my PS3 buttons aren't available (R2 accelerate and square for brake) so I've had to start getting used to L2 for brake. Slow but sure progress but after nearly 500 miles, my left index finger has turned into a hook. I'm going to spend a few days getting used to all the new tracks and then give the racing a shot at the weekend. I've only got a couple of hours worth of single player stuff left to do so I guess I'll have to hit the arcade mode. Do you get mileage points etc from arcade mode or is it just for fun?
I saw here on gtplanet that there are a lot of tricks to make money, win races, multiply breads and fish ....
I honestly do not rush, though I should, seeing my age !!
Rocket I never platinum a game in my life ...
