Finally the new GT4 TV AD! [LINK TO VIDEO!]

In September 2003, I was proudly in Estoril (Portugal) Circuit to film the PS2 GT4 Ad, I acted as one of the pit crew guys. The commercial was directed by Joseph Kahn (same director of "Torque") and a lot of cars where there. But the time passed and the commercial never appeared. Finnaly 5 minutes ago I was watching AXN in Portugal and saw 1 or 2 seconds of that clip! I can't wait to see it in full!

Here is the link to the video. I think the quality is ok, but I could post a larger file with a little bit more quality and picture size. This is the Portuguese version of the ad, the only one I could get since I'm Portuguese... ;)

At the end it says: "700 Cars" , "50 Tracks", "On the edge... of reality".

I saw it! In a hurry though but what I saw of it looked really cool....it's combined with some challenge event for gt4 here in holland.

So maybe you could tell us which of the guys you are in the commercial :)

If so then I saw that ad in full yesterday.

Yeah it sounds exactly like the ad we saw although I think we may of only got a shortened version since I only saw the Model T, 350Z, Ford GT40, Alfa Romeo etc when in the link to the other topic states other cars.

Yes, it is that ad!
The car that enters the pit should be the FORD GT them it transforms into the Ford Model T, The Alfa, The Nissan 350 etc...
 
Any video links? Because I don't believe it will be on our TV anytime ... ever ...
 
I saw it yesterday during the F1 GP here in Australia. When the ad started I somehow "felt" it was the GT4 ad as it featured a lot of cool cars. Then as the GT pulls into the pits and transforms into other cars, I knew it was it.
Very cool ad I must say.

Yep thats exactly how it was with me, I also "felt" it was a GT4 ad then it said over 700 cars... yep its GT4, then the GT came in the pits and transformed in to those cars.

Was a very cool ad.

That ad made it way to Australian audiences, where else?

I will try to rip it to my pc 2morrow. Then I'll post it here. ;)

The one i've seen is a bit small.. just a few seconds. Probably there is a longer version.

Record the F1 coverage tonight....... I'm expecting to see the ad on ITV...... with the game out on Wednesday the first F1 race of the season is the PERFECT time to start advertising....... if its not on I'll be very surprised!
 
I'll be watching and recording the F1 GP, hopefully it'l be on! :)

Just realised it's on two channels at the same time..oh man..which one will the commercial be on??!

Good work, the ad I saw lasted longer than a few seconds, maybe 20-30.
 
I just saw the ad again, the Ford GT, blue 350Z and others driving around a track, then the GT pulls into the pits and presses a button which makes it turn into a Peugeot rally car, Ford model T, then 350Z . After that it shows game footage and the usual 700+ cars 50+ tracks etc then it says instores March 10.

Sorry about the double post.
 
I saw the add a few times during the F1. Its a really cool add. I think one of the other cars racing was the Pescalardo(sp?) LMP...

Press the link... Press the FREE button, wait the time displayed in the middle of the page and after 30 - 60 seconds the link will be available. The "price" to pay for free webhosting. ;) Maybe any mod will put it in the VIDEO section of GTPLANET.

Not seen the Ad on UK TV yet.

The 350Z was a long term test car for Evo magazine, they ran a piece when the car was used to shot the advert, back last year.
