Its going to be the gameplay that clinches it, If its uber haptics and spot on tyre model the game might come alive in a new way hitting those apex's might be all the more satisfying for it. That would renew the learning curves that have for me at least have become to ingrained to be exciting anymore. Exploring the edge of grip with L&R triggers that have variable resistance fascinates me this may be able to translate the feel of more analogue engineering in earlier vehicles. We could be on the cusp of a very re-invigorated driving experience, that gives us a new level of tactile information we can work into better lap times, wont be long to we get to taste the secret sauce now... I have faith in Kaz
I use a wheel so the Joy Pad Heptic feed back not on my Radar, but I hope it brings what it promises to the players who use it.
On that subject off course the PS4 players will not get that, which leads into improved physics, Improving the Physics takes processing power, as much as the underlying coding, The Cross Platform release, means the game is been strangled by the lack of power of the PS4, Thing like the number of people in a lobby, the new designed livery editor (which I'm looking forward too) will probably be restricted on File Size of 15KB still.
The Game on PS5 will look awesome, but I hope it's not all show and you are correct in your assumption.
God forbid the game still has the same HUD and the same categories for fictional race cars. If only they had changed the HUD, it might've been a total game changer. And could you imagine how crazy it would be to not have Gr. 3 cars labeled as Gr. 3 cars? That would be the future of gaming right there.
Don't think you are getting my point.
On the HUD,
There are some views where there's is no rear view mirror, this is an easy fix.
The Radar you can't have this on and change Brake Bias etc why not separate it and put it in a better position aka ACC Radar
Tyre Temps, the tyre model is thermal based so could be nice to see if your overheating your tyres before they go off.
On Gr Cars, cars are been grouped pretty willy nilly Group C with VGTs, old GT1, DTMs, with GT3 and GT4s. They are Not balanced and whatever BOP or PP they try, a Grouo C is not going to be balanced with a LMP,
When you go from one game to another its a chance to improve, small and large features none of the above is a big fix.
