Whatever these lines are, the last thing I want them to be are new fictional tracks. At the moment PD can't afford to make new original tracks. There are many real world tracks and classic originals that need to come back/debut on the series. These two must be the priority.
exactly!

I dont get your stand point of brand new tracks being of lower priority? new is attractive / familiarity brings contempt? there might be quite a backlash if gt7 was gts 2.0 with little new to offer but legacy gran turismo tracks... I think this will already be considered by polyphony and we will get a wide selection from the get go, otherwise there will be a fan backlash (and we are hard to please are we not?)
its looking like GTS with a single player added on so your point could be valid, The HUD is the same, The race car classes are the same, the glimpses of the AI don`t look good, lobby sizes are the same, the only game play improvement appear to be the weather,TOD features, but that might have limitations on certain tracks. The single player element and I am happy fans of this will get that but if the terrible AI from GTS carries over what is the point

There appears to be very little if your a league/community organiser racer, to get excited about. More tracks great, what about more lobby options (silence), bigger grids (not coming due to ps4 crossplay)

Its going to be the gameplay that clinches it, If its uber haptics and spot on tyre model the game might come alive in a new way hitting those apex's might be all the more satisfying for it. That would renew the learning curves that have for me at least have become to ingrained to be exciting anymore. Exploring the edge of grip with L&R triggers that have variable resistance fascinates me this may be able to translate the feel of more analogue engineering in earlier vehicles. We could be on the cusp of a very re-invigorated driving experience, that gives us a new level of tactile information we can work into better lap times, wont be long to we get to taste the secret sauce now... I have faith in Kaz

(heck, even annoying, vulgar and extremely inappropriate songs such as "Ice Cream" by Black pink) can be used.
Double entendres are so scary and inappropriate. Luckily they don't use them in any other song ever made apart from Ice Cream

No but seriously you've been on this "Black Pink is bad and their music is inappropriate" thing for like a year now it's getting weird

God forbid the game still has the same HUD and the same categories for fictional race cars. If only they had changed the HUD, it might've been a total game changer. And could you imagine how crazy it would be to not have Gr. 3 cars labeled as Gr. 3 cars? That would be the future of gaming right there.

I use a wheel so the Joy Pad Heptic feed back not on my Radar, but I hope it brings what it promises to the players who use it.

On that subject off course the PS4 players will not get that, which leads into improved physics, Improving the Physics takes processing power, as much as the underlying coding, The Cross Platform release, means the game is been strangled by the lack of power of the PS4, Thing like the number of people in a lobby, the new designed livery editor (which I'm looking forward too) will probably be restricted on File Size of 15KB still.

The Game on PS5 will look awesome, but I hope it's not all show and you are correct in your assumption.

Don't think you are getting my point.

On the HUD,
There are some views where there's is no rear view mirror, this is an easy fix.
The Radar you can't have this on and change Brake Bias etc why not separate it and put it in a better position aka ACC Radar
Tyre Temps, the tyre model is thermal based so could be nice to see if your overheating your tyres before they go off.

On Gr Cars, cars are been grouped pretty willy nilly Group C with VGTs, old GT1, DTMs, with GT3 and GT4s. They are Not balanced and whatever BOP or PP they try, a Grouo C is not going to be balanced with a LMP,

When you go from one game to another its a chance to improve, small and large features none of the above is a big fix.

I'm still not convinced yet that PD aren't going to change the HUD before release. They don't even have an oil light on the HUD like past games.

Maybe m wrong. I will say I think it's rather odd that the recent Daytona gameplay had HUD turned off, while it was on in the Deep Forest video.
I still think PD are trying to show off in car cam since the first RX-V trailer. We’ve only seen the one Daytona replay in full.

My nine year old niece is into Black Pink. Should I be concerned? Serious question.
Not at all, they make some of the most harmless music out there (and from what I can tell, all the members are good people that haven’t been involved in controversy). Dude that brought them up just has an issue with them for some reason

Hell you can even check dudes signature, apparently it’s “bad” to be a fan of this particular group but I’ve never heard why it’s a bad thing

They're a mainstream K-Pop group so by-default they're effectively rated "G".

I've been following K-Pop (and J-Pop) for 12 years and can confidently say that it's safe-for-kids.

If you are going to bag on Blackpink, bag on them for effectively killing 2NE1, the better group that they were obviously replaced for.

I do not know why I had to reveal this part of myself on a sim racing forum, but that's what happens when one man makes a Don Quixote like crusade against something so small fry and so stupid, frankly.

Why are you guys discussing this instead of Gran Turismo? 😂

So I've looked at a ton of current race schedules, F1, Moto GP, IMSA, SuperFormula, Super GT, D1 GP, and some others looking for the characteristics of that light trace and nothing has come close. So I think it's safe to assume it's a new fictional track, or something else off the wall that I can't track down.

I did the same. I looked at pretty much every race track that has a somewhat notable name and none of them match this apparent ribbon. Closest I could find was Fuji which has a final corner somewhat resembling the corner at the end/beginning of the straight in the promo, but the rest appears to not match.

@05XR8 Thunderhill does not have the same type of corner at the end of any of its straights as the ribbon in the advert does. I looked at Thunderhill, but I don't think it would make the cut before a lot of other US tracks anyways. Sebring, Road Atlanta, Road America and a host of others would all make it into a GT game before Thunderhill, IMO, which is a pretty mid-tier circuit.

I'm betting on a SSR5 or less likely Grand Valley re-imagining.

Having a guess with Thunderhill T1-3 looking like Apricot Hill.

I can understand other circuits being more important. We just don't know how PD come up with their selections.
We got Autopolis over Motegi. Laguna Seca over Daytona, Indianapolis, insert every other popular USA track.

Hey, it could very well be SSR5.

It would be interesting but I wouldn't mind if they left surprises for us to find when we boot it up.
They would leak before release anyway. I hope the car list and track list get revealed after the presentation tomorrow.

I miss the Tokyo route 11 i think it was called that in some earlier gt games. It was a hard track/route and even harder reversed/mirrored.Spended a lot of hour's on it,just to try memorize some brakepoint's.
