Playstation doesn't know how to make an exciting Gran Turismo trailer like Polyphony themselves do.

Its an ad for TV, not a full blown trailer.

I really hope the launch trailer/Intro movie that I'm assuming will be made by PD knocks it out of the park. These trailers from Playstation honestly somehow manage to make me less excited about the game. It's bad enough the scripted lines are extremely corny, but seeing nothing but boring reused sizzle reel isn't fun either.
I think its decent for what PD have given them to work with.

The open nature of the GT career is the marketing angle from Sony here - which is really the only approach they could go for because no footage that PD themselves have released is particularly exciting by itself

I really want to boot it up and hear a Daiki Kasho song so badly😎
Regarding that, I gotta say it's really weird to not hear his new music yet when it's this late in the marketing schedule. GT5's and GT6's trailers had him at least once, and all we heard for GT7 was some copyright free song they likely grabbed from Soundcloud, so... I wonder what's going on? o_o

Looking at Tokyo Central Inner Loop, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a new version of SS Route in that location. The bus top section looks like the bus stop section in Tokyo. Even the ess. Tokyo is just flipped the other way.

Weird things like this scare me.. last thing I want to hear is they feel we all deserve to hear a 2022 version of Planetary Go instead! 🤮

I've personally never liked the Daiko Kasho songs at all. They're awfully generic, way too serious, and I don't see how they relate to the series at all. Moon over the Castle on the other hand is a unique instrumental theme song that has been a part of the series since day one. The guitar version is ofcourse ridiculous, but in a fun way. If they're once again not using Moon over the Castle (which should've always been the obvious choice), they might as well use a song that doesn't sound like royalty free dad rock.

I've read Feeder is releasing a new album this year, maybe they have something that fits GT7?

This just my comparison but modified Ss5 for the above, i compared it tlo this old file on the forum...

I believe this to be the top straight section modified but as always I could be wrong!

I'm thinking the light trace at the 16 second mark does look more like Albert Park then any of the other suggestions.

Does anyone know which circuit is being raced on in that part of the video?

I can’t see it being SSR5. Not based on images or layout, but based on the fact that (IMO) those circuits have been effectively replaced by the Tokyo Expressway circuits. I should add, I don’t have any idea as to what circuit it is teasing. It may very well be a reimagined SSR5, but I’m hoping for a Grand Valley or Autumn Ring

EDIT: who’s to say PD aren’t just messing with us and Kaz is laughing his (you know what) off at us all guessing!! 😂

For a minute I thought it might be Silverstone...but my eyes are probably only seeing what they want to see at this stage.

This one is still the most curious to me.

The animation strongly suggest it's all one track, just like all the previous line animations have gone off screen and come back on. Apricot Hill also does that.

So whilst we can't know what is specifically happening off screen for it to be a looping circuit it has to be something vaguely like this:

Even accounting for other parts that could be off screen and the warping I can't think of any track which looks vaguely similar. Well some do, but they don't then have the specific parts we can see, not guessed.

It's not Albert Park, way off.

And the changes would have to be significant for it to be SSR5

You're looking at plan views of the circuits vs a three-dimensional representation.

The left side and the top are nearer to the viewer than the right side and bottom; imagine holding a piece of wood in the shape of the circuit only, looking straight down on it. Then skew it so it's 30 degrees off the plane with the bottom lower down, and move your hands so it's about 30 degrees off the plane with your left hand higher than your right.

It actually comes pretty close to SSR5 that way, which I wasn't expecting. Twist it a lot more and Albert Park is close, but the run from T14 to T15 is too short without some major warping.

True, but that one doesn't look that skewed to my eyes. The other one I posted a guess at in #110 has far more of an angle, with that bottom line almost coming out of the screen at the viewer, so that one could be a lot different, plus the missing parts of course. But the parts we can see of that one are still very curious.

There is no way to fit a three-dimensional projection of the SSR5 circuit on that line.

I'm kind of able to see SSR 5 in it. The straight on the very right of your screenshot of the old track is longer, then the hairpin leading down to what's seen here. The first straight then is eradicated, chicane (also I don't see the point of that now), then the next straight also made longer and it goes on from there.
Maybe it's implemented into the Tokyo tracks, so some scheme changes could be related to that.

But in the end it's just speculation. They could do anything with the fictional tracks

Whatever these lines are, the last thing I want them to be are new fictional tracks. At the moment PD can't afford to make new original tracks. There are many real world tracks and classic originals that need to come back/debut on the series. These two must be the priority.

I think the fictional tracks are the games strong suit, real world tracks are great, but not if they're rinsed to death & available in other games. Indeed without an influx of original designed tracks this game would soon get stale fast, thankfully GTS proved they can deliver them. Im curious what the final (hopefully immense) track list will be after 2/3 years of updates, will they remain free in this service game era?
