It's Apricot Hill for me

Seattle is kind of Nintendo town or Microsoft city now compared to when it was in GT3/4. I wonder if that factors into it in any way.

I still think we might be looking at only one track here, but because the lines can be skewed and twisted, it appears to be another circuit.

There's also the fact that Apricot Hill may have suffered layout changes, like Deep Forest, and we're getting the illusion of another track being there.

that area doesn't fit these line directions at all though

Knowing they've already made changes to Deep Forest, who's to say this isn't a 'modernized' Apricot Hill, with some corners changed? Just enough for people to recognize it but updated.

I think that, to the right side, we have a skewed perspective view of the front straight, a modified turn 1 and 2 (they got rid of the kink), then turns 7 and 8.

It's worth noting that the Deep Forest trace was the original layout not the new one...

And also that the Daytona trace was the new NASCAR course but we've only seen the original layout oval and 24h courses in the game.

So we've had a new layout teased with an old layout, and an old layout teased with a new layout. Maybe they'll actually match the map with the in-game layout this time? 🤷‍♀️

Also, I asked because I wasn't sure: is there a precedent for a trailer/ad teasing more than one circuit?

Anybody else feeling pretty meh about the new game?
It’s been roughly 10 years since GT6 came out, yet it feels we may not get much of a different experience in GT7, better graphics and a weather system aside.

We don’t even know if we’ll have the option of endurance races.

I don’t know, I hope the game has mich more than has been revealed so far, speaking about substance and new ideas here not necessarily tracks or cars which are a given.

Route 246 I’d love for that to come back. One of my favourites. New York, Seoul, Seattle, Paris street at night that thing was so tight to navigate but a lot of fun. Man there is so many it’s not just nostalgia they are truly fun classic GT tracks and still enjoyable today.

The apparent simpleness of the course (like pure radius arcs, not compound & arrow straight straights) tends to point to a highway-based course, particularly a Japanese highway...maybe an update on SSR5? It does have a subtle similarity to Fuji too, but I don't think it's Fuji.

But again, they've already teased that hairpin and long straight section of Apricot Hill which looks spot on to Apricot Hill, and looks completely different to other track tease.

I think they deliberately skew, distort, warp, and use different perspectives on the lines, to avoid making it too obvious. As far as I know (I might be wrong) track teasers in trailers are for one track only, per trailer. And I think this is the return of another classic, Apricot Hill.
