That's correct. The McRae Motorsports Escort is in the 1970s class. The Ken Block/Hoonigan Escort is in the Open class. They are two separate DLC packs; the Block/Hoonigan one is expected to be the last DLC pack.

It's been known that Shibuya will be available on Tueday - today - for a while now. DLC packs are always released on Tueday/Wednesday.

I think this is the last major DLC pack Codemasters have planned. The Ken Block/Hoonigan Escort is still unreleased (but the Mini Gymkhana was available with Monte Carlo, so maybe the Escort will come with Shibuya), and hopefully the super teams - Brembo, Mobil 1 Yokohama, etc. - will be made available in the near future.

1) I could be wrong, but I saw no actual confirmation about Shibuya today until then, just solid speculation. 2)

Superteams are not planned to be made available as DLC.

There ya go.

Anyway, Shibuya's release trailer for today from CM:

North American PSN users - GO buy X-Games Asia NOW.

It's 0.99. Has to be a typo, as codemasters says retail is $4.99 (which is still cheaper than I thought). I'm guessing they got confused with the team packs and priced it for a buck too.

GO GO GO

Did you buy it? Was it $10 or $1? For one I'd grab it in an instant but I just can't justify paying 10. I can't with Monte Carlo. That's 1/5th I paid for the whole game.
yes i buy it,cost me 400 mp on xbox360 :)
on psn it cost $4.99

As I said in my previous post, NA PSN is still priced at $0.99 on the Asia Track Pack. Should be 5 bucks, but isn't for the time being.

Trying to decide if I want to get the other superteam liveries. I have Texaco, don't use it much, if at all.

Can you use the superteams in Dirt Tour mode? And if you can use them (but choose not to), will the AI use those cars? I keep getting races against the hopeless AI (Smetsky, Spengler, etc.), so some new competition might be nice.

Yeah, you can use superteam liveries in DiRT Tour mode. I haven't personally seen any of the AI use them, even did some races again and didn't see any.

Cool.

I was just wondering about the AI, because I didn't get the Mud & Guts car pack until just now, but I've seen them using those cars all week.

I can confirm the 99 cents. What a steal (I hope). It's downloading right now.

Looks like Codies have made a few changes to multiplayer with the X-Games Asia pack: first of all, the frequency of Landrush games in Pro Tour has been reduced by 50%, based on player feedback and statistics generated by the server. Secondly, point-to-point races now have staggered starts, which will be a massive help - one of the reasons why I hated Trailblazer events (especially in Norway) was because everyone was all bunched together to begin with, and the ghosts obscured your vision. It was particualrly a problem in Norway, because the car in front would kick up sprays of snow that could make it very difficult to see where you were going.

As for the X-Games Asia pack, I like two of the tracks and dislike the other two. I particularly like the long version, even if it's just a reproductions of the Shibuya rallycross stages from DIRT 2 (with the jump over the track changed to a bridge). But I would have liked some Gymkhana arenas to go with it ...

I tried Pro Tour, no staggered starts. Maybe it's in the PS3 patch or something. I know the patch is out in Australia, nothing in NA yet. Mixed feelings on it though.

Also, fyi, apparently they turned on "Double fanbase" for online until Sunday for X-games.

Double XP is to celebrate the launch of the recent X Games Asia Track Pack and the real life X Games 17 which begins tomorrow. Double XP should run until midnight Sunday 31st July so get it while you can

No big deal to me, but I'm sure those gunning for the 35 trophy/achievement will love it.

I wasn't going to get this pack at 1st cause I'm not happy with only seeing tracks in single player only. But for just .99 its too good to pass up. Downloading it now, good looking out fellas 👍

Well technically you can use it online, in Jam Sessions. Not many using it though, at least on PS3. Couldn't start or join any session last night with the track, maybe more will get it over time (or when they see it's a buck...for now).

Also, I see they added a bridge over the big jump in Shibuya. You still jump, but I guess if you screw up, there's something there to make it easier on you. Eh. They also took out a lot of dirt and put in tarmac.

Okay, playing the Shibuya stages some more, and I confidently say they are awesome. They're some of the most difficult circuits in the game. I've seen videos of DIRT 2 races, and the rallycross stages there were real mazes, twisting and turning everywhere. I thought some of them were a little overbaord, but I do confess to some disappointment when I started DIRT 3 and found that even the hardest rallycross stages were actually very simple. It was getting to the point where I knew them so well that I'd start trying to work out which parts of the stages are shared with other circuits in other disciplines (for example, the Aspen super-special, rallycross and Landrush circuits all have common sections). But the Shibuya stages are great. They're loaded with difficult turns.

But I'd still like more Gymkhana and Landrush venues ...

I'd have thought with an X-Games pack they would have too. I do like gymkhana as well and new courses would be nice.

Shibuya is pretty cool. You should get DiRT 2 if it's not obscenely expensive. It's pretty hard to get new (at least here) but when I was traveling earlier this month I found a used PS3 copy for $10 at a small mom & pop store. Great purchase, loving the game. Rally, Rallycross and Trailblazer are extremely challenging, moreso than DiRT 3 imo. DiRT 3 has the refined gameplay & much better car selection advantage, but as far as track selection and (to me) challenging tracks, advantage to DiRT 2. I was shocked at how many locations there are, even if they are only for one discipline (e.g., Utah for trailblazers, London is Rallycross only I think). Has Utah, LA, London, Croatia, Japan, China, Morroco, Malaysia, Baja and I think I'm forgetting one. Has a weak online, and most people online have ludicrous ranks (200+, even saw someone with 690 one time, I mean wtf...) but I'm having a blast with it. Will have my platinum trophy in a week or so too.

I would love to see a new Gymkhana stage and another Rally one, personally. I really couldn't care less about Landrush, can't stand it in DiRT 2 or 3.

Oh, a new party mode place wouldn't be too bad either. But by the time they got something together for that, the online would be few and far between and it wouldn't be worth it.

Unfortuantely, there's no more planned DLC. The superteams pack (as far as I know) and the Ken Block/Hoonigan Escort are the only things left to download.

While that's probably true, Codemasters also said the Superteams wouldn't be released at all. Yet there they are on the PSN store. Who knows. Maybe we'll get some more horn packs :grumpy:

I'm really liking the new track pack. Highly recommended for while it is at a measly $1.

I don't have Monte Carlo yet because I'm not spending $10 on that.
