I got the Monte Carlo pack yesterday and love it! $10 isn't that much money considering that the online community is pretty lively for this game (on PS3). I have trouble finding Joy Riding rooms but the Pro Tour matches are always easy to find.

same joy riding is really hard to join but luckily i got the trophy

Sadly, the PC side isn't as active. Can never find Gymkhana, Outbreak or Invasion games. There are probably 4 or 5 Rally/Rally-X/Trailblazer games on a given night.

While I was at the pharmacy last night I picked up a $20 PSN card and bought everything that's been released so far. (except the car unlock one) Will get some play time tonight. 👍

Ineter ... is it worth $10? Seriously ...
I already had a whole stack of Microsoft points on my account - more than enough to buy the stages. And yes, I think they're worth it. It feels like an entirely different game. The stages are very difficult, and you get a real sense of speed as you tear through the narrow sections.

At the same time, it should be noted that I picked up DIRT 3 for just $78. With the $10 for Monte Carlo and the $7 for the Power & Glory car pack, I've paid $95 all up - which is less than the basic (ie no DLC) PS3 and 360 games were retailing for.

Eh? I paid £33 for the game and will have spent around £12 on DLC when I get around to it, £45 is about $65-70?

Okay, it's official: I love the Escort Mk. II Cosworth. So much so that I want the Monster Energy one. Although I tried downloading the Mini Gymkhana Special because I had some leftover Microsoft points, but for some reason, the download failed.

You're in the UK. I'm in Australia. Here, video games - particularly for the PS3 and 360 - retail at about $100.

Ah, thought you were in US (though I knew you were an Ozzie). I think the RRP in the UK is £50 for pretty much all PS3 games, but rarely cost beyond £40. Slightly surprising, our game in Aus retails for same as UK if that's any consolation :P

Yeah, I never see games for £50 here in the UK. All the £40 games still claim to be 'on special offer at £40!'. Yeah right...

I'm tempted to get the Monte Carlo rally stages and the Mini Ghymkana. I wonder what would happen if you put the 2 together? :scared:

From that video, it doesn't really look as twisty as I thought it would be, seems like a very high speed rally course.

I bought it yesterday, it's awesome! Challenging no doubt. 👍 I recommend it.
Also: I'm thinking about hosting a 5 Round event on the Monte Carlo tracks (PS3) It's sorta tough getting people. :( So if you would be interested in joining please do we'll set up a date and hopefully have a good few races. Add me if necessary. :)

Antonisbob, I am interested. I am average but enjoy when you guys create events, very fun and motivating.

Just got the Monte Carlo rally and the McRae charity pack. Not tried them out yet mind, but will get the power & glory one when I put some more funds in. 10 minutes to download both which was nice.

Should keep me distracted from trying to be any good with the Trailblazer borefest I've been trying to get points from today!

I guess Mud & Guts is next week? Just put in DiRT 3 and the coming soon message came up. Hopefully it's not in two weeks. That's not "soon".

I'm down for that as well. Also an average driver. Add me on PSN.

Yes, it's probably going to be next week. The twoweek delay was because Codemasters wanted to take a break from releasing DLC.

The fog isn't thick. It's noticeable, but you can still see far enough ahead in the distance that it won't be a problem. 'Hazy' might be a better descriptive term.

Agree - it is more for the ambiance than an actual factor in driving.

I played some Monte Carlo last night and really enjoyed it. I love the narrower stages. Sadly the PC has so little support there was no one online to race with so I was stuck doing DiRT tour events and time trials.

Loading times are a pain, though. But they were when I downloaded the Power & Glory car pack, too, and have improved since then.

Inter, I have the same "white screen" issue you talked about. Only got it the first time I loaded a Monte Carlo stage though.

I believe it's about the same as the other Gymkhana cars. Like 500hp and 800kg. Don't have it in front of me though.

Now, if you want the stats that I care about, it's oversteer from a crazy short wheel base and really short gearing. I can't use my standard Gymkhana setup on it.
